Nice reasonably priced hotel. It does cater to families but it also does attract young, party crowd. There are a lot of koreans staying here.

If you want a fun, family vibe, this is the resort for you. However, if you prefer a more serene resort, better opt for shangri-la. More pricey but you can get the serenity you need.

Great place overall, the buffet breakfast needs to improve though.

Tip: request for beach view. If you are nice and they are low in occupancy, they might upgrade you for free

Went on a short vacation to Cebu with my mom and for our last night we stayed at Mövenpick. I personally chose this hotel because I've been seeing a lot of good reviews and nice photos of the place. The resort is very accessible to and from the the airport. It's only about 15 minutes away.

This hotel is all about comfort and convenience. Complete amenities (swimming pools, spa, fitness center, beach club, game room etc), rooms are clean and spacious, hotel staff are accommodating, and the food is just exquisite! Upon checking in we were already greeted warmly and they even gave us a full ocean view room upgrade FOR FREE! (room view as seen in the photo). A deluxe room for 2 pax is at Php 8k+ per night, comes with free breakfast (huge selection for the breakfast buffet 128077🏼). You won't have much choice to dine here the rest of the day since the establishments outside the resort ranges from few to none. I didn't see any restaurants on the way. Food is generally expensive 450-650 per head so make sure to include it in your budget.

Overall stay, I say worth every penny. 128077🏼

Was at Moevenpick Monday (you've got to add the e after the o if you cannot type in the o with the two dots on top! This, according to a Dutch friend who was with us) ... I was there for a board meeting of a client. So I was dressed for the meeting but wishing to strip down and jump into the ocean! The photo shown is the view from the balcony outside our meeting area.

The place is beautiful! So much better than when it was the Hilton (with the gaudy pink/mauve color...eeee). Everything looks relaxing, exactly how a resort should be. Makes you feel like you're really away for a break...! :)

Food was okay. SAILS had buffet lunch and I liked the mussels and mango salad as well as the lamb stew. However I was not in a gastronomic mood. Service was good. Fresh juices were great. Desserts were good as well... We tried the ice cream and sorbets after the meeting right outside the patio (outdoor bar) and the lime sorbet was refreshing.

Service to the meeting was good. They had this coffee machine which was interesting -- a novelty -- but disrupted the meeting each time someone wanted a cup of coffee. The selection of teas was good (Twinings always rocks! Red fruits is my fave).

The bathrooms were a bit of an alien experience with no doors going into it. The only doors were the ones for the toilet stalls marked male/female. The loo was painted green and blue and had common wash areas... From the ceiling down into a basin, it looked like a solid hourglass-shaped contraption. A break in the middle of the hourglass-looking thing was a basin where the water dropped out. Maybe I should've taken a picture of that instead. LOL.

Overall good experience. Will go back here to unwind this summer...!

Everything about this hotel is for guests convenience, the layout of the lobby, easy access gym. The juxtaposition of the coffee shop to the open recreation room. A staircase that leads to the beach. I'm obsessed with the architecture of Moven, the interior of our room was not so great though. I wish it was a bit more cozy. But it's clean and functional!

Food-wise, I honestly think it was just okay (not exceptional) although we only had breakfast.
Service is excellent.
View is incredible.

Movenpick is perfect for couples like myself and my boyfriend, who enjoy relaxed, romantic-issh 128513 weekend getaways. Right Jefferson L?

I can't stress enough how much I love staycations. I love staying at hotels. It is just the perfect getaway for stay at home working moms like me. You can relax and not worry if your room looks like a mess because someone will clean it for you. No need to cook for your family because a sumptuous buffet is waiting for you at the dining area.

I've been to almost all amazing hotels here in Cebu. I chose to make a review of Movenpick first because we just recently went there with my family.

It's the perfect quick escape from the hustle & bustle of Cebu Traffic. It's one of my favorite. I've been here 3x already.

Upon arrival, they gave us welcome drinks. They were also giving crinkles on the lobby that time for free. Staff were very attentive.

I got an upgrade to a suite which was nice. I fell in love with their bathroom. It was huge! Our room had a spectacular view. Facilities and amenities were clean. My toddler loved the jacuzzi and the pool was amazing!

What I love most about the hotel is their private cabanas. I swear, it's perfect for wedding proposals. It's so romantic! A bit pricey but I think it will be worth every penny. ;)

Overall, it was a great experience! No complaints. ;)

Had a photoshoot for a bag collection here with my friend, it's a nice hotel, relaxing and accommodating, Nothing much to look around as you only basically have the pool and the short distance from the vegetation to the beach shore, everything else is just nearby. The Ibiza bar and restaurant have live bands at night; it's a fine place to drink beer and not talk to anyone. (te he he)

