Came back the following week since my mom liked their tempura so much she insisted we eat here the following week after our first visit. We ordered almost all the same food except for this seafood okonomiyaki which is the best one I've tried.

Been several times to Japan and ordered okonomiyaki but this one from Morita is still the best! It is thick, gooey and amazingly generous filling of bacon and fresh crunchy squid is just superb!!! 128561 just typing those out made me want one again! The sweet sauce made this dish even delectable and God knows what's more inside it but my taste buds detected bacon and squid and I'm already raving about it! 128525128540

Found a hidden gem just behind Fisher mall since my brother lives nearby we frequent this mall and happy to find this authentic Japanese resto here in looloo.

Their spicy tuna sashimi is TDF! My favorite is from Kikufuji, but this also legit. Tuna is just so fresh and soft, it feels like it is melting in your mouth. Another thing is their ebi tempura. Napawow ako sa sarap. The breading is just different from others, parang breading pa lang ulam na. Not to mention prawn is big and fresh. Tried the dynamite roll, tantanmen, beef teppanyaki and chicken teppenyaki and everything is just delicious.

My brother told me that this place is owned by a fisherman, no wonder they have really fresh sashimi, and during this visit they are campaigning a party list that is promoting fishermen I forgot the name. And I heard rich QC people is maintaining this place since this is actually a ballroom ng matrona place at night. 128513128513128513

Tried their Tai Usuzukuri (thinly sliced maya maya with Ponzu sauce) it was delicious but super thin talaga ang slice 128514 @380+ I felt it was super expensive 128531 the Chirashi was typical and the Agedashi Tofu lacked flavor 128533

Service was slow and some of the servers were not familiar with the menu...128529

The servings are small yet the prices are five star rate without the presentation just like when we ordered the soft shell crab (1 small piece) worth 500+, also the grilled salmon with miso sauce (all sauce and 1 small part of salmon) at 500+. The foods are not exceptional which will make you want to come back again. I guessed the prices are high because of the bands but then we were already done eating when the band started to set up their instruments around 9 pm.

Maybe i was expecting too much but whatever the case, i think the only different thing about this place is that they have a band playing at around 9 pm but the interiors, the ambience, the food and the service not exceptional in fact its so plain I may easily forget about this place. Not to mention the price and food quality and quantity is a bit disproportionate.

However i noticed all tables were reserved so maybe its just me.

It's my first time to check out Fisher Mall along Quezon Ave. I'm surprised on how good and fancy it looks. My friend is obssessed about Japanese food so she recommended to try out Morita. This is slightly off topic but I kinda noticed that 99% of women that I know has had a phase for Japanese food, especially Sushi and Ramen. I don't know any girl that doesn't like Japanese (I'm bracing myself for female comments that don't like Japanese food) LOL So anyway, Morita feels like a generic Japanese joint. The serving presentation and even the plates feel uninspired. The sushi and sashimi was alright. It tasted fresh and clean enough. Pricing is reasonable. It just feels forgettable for me. Nothing special.

Was craving sashimi specifically hamachi after watching a movie at fisher mall so we headed down to Morita again...

* Matsu Sashimi Moriawase @895 -- which is a mix of Hamachi, Salmon, Tuna, Uni, Mackarel and Shrimp -- everything was pretty fresh but 3 pcs each lang and one shrimp 128546 was pretty much bitin sa hamachi still so we decided to get additional order of ...

* Hamachi @540 (5 pcs) 128525 craving solved!

* Dobin Mushi @150 -- Shitake mushroom and seafood clear soup that came in a cute clay pot.. good for two 128077128077

* Yasai Kani Salad @210 -- fresh veggies and Crabsticks with Japanese vinaigrette dressing..

Pretty satisfied with what we ordered but service wasn't that good though... the bill took forever to come and I could see the cashier chatting with the servers and giggling like a schoolgirl ... grrrr.. had to follow up twice and it wasn't like the restaurant was packed! mga 5 tables lang occupied and we were the only table asking to bill out... 128563 Duh

We had dinner here to celebrate my aunt's birthday. QC isn't my usual playground, so this was really new to me.

We ordered several things: Uni Sashimi, Creamy Spicy Tuna, Gyoza, Chicken Karaage, Kani Pomelo Salad, Morita Celebration Noodles, Ebi Tempura, and the Crazy Maki. Of these selections, we most enjoyed the sushi and sashimi, as they were really fresh, followed by the salty-sweet glazed, fried chicken. All the rest were so-so, and actually quite pricey for the serving size. Also of note was that their presentation was not so great, and their plates are not too visually appealing.

This place also has live bands that play every weeknight, so if you enjoy live music, you can drop by at 9pm for a show.

Overall, maybe not the best place for Japanese food; but if you do go and visit give the sashimi a try.

I always see this along Q.ave. when we pass by Fisher Mall and I'm glad that I finally get to try this place. The place looks good from the outside so I'm curious to see what this Japanese restaurant got to offer.

My rating for this place is 3.5 stars. I enjoyed my dining experience. Place has a nice ambiance (modern design with nice lighting) and good service but the food wasn't impressive enough for me to round it up to 4 stars.

Price is reasonable for fresh sushi and sashimi. 128076Other food tasted okay too. For me, It was just quite forgettable. I wouldn't purposely go here to order something because I'm craving for it.

Nothing really spectacular like Kikufuji or Kimpura but this place will do if you want to satisfy your Japanese food cravings. 128111

The sashimi was really fresh! But it's very pricey. Funny thing about the spicy tuna was the fact that they used lady's choice mayo instead if the japanese mayo! Lol!

Saw Japanese chefs coming in and out of the kitchen. So i guess u can say it's authentic!

The only notable dishes were the sushi. Other than that it's a normal pricey japanese resto.

I sort of got the impression that it was a poor imitation of Kimpura. The food was pretty good but nothing really stood out. Although, The sushi tasted fresh and it's something I recommend.

I ordered their special japanese-style fried chicken with fried rice. The chicken was way too oily but had a spicy, tangy taste to it which I personally liked (but feel like I could whip up better in my kitchen haha). The fried rice tasted like....fried rice. Nothing great.

The price was affordable ranging from P150-P400. The servers were very pleasant and friendly, constantly refilling our tea cups. All in all, I would probably head back to give Morita another chance and order something else.
