No photos, sorry. I found their hot prawn salad to be quite tasty, but still cant compare to that of gloria maris' version. Their special fried chix was superb! I think they might have used breading which had salted egg yolks. Best thing about this place is i couldnt tell if they used msg for cooking. At least i dont think so coz i usually get headaches if food had too much of msg. 4 out of 5 spoons :)

This is the best Chinese resto in the metro where the food are great (no msg) i mean all foods taste really good. Their group food packages serves generously the good for 6 can be good for 10. The place is perfect for all special occasion and the serving is excellent and most of all price is reasonable. It's always delightful to return here.

I always see this place almost everyday but never really considered eating here. But when my lola's sister and my cousin visited us, we brought them here for lunch. I don't know what's with chinese food and "old" people but they seem to like this type of cuisine. 128517

We ordered the following:

Salt & Pepper Spareribs
-the pork was tender and does not have that much taba. 128588🏼 Good but too salty for me.

Lemon Chicken
-breaded chicken fillet with lemon sauce. The amount of sauce was just right to evenly coat the chicken. It was not too sweet and sour. Tama lang! 128518 I like that there were actual chicken pieces and not just breading or chicken skin. This was yummy but I still like North Park's. 128513

Birthday Noodles
-really good pancit canton! The sauce was just right. Not salty and weird! 128513 There were generous amount of veggies, quail eggs, shrimps and meat. The noodles was firm and not soggy. 128077🏼

Serving size were very generous and can be shared by 3-4 persons. Sulit na! Service was fast but the servers were not that nice. 128530

I'm quite picky when it comes to Chinese food since only a few tend to be authentic. But Modern Sichuan is a great find I consider. The serving is generous and presentation is good :) Really enjoyed these cheesy shrimps! Must-try fellas!

My impression of szechuan or sichuan has always been fried, really spicy cuisine. Modern Sichuan changed all that and then some. Stand out for this power lunch I had a week back was the Pork Slices in Chili Sauce. First of all it was not fried. Second the pork was delicately sliced into very thin strips and seems to have been steamed or poached into perfection. The cucumber slices that go with it were as delicate. The secret to this dish though is the sauce. The spice was not overwhelming at all and was a good mix of heat, sweet and salty. All I had to do was roll the pork strips and cumcumber into a bite sized cylinder, dip in the sauce and enjoy! You can't argue with presentation either!

What a nice way to change one's impressions! 128521128521128521

Must try: chili garlic fried chicken ( talk about awesome 127881128079) and the best among what we ordered, spicy stir fried string beans! 128525128525
We spent php500 each (group of 4 pero sobra un food, can be lower kung diet kayo, food can be shared by 5-6 person siguro ) sulit!!
Note: di kasi updated but we ate at glorietta branch, beside tony roma's..

My family's here again, this time for Father's Day. Ordered some hits and misses here and there, but sweet potato desert will always save the day.

After tasting Sichuan food in China, I have been a convert of Sichuan cuisine from southwestern China with its typical hot, spicy, and bold flavors, and generous use of red Sichuan peppers. And there have been a few Sichuan restaurants opening in Manila with LSQ as my favorite.

First time to try Modern Sichuan, and it is your typical Chinese banquet restaurant with big open floor filled with huge round tables that cater to big groups or family celebrations.

So I don't recommend you go there if you are just two, which was a mistake I made. It is better to go with big groups (ideally 6) so you can order and sample many dishes, at para mas sulit.

We ordered the Spicy Beef Kenchi, the Fried Oyster with spicy salt, and the Sizzling eggplant. Judging from the mostly mainland Chinese patrons, the food must be authentic!

But, nothing really stood out for me though. Although the menu was extensive and mouth watering, the actual dishes didn't look as good. They tasted okay, but , nonetheless, for the price paid (P1,400 with a little doggie bag), I would rather go to LSQ, a small "hole in the wall" Sichuan restaurant in Makati Avenue (check my earlier reviews) to satisfy my Sichuan cravings.

I didn't get much of a chance to try really spicy dishes because of my family. They only preferred mild spiciness.

This restaurant was okay, there's not really much to say. 128522

P.S. look at the photo, it looks like a cloth dryer. Hehehe

Spot the I 10084️ Taguig. Lol.

Modern Sichuan is good! If you know what to order and like spicy food. It's hard to deliver authentic Sichuan flavors because the Filipino and Chinese Filipino tastes are not used to the strong flavors of Sichuan food. I personally like spicy food and Sichuan peppercorns, which is when I eat here I speak to the staff ahead of time to make it clear that I don't want anything sweet in my food and if they think a dish is too spicy it's probably just right for me. The overall quality of the food is good and I'm perfectly happy with just veggies and tofu here. Great for groups too! Clean environment as well.

Went here with le familia to try a new chinese restaurant in the fort. I heard that its quite good here so i wanna try it.

Went in and the decors are nice and simple it works. It has some classy feel to it.

What we ordered:
Mapo tofu medium spicy - this is good we loke it all. Has a nice kick to it and the tofu is silky smooth.

Uni Fried Rice - this is interesting to hear but feels like an ordinary fries rice with bits of uni. Cant even taste the uni but as a fried rice not bad.

Fresh garoupa with green peppers - this was cooked just right. I like how they added te green peppers plus kiamchay to make it flavorful.

Pechay dish was salty

The pork intestines was also good. Sweet and sour flavors and the intestine is cooked well.

Overall i woul like to give this place another go it has lots of potential. The price is good too cheaper then gloria maris and crystal jade dinning in

We had lunch with our supplier here last week. It was also our first time to try this resto, we just learned about it thru one of our partners.

The look of the resto was very modern oriental. It had an ambiance similar with restos you can see abroad like in hongkong and china.

Since we didn't know what to order, we asked our ordertaker for some suggestions. I don't really know what the specific names were but most of them were good. We didn't see any problem until we saw that they were offering a set menu that is 50% off, which our ordertaker didn't even bother to mention. We felt really bad because the set menu was more fit for us and also there were more dishes in the set menu compared to what we ordered. This was the reason why we were annoyed that he didn't tell us. They also have a promo for metrobank cardholders which again they didn't inform us, we still had to ask them if they have any ongiong promos for credit card holders.

We chanced upon a promo of Modern Sichuan which offers a set meal good for 4. We were 7 all in all so we ordered 2 sets. The set menu comprised of Crabs in Vermicelli, Lapu Lapu in Sweet Sour Sauce, Sauteed Squid Brocolli and Almond Jelly Dessert. We just added 1/2 Peking Duck Served 2 Ways and Salted Fish Fried Rice. The serving was good, a lot to take out. Of course, the duck was our family favorite especially a bit cheap because of the promo. A good place for special occasions. Though the promo is only good Mon-Sat.

At first impression, it was a tall order for them to be located beside Tony Roma's. When we viewed their menu, we immediately noticed very good product photography so their food looked very appealing but their menu was very overwhelming. There was 24 pages worth of menu and that's just for the first book!

Some food we ordered were satisfying but some were just ok. But the winner was the Cheesy Sweet Potato dessert. The sweet potatoes ive eaten were always dry but this one tasted milky and smooth!

The service was satisfactory. The waiter refilled my tea each time my cup was empty or even half empty and when i asked for the wifi password, he even told me to tell him if the net was slow. The food came fast without us having to wait long and just kept coming
