A unique Tex-mex resto serving burritos, tacos, salads, rice bowls, fajitas, etc that you can customize yourself by choosing your own add-ons. Most meals come with free nacho chips and unli salsas, too. Truly a fun way to dine! Loved their chicken rice bowl with a glass of their refreshing tamarind ice tea. 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻

I was excited to try this place out but sadly, it was not as impressing as "expected". Nothing special or extraordinary. We enjoyed the unli salsa, though. Especially the one with Mangoes. Serving size was huge and can be shared.

We weren't able to finish everything and had to bring it home. We were planning to ask for extra salsa but boo because according to the server, you can't ask for extra salsa. Uhm, OKAY. 128563128530

Backlog. 128569

I don't know if I just went on a bad day, but I really didn't enjoy my visit here. 128575 Or maybe because I had high expectations because I have loved every restaurant that opened in Uptown Place. But I really didn't like it here. Silantro pa din, hands down.

Everything we had was far away from the Mexican flavor I was expecting. The quesadilla was bland while the nachos were just salty. The burrito was ok, but nothing extraordinary. Or maybe I should have ordered their tacos? Ewan. Basta di ko nagustuhan. 128575

Plus there was a leak from their a/c so meh. 128575 plus their food is not cheap a.

What I loved from their menu and which is why I am giving 2 stars is heir Tamarind Iced Tea! OMG ansarap! 128571128571128571

I'd probably come back for the Tamarind Iced Tea and for their Php 99 chicken burrito next time... but it'll be a long time for sure. 128569

Hooray for P99 junior chicken burrito because its Tuesday plus P50 for the tamarind iced tea. I've always like eating burrito with the rice, chicken and veggies in one wrap.

After lunch at Munchtown, I headed to Moe's Southwest Grill.

Moe's is located at the fourth floor of Uptown Mall where other Bistro Group restaurants are situated. Seeing Moe's for the first time with other three Bistro Group restaurants on the same floor looks cool. The interior set up of Moe's is bright and spacious, it's like you are eating at the Food Hall. 🌯

At the counter, I order a Junior Size Chicken Burrito for P195.00. Sadly, they don't honor the Bistro Card here. 128532

I choose my five free add-ons for my Chicken Burrito... Pico de Gallo, Queso Sauce, Lettuce, Shredded Cheese and Grilled Mushroom. I've waited for about 5 minutes when my burrito arrived served with nacho chips that you can choose any of the five sauce at the Salsa Area. The sauces are Hard Rock & Roll Sauce (Spicy), Roasted Tomato & Garlic Salsa, Kaiser Salsa, Mango Salsa and Roasted Corn & Blackbean Salsa. My favorite is the Mango Salsa. 🌯

Chicken Burrito served with Nacho Chips - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5

Definitely, I will going back again to try the tacos. 🌮

The 12-inch chicken burrito is good for sharing. Salad bowl was so-so.
What I loved most was the different kinds of salsa that you can taste! Yeba! Unlimited salsa for the win!!! 110881108811088

Moe’s is as most of you already know a new concept brought in By the Bistro group that has over the years brought in successful franchises such as Italiannis, Bulgogi brothers and more. Moe’s is another American franchise that specializes in Tex -Mex food such as tacos, Buritos and salsas. Recently this type of Mexican concept has been very popular among people in Manila. We have seen restaurants like El Chupacabra, Silantro and others open up the last couple of years with some of them being more successful than others. Worth mentioning is that I have never tried out Moe’s before. Actually I have never heard about it until they recently opened up in Uptown Mall in BGC. This despite being a very big and famous chain in The USA.

I am having a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon at around 2 PM. The place is jam-packed with mostly families celebrating Father’s day. I have to line up for quite a while. Actually more than half an hour in order to place my order. However, this does not bother me so much as I have good insight to the kitchen and the prep area so I can see that all the food is freshly made for me just as I order it. There is a lady taking the orders by filling up an order sheet. She gives it back to me and I pass it on to the counter and this sheet is “following” my order all the way to the cashier a few meters further down the line. The food itself that I order is made in about 3 to 4 minutes so I have nothing to complain about there. I quickly pay my order and bring my tray to the table to sit down.

First I try the Nachos with the Special Cheese sauce. Nothing special with this. Here you have deep fried nacho chips served in a paper lined plastic basket with a paper cup of the famous cheese sauce. What makes this sauce famous beats me. It tastes like watered down Cheese whiz from Kraft, without the orange color. Maybe I am expecting more of a chain like Moe’s that according to the write ups in the Inquirer is better than Chipotle, another “American – Mexican” restaurant that is yet to come to The Philippines.

I also have their best seller, the Burrito. This is also not really a disappointment but I guess that I am expecting more. I get about 200 grams of southwest rice, about 100 grams of ground beef, some tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and “Pico de Gallo” or salsa. By the way I also add steak to this as an additional. This is cubes of actual very tasty beef that has been fried on a griddle until perfect pink in the middle. Why they keep it warm in a Gastronorm container in a Bain Marie beats me. Of course when I eat it, the meat is more boiled than fried and the juicy pinkness of the beef is long gone.

