The atmosphere was really cool but the burger was dry. The saving grace was the crispy bacon.

Here, we spent the after-dinner with our balikbayan friends.

I got the Jungle Juice (Gin, Watermelon, Cucumber, Lime juice) - I, personally, am not a fan of cocktail mixes. But to describe this, it comes in a mason jar which makes it unique and presentable. It has slices of watermelon inside and some cucumber peels. Well, it tastes like a smoothie but with a kick. I didn't finish my drink, but my friends did, and they enjoyed it.

My other friend ordered The Grape Hooch (Kurant Vodka, Sage, Fresh Grapes, Ginger Ale) - It has a really weird flavor. I can't even describe the after-taste, it's very unusual.

The place is quite intimate and just enough for few groups. Plus, they do not allow smoking inside, that's pretty cool. They have seats outside the bar for smoking. The interior is unique, the walls are creatively designed and the chandelier over our heads is artistically elegant. The lights were dimmed and it was nice to dance around. Their choice of music was very perfect for our ages. And the staff were nice to take unlimited photos of us too. We stayed until 2:30 am when we were the only people left there partying.

The price is reasonable. Well if you wanna hangout, it's cool enough. Will definitely come back here for some booze.128077

Loved this place! Yummy cocktails. My friends and I tried the jungle juice, grape hooch, and moonshine. They're all good. They're obviously made from natural ingredients; the seeds and leaves you'd get from your drinks would prove it. Hehe. :) they're also served in cute mason jars so plus points for that too. :)

The ambiance was nice too. It had the perfect chill+party vibe. It had enough space if you wanna dance and mingle a little. Different chair set-ups are also available so you can take your pick on whether you wanna sit on high stools, settle on the couch, or just stand up and chill. :)

I'd like to spend a few seconds thanking spot.ph for their new bar alerts. If it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't have discovered the incredibly fine watering hole that is Moonshine Bar. Four for you!

Moonshine Bar is a new addition to the Jupiter Street lineup. It's being touted as the next big thing in post-work joints where you can just relax, let your hair down, and forget about your crappy day at the office. Drive by too fast and you'll miss the sign, but it's just right in front of the Buendia Car Exchange, next to Razon's.

Moonshine is really a high-proof homemade distilled whiskey, normally produced illegally. It's called moonshine because sources say it was usually distilled "by the light of the moon." I've never had moonshine, but it seems like a straightforward, unpretentious drink you consume for comfort. And true to its namesake, Moonshine Bar is exactly like that. Simple and comforting.

It's a relatively small place that could probably house 50 people at full capacity. On Fridays, they're packed, so it might be best to call ahead to reserve a table.

This place is lovely and really relaxing. Imagine being surrounded wood, brick, dim lights, appropriate bar music, and spirits. Everything comes together to produce a setting perfect for unwinding your bones and resetting your energy bar after a long day.

For drinks, I had two of their signature cocktails, the Grape Hooch (kurant vodka, grapes, sage, and ginger ale) and the Beer Mojito (Capt. Morgan, lime, lime juice, mint, and light beer). Man, these were so refreshing and yummy. I don't throw that last word around a lot, but for Moonshine Bar, I will. YUMMY. Kulang na lang beach, sunshine, a nice breeze, and a good book. (Haha, hindi a good man, no? 128514) And the drinks are served in mason jars. Everything looks cooler in a mason jar, come on.

But the thing that really won us over was the food. Waiisrt, wipding ssaliicva oiff mfy phjone. After my group called it a night, my friend tweeted, "Hindi pa rin ako maka-get over sa sarap ng food." We ordered Moonshine's Bacon-Dusted Fries, Mini Chorizo Corn Dogs, Truffle Mac 'n Cheese, and a Processed Pizza to share. If you folded the meat-heavy pizza (processed meat, get it?) into a sandwich to be able to eat it better, I wouldn't judge you. The bacon fat mayonnaise was so good Moonshine should sell (mason) jars of of it. I could have eaten three servings of mini chorizo corn dogs by myself. The truffle mac n' cheese was legit and so, so creamy. Comfort food at its tastiest. "I really needed this, you guys. My body needed this," my officemate said. Agreement across the board.

Patting myself on the back for recommending this place (kahit nawala kami looking for it, naka-heels pa ako128517). Just like that, Moonshine Bar became one of my favorite places in Makati. Another great "wanderlost" experience. 127772127866127771

Following the foot steps of Locale gastropub and Tipsy Pig comes Moonshine, what separates from the usual bar is that the food is prepared to perfection and sets the bar even higher. Drinks were personally made / recipe of the owner.

My personal favorite is the baked Salmon, it tastes like Conti's, only better. More to that, it does not tastes commercialized and uses less butter. Another thing that liked is its cozy and timeless ambiance. Prices are reasonable and budget friendly maybe because it is still on dry run.

Try it for yourself, experience something different and better from the ordinary.
