"No one ever said it would be this hard.~"

I was singing The Scientist by the time we were halfway through the trek. They said it would be just like a walk in the park so I wore running shoes, a dri-fit shirt and shorts and packed a backpack full of chocolates, extra clothes and a camera. FYI: This was my first climb. (January 17, 2016)

We met up around 5:30am at LRT Buendia. Got on a bus to Sta. Cruz (Fare: P120) then got off at the Duck Junction. Then we rode a tricycle (Fare: P50) to Brgy. Lamot and asked the kuya where the way up is. We (Actually, THEY) decided not to get a guide anymore because madali lang naman daw. DAW.

PS: Please get a guide so that the locals can earn something and also don't forget to register at the Brgy. Hall! (Huwag kami tularan)

The first part of the trail was fairly easy. Walk in the park levels pa. Around 30 minutes into the trek, you could see the nearby mountains like Mt. Maculot, etc.

After more or less an hour, I was sweating like hell and my knees were feeling weak. My backpack was heavy, I had no more Gatorade. It was a lot harder than I expected. There were lots of assaults on the second half of the trail so I was really slowing the group down. (Sorry guys! 9996)

The savior of the day was the kuya selling ice-cold Mountain Dew just before the assault to the summit! (Mabuhay ka kuya! 128588) I stopped drinking softdrinks more than a year ago but I just had to buy one. We stayed for a few minutes to talk to kuya and play with the dog.

The last part was probably the hardest. It was just grass and no trees. It was hot and I was really tired so I was really slow. But after 2.5 hours, tadaaa!

Summit, baby!! (Please see photo)

Kinda disappointed 'cause the cross was not there anymore. But I still enjoyed the view and the fresh air! Stayed in the summit for about 2 hours to have lunch and take photos then headed down 'cause we went to Bunga Falls after. 9996
