While I'm not much a fan of Korean food (I like Japanese food better -- well, there should be a poll about this), there are some things that I like about it such as the spicy kimchi, mandu and of course their desserts and sweet treats like bingsu and injeolmi.

Of course, I'm not so knowledgeable about Korean cuisine so I guess that will be my food trip plan these days in order to learn more about it (and get myself accustomed more to its flavors). But before I'd go to expensive samgyeopsal places, I will start first from Korean cuisine that's affordable. Aside from Bon Chon, that is. (I dunno if that's even legit Korean cuisine 128513)

Good thing there was Mr. Kimbob at SM City Taytay's food court. The first thing I noticed was the long lines, so I thought the food must be good. Most of them ordered the "Bibimbob" so I decided to order it too.

The "Bibimbob" was Mr. Kimbob's version of the bibimbap. What I liked first about this dish was the pretty presentation. It was so colorful and the sunny side-up egg was placed on the center and on top of the cooked rice. It was served on a hot stone plate mounted on a wooden board so handle it with caution. I had the Bibimbob beef (the other one is chicken).

I was also given a small tube of Mr. Kimbob's special sauce for their Bibimbob, called "Seoul spice." At first, I thought it was an ordinary chilli paste. But when I got to taste it, it was a combination of spicy, sweet, sour, pungent and other flavors that I couldn't explain but still I liked it. 128077

Their Bibimbob was good and another thing I liked about this dish is the amount of vegetables thrown in. The ground beef and the fried egg provided the protein but most of this dish consisted of vegetables. Healthy! 128077128077128077

The fun part was mixing all the components together and adding them with the Seoul spice paste.

With or without the paste, the Bibimbob would still be good. There was also the spicy kimchi included in this dish that made it already flavorful.

Although I found the tube of the spicy paste as cute, I guess I would have preferred it being served in a small plate. I thought the concept was not environmentally friendly so more tubes used (and disposed of) would mean more trash.

I guess I was thinking too much... 128513 but otherwise I liked my Bibimbob. It was a meal in itself and with its price (₱109), it was sulit. 128077 #sogbu

Not really a fan of Korean food nor that knowledgeable about it but hubby felt like trying out Mr. Kimbob at the food court.

On the table
🔹Beef Bibimbob Meal
🔹Bulgogi Japchae Dubbob
🔹Kimbob

Everything was bland except for the Kimbob which had beef and Kimchi. I went back to the counter to ask for soy sauce. The only type of sauce they had was that red spicy one which made everything so much better. I wish they had informed us to put some on our food before leaving the counter. They did not have any sauce dishes either so I had to bring the only sauce container to our table then I had to return it right away.

I guess that's going to be our first and last Mr. Kimbob experience.

The ramen was just an instant korean spicy noodle soup (the black and red packaging) just added with egg and vegies to make it look different. I saw it when it was being prepared. it was way worst than i expected i could have just bought it in a grocery store and cook it at home. :((

A healthy dinner to cap off the night. 128523

Shared my plate with my mom; I gave the carrots, sayote and mostly all the veggies. 128514

I had the regular chicken bibimbob. I love the kimchi that goes with my dish. 128523128523128523

Not even met the standard of food. served food was so dry. My mom ordered 99 pesos worth of food that I don't think if seafood exist because the rice only swam literally on the spicy sauce. Just 3 to4 slices of squid? Also, i saw that their ramen was just an instant noodles that can be bought in the intl section of supermarket.128554

At only P119 for the large serving of Bibimbob, Mr. Kimbob is definitely a hunger buster. Their service needs a bit more attention but it was fast enough anyway. It also helps that they are inside SM Foodcourt because then you can have other food stuffs as sides.

Hooray for Mr Kimbob in Sm Taytay! 9996

The first time I tried this korean dish, I thought I was not going to like it! But hell no, it was really good! 128525

So I'm persuading my folks to eat here too, but my mom said it looks like (kaning baboy) because you have to mix everything on your plate! 128514 I told my mom you don't have to do what they say, you can eat it as it is.

They still didn't buy it, but I did. So I let them have a taste, and guess what, my mom loves it! 128077 Number 1, because it has veggies and lots of veggies and two, she likes it because I'm eating healthy food. Haha

Kudos to this Korean dish; I'm eating veggie. 128529128529128529
