Seats were a little uncomfortable, they have really small tables.

I highly recommend the baked rice, especially the roasted duck and seafood baked rice.

Before I underwent my tooth surgery last last week at PGH, I decided to finally have my last feast before I go on cold diet here in Mr. Choi Kitchen. Chinese food feast with Mama and Tatay!

I had the chance to order so I took the liberty in ordering everything I want. Luckily, every dish was a satisfier.

The Beef Brisket and Wanton Noodle Soup was salty enough. Beef was tender and delicious.

Taosi Spareribs, Chicken Feet and Beef Siomai did not disappoint. Beef siomai were topped with caviar though it did nothing to the taste. Hehe. Easy to eat and their meat slide off the bones easily.

However the Baked Seafood in White Sauce & Rice was the bomb! The plate was good for 4-5pax but we finished the whole plate entirely because it was super delicious! Loved the white sauce and the generous amount of seafood.

The servings were big and prices were worth the amount and flavor of the food. Good choice.

I wanted some Chinese food so after work, I headed to this place in the mall nearest to my house.

This restaurant has actually been around for a while in this mall but I haven't had the chance to try it out ever. The signs of its age was evident as I entered since everything looked old and worn. The couches were lumpy, tables were sticky and smelled funny, plates and glasses were chipped in certain places, etc. Buuut I still wanted to eat so I asked for their menu.

They offer all the stuff you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant including dimsum, congee, fried rice, noodles, etc. They actually have a lot of offerings with prices ranging from 100 to 200/300+ pesos.

⚫️ I had the Dimsum Combination (320 php) which came with hakaw, fried lumpia, shrimp and pork siomai, etc. Everything tasted pretty meh. Nothing special.

⚫️ Hot Prawn Salad (385 php). This is one of my favorite Chinese dishes. There's just something about shrimp + fruit salad that works haha. Mr. Choi's version can be shared by about 3-4 people. I liked their take on it, but I've definitely had better.

⚫️ 1/2 Yang Chow Rice (150 php). This can be shared by 2 people. Again, ordinary.

Overall, nothing that really blew me away but this place managed to satisfy those Chinese food cravings. I was full and had to take-out all my leftovers for later. 128517

Robinsons Pioneer is like my second home. Ive tried most places already in the Forum, however, this is my first time to try Mr. Choi Kitchen. I always thought it was too pricey and it just didn't appeal to the kids - probably coz of the dim ambience, which the hubby an i loved - not just because it seemed romantic 128525 but our katakawan will not be noticed much! Lol!

So just me and the hubby last night. He loves chinese food. What we got:
1. Roasted Combination Plate - it had duck, soy chicken, pork asado, century egg (i love century egg), and jellyfish - yeah, i asked again, jellyfish!
2. Yang chow fried rice - one of the best!
3. Hakaw dumplings - it was ok, probably coz i was kinda full already when it arrived.

Our choices were perrrfect! We enjoyed it. It was delicious and plenty! Total cost P775 plus tip. Ambience, i liked! So oriental. Chinese lanterns, chinese writings on the wall, hanged pecking duck on the glass window, chinese chefs (they looked chinese), and a lot of chinese were its customers. Thats a good sign of good chinese food! This is going to be one of our favorite places for chinese food from now on! :)

Staff were professional but in a hurry. Thats ok, food came in quick. We got our drinks at the garden fresh calamansi juice. Just a small stall in the mall. They didnt mind. 128513

The traffic is unreasonable that day and decided to stay for a while and ordered Beef Wanton Noodle and Hakaw (not in the pic)

A chinese fastfood for the general public, it serve all the classic chinese menu. But I didn't like, the taste is bland for me.

Service is too slow that need to follow up my order and my change 128532

Second time I ate here and it's every bit as good as I remember. 128523

We ordered one yang chow rice. At first I thought it would be bitin since there are five of us. But I also ordered the crispy noodles with seafood. The serving for the noodles was big so it was really for sharing. My dad said that we didn't have to order another serving of rice since the noodles was already heavy.

The fried spare ribs and squid with salt and pepper were delicious! And we got a free steamed fish fillet since we used our BDO mastercard and we reached 1k. And I really love their mango shake. It was simply delicious.

All in all, this is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is divine and the price is just right. I spent only 1250 for a sumptuous meal for five people. What more can I ask? 128522128522128522
