Patience is a virtue and is exceptionally good when you do wait for your Mochiko to soften! Lol I always enjoy a number of these but we'll always be a fan of the azuki and the black sesame, though really, it's a tough decision having to choose a fave from all the flavors! 128149

Loved the wall full of waving cats that will hypnotize you if you stare for quite sometime. Other than the wall, the store is so girly with splashes of pink everywhere - couches, tables and counters!

We got the strawberry flavored Mochiko for Cherienne and Green Tea for me. You can never deny the good quality of ice cream that they use. It's thick and creamy and captures the flavor spot on. I loved that their Green Tea flavor improved a lot. Great balance of Matcha and milk. I also like the texture of the mochi that kinda melts when the ice cream gets soft.

Wondering why Mochiko ATC was tagged as closed by looloo.

As far as i know,it never closed down...

After eating anywhere in ATC ...we either go
To dairy queen or mochiko!

Mochiko azuki for me....though the azuki beans seem to be drowned in all that vanilla base.

My kids love their cookie dough bars :)

It's bit of a messy mouthful and I'm a fan of mochi cream and matcha so the experience is like authentic vs microwave version. Still I enjoyed the brain freeze too much that I had two and 6 more to go. A must try!

Tried the cookie dough bar last night. I was actually looking for the one that has vanilla ice cream but its not available so i tried the one with green tea ice cream filled. Its yummy! But kinda messy to eat because the ice cream melts right away and everytime i bite it ice cream just oozes side by side. The size is kinda bitin for me hehe!

Hubby went home yesterday with a lot of loot for me. All of mu requests plus Mochiko as bonus 128521

He got me a Potato Chip Chocolate and Green Tea. I'll give the first one 127775127775127775127775127775 Sarap! Thick and creamy ice cream with a crunchy potato chip at the base. So crunch was a welcome contrast to the texture of the ice cream and the mochi had the right thinness and chewiness. Great balance of sweetness and saltiness too. Bitin nga lang! I think the price is too much for the serving 128530

Then the Green Tea Mochi. Not sure if they were projecting green tea Matcha here or just plain green tea because I did not get too much of the strong Matcha flavor. There was, a bitter after taste, reminiscent of Matcha but that was it. Maybe I should have eaten this first before the Potato Chip Chocolate eh?!? 128563 Rating it 127775127775127775 at the moment.

Hah! I want more of the Potato Chip Chocolate!!!!!!!! 128074

Since I was so excited about my mochiko, I forgot to take a picture of it before I stuffed my face with it. 128517 I wanted to get some Cookie Dough but they didn't have any. So I opted for my all-time favorite, Black Sesame. This'll always get 5 stars from me!

Another RED VELVET discovery! I loved how it had a tiny little piece of cake inside the mochi ball. It's the standard P70 per piece. It's not the best tasting Mochi nor the best Red Velvet but it sure is still a delight to devour. 128540

i am addicted to this, specially the avocado flavor. love it, specially the part where the hard part meets the ice cream part.... or the last bite if i may say.

also love the interiors where hundreds of manikenekos are simultaneously waving their hands on you.

who would have conceptualized this idea? very nice!

I'm up for anything with ice cream. Who doesn't like ice cream? Right?

Mochiko is quite a different experience. First there's a certain way to eat this frozen treat. Unlike other cold desserts which you can just dig in immediately, Mochiko needs patience. You have to eat it when the shell is soft enough to bite into. You'd know this by pressing on it. (Silly but necessary. You wouldn't want to leave with one of your teeth missing.)

Secondly, there are tons of adventurous flavors like black sesame, rose vanilla and red bean. I usually get the cookie dough one but this time i had the rose vanilla. It was kind of funky with the perfume-y scent but it's all good.

And lastly the art in their store are just so darling! Makes me want to mimic the design in my room.

So even if I think a small dollop of ice cream wrapped in mochi for P75 to P85 is expensive, I think I can manage the splurge.

I tried this the other day coz I love mochi and red velvet cupcakes. But it wasnt a really good combination. Better off as separate desserts.

Me and my hubby have been wanting to tried mochi ice cream. Mochi is a japanese dessert made of rice cake. Finally, we saw this shop at ATC and we tried the mango premium and choco-potato flavored mochiko. It has a different twist and the coating for the ice cream was nice! And it only take 2 mins for you to eat your mochiko. :)

I tried Mochiko's latest flavors-declaring tonight a cheat night: Potato Chip Chocolate, Cookie Dough and Oreos and Milk.

<do not judge. there were three of us sharing.>

The Potato Choolate Chip mochi wasn't chocolatey enough for me, but the chips I side it were good on their own. The Cookie Dough inside the vanilla mochi didn't have much taste (it was the biggest disappointment of the three).

The trio's saving grace was the Oreos and Milk mochi which had an entire Oreo inside it. After all, how can you go wrong with Oreo?