There is a counter with different types of salsas and other condiments where the costumers can help themselves. Here the management of Moe’s has a challenge to keep these items fresh. During my visit there is a problem with flies in the dining area and especially where the salsa station is.

I am not really keen on going back to Moe’s in the near future. This is Mexican or better described Tex-Mex fast food and it does not really excite me. I find it a little bit too expensive for being fast food. However I am happy that a company like this is now in The Philippines in order to compete with other Tex –Mex concepts like for example the horrible “Silantro” restaurant.

Been seeing this place lately while I get my coffee in the morning. My curiousity peaked after seeing the 10 peso burrito promo poster for its opening. Unfortunately, I was not able to avail of said promo due to long lines. Not until today...

I got the quesadilla with pulled pork and decided on making it a meal - just by adding 85 php I got a regular tamarind drink and a hefty side of their cheese sauce with lots of chips. Happy kid here!!!!

I was on leave today to meet my friend who's working at one of the companies occupying the office towers of Uptown mall.

I've been craving for Mexican food so I asked my friend if we can try Moe's Southwest Grill. I got curious by its signature create-your-own burritos, and tacos.

I ordered Homewrecker regular for 295php. The staff said this is their bestseller. It is also advertised that they use grass-fed sirloin and rib-eye steak in this one. The staff said if I want beans to be added and I said yes. All the way, is their term.

I was really feeing hungry so I added Nachos with ground beef (245php). I super love their quezo!!! It's really famous for a reason.

I also liked their Tamarind iced tea. Super refreshing. It's like drinking what I used to love at Coco Hut.

P.S. I saw from the advertisement that they have Moe Wednesday promo. Chicken burrito for 95php. Interesting for me!

Moe's Southwest Grill is a popular Mexican resto in the States, recently voted as "Fast Casual Mexican Restaurant of the Year", passing former top restaurant Chipotle Mexican Grill in a Harris Poll in the US. Wow, that's saying something.

Located at the 4/F of Uptown Mall, practically connected to the office towers of the Megaworld property, Moe's is in an open portion of the area which, though airconditioned, makes it prone to the flies notorious of the Uptown Mall area. I don't have food shots coz we ordered it to go to take to Finding Dory.

You have to line up and order it, and they make it in front of you while you're in line, like Project Pie, Subway, Quiznos, Chipotle in the US, etc.; the drawback, however, is that it does take time, and we were in line for a good 15 minutes. Not a great feeling while you're almost at the movie call time. Luckily, we fasttracked things by paying ahead while they were still making the orders. My wife ordered their steak quesadillas (P295), her brother ordered the regular Homewrecker (their signature burrito (P295), MOE’s world famous steak burrito that uses Australian grass-fed sirloin and rib-eye steak), while I ordered the soft ground beef taco (P135).

You get to choose your preferred type of Mexican dish, tacos, burritos, salad, open taco or burrito, quesadillas, nachos, and their own creation (I think), called stacks, which is beans, queso sauce, cilantro, pico de gallo and shredded cheese, stacked in two crunchy corn shells wrapped and grilled in a flour tortilla. I usually ask to remove beans because I don't like them in my burritos. But since the tacos were all I ordered today, then there were no beans.

Moe's is also pretty generous with their salsas, having 4 or 5 kinds of salsa plus guacamole. We were in a hurry, though, so I just asked my wife to get me the the roasted tomato and garlic salsa while she got the mango salsa. There's a bit of heat, but tolerable even for my wife who's not into spicy.

The flour tortilla tacos were good. I liked the salsa I chose; worked well. They also gave me nachos though they're hard crunch, neutral in taste so it does need salsa. They were just all right to me, I mean the nachos. The tacos were a good 4/5.

The place's vibe is casual dining. Good interiors, but the only drawback is the flies. But it's not an issue unique to Moe's. I'm not super into Mexican cuisine, but since I'm liking their cinema as an alternative to Boni Central (and they allow online reservations, too), I guess I'll go try their other dishes, too, as a good cinema snack or quick meal.

We love the place, we love the food. Moe's is now a new family favorite! The only thing we didn't like is the flies (regular residents) of Uptown Mall.

We arrived almost 4pm and were enthusiastically greeted by the Moe's team. This is located at the 4th floor, same area as Texas Roadhouse (another fave) and B-Dubs.

We ordered the ff:

I tried to avail their 10php make your own burrito but it was too late! I came around 8pm and it was already done. I thought it was a whole day promo. 128553 The concept of "make your own burrIto" is you may choose from the kind of meat and other ingredients you want inside your burrito. But there are some with additional amount like the guacamole ( I wish it was free and unlimited). Same as the quesadilla. Every order comes with the plain nacho chips and unlimited salsa. I love their queso sauce just add 65php on every meal. Try this resto if you crave for Tex-Mex. Overall experience is just ok. I spent around 800php for the junior burrito, quesadilla and nachos.

