Merienda hits with hubby as we were waiting for his jeans to be altered. We wanted dessert and were attracted mainly by those giant orange seats which look so comfortable but ended up on a regular table haha

Hubby's Matcha Dacquoise was so delicious. I don't like Green Tea or Matcha because of the after taste but this had hardly any. It tasted more like a rich white chocolate cake that was decked with almond slivers. The grape on top wasn't fresh though.

My Valrhona Chocolate Cake was so rich and chocolatey. I was still full from lunch so I took my sweet time.

Keeping this place in mind for desserts and a steady place to hang out. Drinks look interesting too.

Nothing super exciting about their matcha espresso but it's a nice warm drink to soothe the cold temperature. The 8oz I ordered looks so tiny compared to the 12oz with only a difference of P20. I think, ordering a 12oz would give more value for money.

Been wanting to try this dessert cafe for weeks now. I finally had a chance this week and it did not disappoint. Of course, I ordered the Matcha parfait and tried the sakura-flavored mochi. The sundae was good, not too sweet. But the matcha syrup is a bit too sweet for me. Loved the matcha-flavored mochi! So yummy! The sakura mochi is good too. I can't quite define how it tastes though, it's sweet but different. You're just gonna have to taste it for yourself. 128516 I'll definitely come back for the matcha latte and other desserts, maybe the frozen brazo de mercedes next time.

Skipping my usual caffeine addiction, I tried the coffee jelly parfait. Oh yes! At the bottom it has cube cakes with caramel syrup, topped by vanilla ice cream and on top are coffee jelly and mochi with coffee filling. I set aside the mochi as I go down to the sweetest part at the bottom, and its perfect while chewing my mochi. Not bad for P240.

Also my dear friend, Cel C, shared her sakura mochi, which I find yummy. Its a seasonal kind of mochi. Its made of cherry blossom 127800 something I find interesting

Green tea is my fave flavor in the world followed by chocolate. I like that their interiors are kinda modern and their staffs are really friendly. Did order Iced Matcha and it didn't disappoint me. The matcha flavor is not overpowering and I like the sweetness too.

You made me a matcha convert! The matcha flavors were not overpowering and blended well with their other flavors. The servers were also friendly and were right about their bestsellers. The quality of their matcha made me want to order their other drinks next time! 127861

Yes, I like green tea too. As much of a coffee lover I am, I used to be into tea a lot. Gave me my dose of caffeine before coffee did. And this gave me a dose of sweet green tea goodness. Upon first bite, you'll immediately taste the tea. Combined with the rest of the mochi, this makes for one enjoyable dessert/snack 128523

I'm a Matcha lover so I tried Mochicream for their Matcha drink and their Matcha Dacquoise (dak-waz) Made of layers of almond & hazelnut meringue & whipped cream or buttercream but they used matcha for the cream but it doesn't taste matcha. Sad! I 10084️ the drink but the dacquoise you cannot taste the matcha it's too sweet for me and I'd like it defrosted. Medyo nakakaumay. 128522

Caveat: Drinks present themselves to contain more than they actually do.

I got myself a 16oz Iced Caramel Macchiato. After a short while, my muted sucking turned into desperate airy slurps. The drink is very good. I remember because my girlfriend checked up on me and asked me what I was having and whether it was good. And I replied to her a positive feedback about the drink that ended with an exclamation mark! Whoa. Did I just find myself in a complimentception?! Haha I kid.

This cafe is on the third floor of Megamall's Fashion Wing and gives its guest an unobstructed view of the brand new establishment. Maybe next time, I'll try their Matcha drink. ;-)

The Ceremonial Matcha set of Mochicream Café costs P250. It comes with an icecream mochi of your choice.

It's such a novelty to make your own matcha with such kawaii tea making apparatus. They recommend to pour 80C temperature hot water into the bowl of matcha powder to make a perfect cup of matcha tea. 127861 But I have to be honest. It took me so long to get a satisfactory shot of the set that the hot water has gotten a bit cold and must be well below 80C by the time I'm ready to pour. 128513 It ended up still having a few tiny lumps even though I've whisked it as briskly as I can. The matcha is unsweetened and has a slightly bitter aftertaste. But it goes well with the already sweet mochi by balancing it out.

The mochi icecream 127841 I chose is adzuki (red beans). Sweetness is just right. It's vanilla icecream covered in adzuki mash covered with mochi.

I'm currently on a literary break here at Mochicream Cafe in SM Megamall. It's my first time here so I ordered something that's relatively a safe default flavor for all cafes: caramel frap.

All it took was one sip for me to fall in love with the drink. 10084

Good ambiance, lovely drink. I am a happy writer right now. :)

Try their mochi!!! It's definitely different from mochiko cos these are just filled with cream and not ice cream but it's definitely a must try.

If mochiko's 90% ice cream, 10% wrapper,
Mochicream's 80% wrapper with 20% cream filling. I think i made it sound bad but you wouldnt miss the flavor.

It's a fad. H&M is everywhere at megamall. Pati si ale may H&M. The lines at the cashier were long... And I think Uniqlo is still better.

So after discovering H&M which i find to have too little selections, I hurriedly went to check St. Marc's... Then it was full... Decided to go to mochi cream since the ads "the best of both worlds" caught me...

So what's "the best of both worlds" advertise? It's their matcha and espresso combined.. Hmmm... their largest size for Php 180. I ordered matcha dacquois for a treat...

Dacquois.. Pronounced as "da.kwaz" is a cake originated from southwestern France. Layers of almonds and hazelnut cream with merengue... So nothing very Japanese but for the matcha mixed in the cream. Tastes a bit like sansrival with almonds... The cream with matcha does not taste like matcha.. Tastes like milk... Averagely sweet for me. Mejo nakakaumay.. I liked it defrosted a bit.

The matcha espresso.. You will first taste the matcha... Nice and smooth.. Followed by a super super super dark after taste of matcha.. So it's like the espresso darkened and strengthened the taste of matcha.. Couldn't distinguish the espresso. It's just like a matcha booster. I didn't like the dark aftertaste but that's quite a try.

The service was good. They'll serve you your order after you pay, so when i go seated, i ask for water.. The waiter told me to get it by the side of the counter... But then i did't move coz i was doing something.. so he was 'forced' to get one for me.

So it's a nice place to stay after shopping. That is if you're not planning to eat dinner or lunch... Chat? Maybe?

their mochis aren't really impressive. it has that "umay" factor, we only had a few bites of the white chocolate, red bean, and peach flavors.