I actually won a GC so I had the chance to indulge myself in one of the well-known resorts here in Cebu. The place is not really huge but the rooms are spacious enough to accommodate us. It has two TV sets, one in the sala and the other one placed inside the room so it was a good indication that me and love can watch any of our preferred shows though separated by a couple of distance. During our stay there were lots of tourists, mostly Koreans so we felt like we were the foreigners that time. The food though is not really that impressive but they've got plenty of choices to choose from, may be that time when we ordered, we haven't chosen the one that would fit our tastebuds. They have lots of amenities to enjoy but we just decided to take a quick dip at the beachfront and at the pool. Though the sand is not really that fine and powdery, rest assured it's picturesque. I enjoyed more in their jetted bathtub, it felt like having a free back massage. I played with bubbles too non-stop so it was really memorable for me. At night, they have shows at Ibiza where you can just chill, watch and enjoy and have some cold liquor to drink. 128516 #loolooexplorerpackgiveaway

Our CebAdventure never stops. After choosing from various hotels in mactan island and also considering our budget, finally concluded to stay at movenpick. We rode taxi going to movenpick because it's quite far from our hotel (P80-P90 taxi fare). P2000/person for the day pass which includes access to the pool and beach, lunch buffet and a free scoop of movenpick ice cream. I'm not that amazed with the beach so rather stay at the pool instead. The ibiza beach club looks cool. I even took a photo with the famous white weaved with biggie pillows hanging over the water 128514128514128514. Food is okay, not that thing that you look forward to, but the ice cream is the best 128077

Place is posh, very modern in terms of interior. Shoreline is, however, small. A nice place really for a staycation. Quite pricey though.

My most relaxing trip ever! I just thought I needed a short break and booked a flight to Cebu. Inquired Movenpick if they have a promo and got this good deal of 10k per night including buffet breakfast and Ibiza unli grilled meat dinner plus a complimentary bottle of wine and late checkout til 4pm.

The place is just so relaxing. It felt like I'm the foreigner in my own country since 95% of the visitors are Koreans. Stayed almost the whole day just reading book and going in and out of the beach every time I felt like I'm burning already.

Brought the wine down the beach and ordered pizza and fish and chips and just stayed there to relax. No itinerary for this 3d2n trip and goal is just to relax and unwind.

Buffet breakfast is so worth it. Long live bacons. Unli croissant and everything I wanted for bfast is just there. I almost suffocate myself out of gluttony. The Ibiza dinner is also amazing. Unli lobster and prime steaks I thought I'm going to explode and can't remember the last time I ate that much.

Will I come back? Yes! Did I enjoy? Yes! Is't worth it? Yes! Can't wait for my next visit to this place.

Small rooms, pricey food but excellent customer service. What they lack in space, they make up in serving their guests. The whole resort is pleasant to the eyes, I must say. The lobby's design is so chic and fresh. I like their glow in the dark chairs in the pool too.

I honestly had high expectations of this resort as it's right next to Shang so I'd they'd compete in terms of service... But yeah, they're leaps away from Shang. 128514

Stayed here with my family for my birthday and it was just an ok experience. We ended up going out a lot for meals and stuff. Not a good sign when you're staying in a hotel.

Facilities were just fine too. Our room had mirrors that were starting to get moldy already. Quite gross actually. And the pool was just damn overcrowded when we came. When i went for the beach, it took me quite some time to find fishes. It's weird cause this resort shares the same shore as Shang and they claim to be a sanctuary as well, but i beg to disagree. In a sanctuary, you can already see fishes even when you have no goggles on. 128528

All in all, it was just ok. On the pricey side, i tell you that.

wee!! it's no Shang Mactan but still a chill place perfect for mini-moons or a quick escape from the city! emphasis on "mini" as their beach front is quite small.

you can avail of their day pass which only costs PHP2,000 per head (weekday rate). it already includes a lunch buffet, yummy Movenpick premium ice cream (get the caramelita), and use of the beach and pool amenities 'til 6pm.

overall look of the place is modern and hip. very picturesque especially the Ibiza Beach Club area. staff is very welcoming and there's free wifi too.

we definitely enjoyed our stay here. it's a mini paradise in Cebu 128077

I've been to several resorts in Cebu and Movenpick would have to be on my top 3.

They have their own pool, bar and restaurant. Their breakfast buffet is decent, plus they have bacon!

What's nice is that they also have beach access so you don't have to travel far if your planning to do a little sun bathing or build your own sand castle.

The design of the place is modern, the bar area is surrounded with weaved beds hanging over the water, which is perfect for chilling and photo-op.

It's quite far from the main city, I'm not sure if the hotel has shuttle service, but it's about 30 minutes away from where you can shop for souvenirs and buy or eat Cebu's famous lechon belly.

After Holy week, me and my travel buddy decided to go on a 5-day vacation in Cebu and Bohol! We were torn between a lot of good hotel/resort in Mactan Island and Mövenpick captured our hearts because of its great beach view and IBIZA beach club. The staff pampered us like princess' and everything was just perfect! Love their gaming area because of their xbox.

A luxurious feeling entered my veins when I entered the place. I was expecting a bigger resort honestly, but who needs a big one if this can already be satisfying?! Their service was great though I am not amazed on their shower/restroom area. They have a nice swimming pool and beach area everyone would surely love. The place was clean and the food was great! Will definitely come back to relax and have a good time! 128526

Their bar, Ibiza Beach Club, was a great place to be at during the afternoon. They had a buy one take one promo on their wines and cocktails during happy hour and had all white fixtures and furniture. They also has nets you could lie down on while drinking and watching the sunset. So nice we went two nights in a row!
