You better get a headstart early in the morning, like 2am, so you can reach Silanguin Cove by noontime. Otherwise, you'll get toasted by the afternoon sun.

There weren't as many trees as your usual mountains up north. This one is almost bare. You have to bring lots of trail water as there is only minimal water source but the water source is not available all the time.

You'll be rewarded with a good view of Subic Bay and Silanguin Cove.

To inspire you on your descent, Silanguin Cove offers a peaceful retreat. Not as crowded as the other coves - Anawangin and Nagsasa. The locals are friendly, too.
