Our family had lunch here last November 30, and we were very fortunate to have met the owner of Munch Grill, Ms. Ana.
Munch Grill's kiosk is quite unassuming, similar to the look of an ihaw-ihaw kiosk. Unlike most higher-end grilled meat places, this one uses charcoal for grilling, which I prefer over electric ones -- as it enhances the flavor of the meat better.
Their menu is limited to around 10 grilled meat dishes, and here's what we got for lunch:
✔ FOR MAMA: GRILLED PORKCHOP (Php 130) -
This was a safe choice, since my mom is quite particular with her grilled meat. The porkchop was juicy, and the serving size was big. The dipping sauce was good, too!
✔ FOR ME: GRILLED WAGYU CUBES (Php 199) -
For Php 199, you already get two sticks of wagyu cubes with 4 pieces each. Each piece was super soft, as was expected from wagyu beef. I loved it! The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 rating is because it was quite salty. My sister is not a big fan though, as she finds it to be too soft.
✔ FOR ACHI: GRILLED LAMB CHOPS (Php 250) -
My sister has recently taken a liking to eating lamb, so it wasn't a surprise when she chose this. I tried this as well, and I was not a big fan of it. To me, it had a "gamey" smell and taste that's a bit off for me -- but I guess lambchops normally taste and smell like that.
Overall, food was good and everything was grilled properly, except that the food that day were quite salty. It was only later on that we learned that the cook that day was newly hired, thus, might not be that familiar yet with the quantity of salt needed for each dish.
Watch out for their upcoming new menu offerings soon! (Hint: These new items will featured more premium cuts of beef! )