Attempted to avail the 10php promo yesterday of Moe's but sadly they have soldout and there was no promo card left for the Junior burrito.:( To comfort ourselves we still ordered their Nachos. Their ground beef nachos was good and I love the melted queso dressing. The various unli salsa made our order very worth it. I love the mango salsa, a hint of sweet and tangy taste. The roasted black bean and corn salsa was also good. Our favorite was the Garlic salsa. Very strong taste of garlic delicious!

Overall I love the place very lively and colorful. The service was also superb but same prob with Uptown resto is the mosquitos. Hope they can really do something on this pesky pest. 128522128076

Ordered the Homewrecker for 295PHP.

And no, I am not coming back for dry 300 peso rice with steak bits in it.

The service was pretty good though. Too bad the food sucked.

Planning to visit Moe's Southwest Grill, the Mexican food joint that unseated Chipotle as the most popular Mexican restaurant in the US? Well, if you plan to find out how this joint became so popular to the point of defeating the mighty Chipotle, then head over to Uptown Bonifacio. But if you are just planning to avail of its PHP10 burrito, sorry guys. Moe's finally ran out of the sought after promo burrito.

Then again, if you are already there, do approach the friendly guard and ask for a promo card to avail of the free junior burrito for a minimum purchase of PHP750. 128513

Note: Not exactly a review but I just want to let you guys know that the promo has ended. 128546

I went yesterday but we were told that the wait would be about 3 hours. We'd starve by then! But Christina R mentioned that it's about an hour wait when she went. I headed there earlier to try my luck but I saw that the line was still a bit long at 2 p.m. I decided to wait and headed back after 30 minutes. Unfortunately, Moe's already decided to cut the line. 128557 At least I was given this promo card. Thanks, Manong. 🌯

**I'd give it 4 stars for now because of the friendly guard and based on the happy faces of the diners. I will give a more appropriate rating when I get to try the food.**

Grand opening of Moes today and they are practically giving away their junior burritos for free with their 10 peso price tag.

Moes is a fast, casual Mexican restaurant very similar to Chipotle and our local, but now defunct Ristras. The smell of this place is drool worthy, especially if you come in with an empty stomach. It smells exactly like a Mexican restaurant in California.

We were only allowed to order a junior burrito with ground beef or chicken. We were allowed to add our preferred drink and a serving of chips and cheese at a regular price. Unfortunately they did not allow add-ons today. We wanted to add mushrooms on ours. Only 1 burrito per person, so you can't get any to go for your friends. Please do line up yourself and don't ask people to reserve you a spot.

If you eat a lot, the junior size won't be enough for you. With the chips and drink, I was pretty much busog when I left.

Here's what I liked:

128681Free chips & salsa with every order / salsa bar. They had 5 kinds of salsa for you to choose from, where yo can get as much as you want! I loved the mango and the tomato jalapeño.

128681Add-ons. I loved that you have to option to add, for a small fee, fresh grilled mushrooms (not from a can!), tofu and bacon to your burrito.

128681Cheese sauce. It went so well as a dip for the chips. I saw many diners smother it over their burritos too. If you like melted cheese, do yourself a favor and get the 6oz Quezo.

128681Cheap drinks! Tamarind iced tea was only 50 pesos for a big glass.

We'd like to come back for the Sirloin & Rib Eye Homewrecker burrito, the salad on a tortilla bowl and their burrito bowl.

Service was great. They were very organized with managing the line. Someone came by periodically to show the menu and help you decide on what to order ahead of time. They refilled the salsa bowls every time they were empty. A water jug is available for customers. They were also cleaning up after each customer, even mopping the floor with a Swifter. Sosyal!

We psyched ourselves up for the long line. We didn't mind waiting as we couldn't just pass up a burrito for 10 pesos. However the line wasn't that long. It still took awhile to get served, our wait was 45 mins, and it's mostly because each burrito is assembled upon request, and the lunch crowd was still there. We came in at 1:15. Most diners were employees based in the building itself. A lot of them left the line. By 1:30 it was shorter by a quarter. When we left at 3PM the line was half its length than when we arrived. We didn't have a hard time getting a seat either.

Final verdict - I like the place enough to come back. Plus, we like patronizing restaurants that know how to give back to customers. Thanks Bistro Group!!!

Nothing that fancy or mind blowing here. Again, they're a casual, neighborhood restaurant. But I do think that the burrito, chips and tamarind are a perfect combo. And mas masarap ata kain namin because our food was so cheap. We only paid 260 for 2 burritos, 2 drinks and 2 2oz Quezo. Their flavors pale in comparison to El Chupacabra or Taco Vengo. This is kinda like a coulda, woulda, shoulda version of Mexicali.

PS. They periodically flashed a Chicken Burrito Wednesday for 90+ pesos only, coming soon.
