It's the Christmas season and aside from malls, the airport is one of the most busy places because people are going home to their respective provinces. Arriving early at the airport is a must this season and what to do has always been a big question. More coffee shops are there for you to COCOL (coffee coffee lang), some new spa and massage places I've noticed, and of course eat and eat! So happy more and more restaurants are opening already! More choices for food choices, finally! Before, we were stuck with the usual Jollibee, Kenny's, and etc. Now there's like a new area with lots of restos- Max's, Pizza Hut, KFC, China Tang, Lauro's Cafe, Mongkok Bistro, Army Navy, Tapa King, and many many more.
We stumbled upon Mongkok Bistro to have lunch and to kill time before our 4pm flight. Really good interiors- simple yet modern decorations of course with a touch of Chinese in terms of the patterns. I like the vibe in that place.
For the food, we got their Beef and Vegetable Fried Noodles, Shrimp and Broccoli, and Salt & Pepper Squid. All three were pretty good! Fried noodles was a big serving maybe 3-5 can share that dish. We specifically liked the light sauce that came with it. Shrimp and broccoli was also good, many pieces of shrimps and broccoli. One concern here is the freshness of the broccoli. Some parts were already differently colored. I hope they improve on that. The salt and pepper squid i liked also. Big slices of squid perfectly cooked. So good plus the spicy and salty and peppery tastes. Perfect!
Definitely coming back to try more of their dishes.
