Been working in the vicinity and just found out about Murphy's Quiz Night Tuesdays! It's mindblowing and fun at the same time. A place where you enjoy food and enhance your brain cells after a stressful day at work. This is a must try!

Tip: be prepared as the questions are out of this world.. 128540

Pretty cool place that reminds me of How I Met Your Mother. I don't drink though. Shame. 128541

I ordered their (dry) salmon that comes with (dry) mashed potato.

I ordered their bangers and mash. Apparently, the Irish call their sausages bangers. Atleast that was what I was told. The waitress who explained it didn't know why they called it that.

My order came with some baked beans. The sausage and the beans were good. The mashed potato lacked flavor. The serving size was good.

The place is a bit pricey (around 500+ per head) but since they place was rather comfy and because you could watch your favorite sports on their TV, I think I could come back again.

Quite confused at first on the food specialty of Murphy's (it should be Irish in nature but menus were burgers, pizzas and pastas to name a few). But overall, I enjoyed dinning there.

Loved Pesto Chicken pasta and the Meat Lover pizza.

Quick and accurate service.

If you and your officemates wanted to chill after work, Murphy's has a "Quiz Night" event. They really do give prices to those who are in the top 3 high scorers.

Went out to catch the last full show at Greenbelt with the hubs and on our way home, we suddenly wanted a couple of beers before heading home. Ambiance just ok, great for the boys- not for the ladies.

They should take the "deluxe nachos" off the menu. They were terrible. Cheap canned cheese, cheap salty ground beef, watery sour cream, and a smear of dry refried beans, over low quality nachos. I hadn't eaten since the day before and was very hungry, but afterwards (and actually during) I regretted eating as much of them as I did.

And the menu prices listed here are outdated. Things appear to be much more expensive now. The nachos were around 400, not 175. The other items also appear to be too low from what I remember.

Skinny Mikes has an even more expensive deluxe nachos, which I am happy to pay for because they are excellent. But these were a ripoff.

Ambiance is great! Music is Just a little off the theme.
It has smoking and non smoking (air-conditioned) area. A place to chill, sit down, and drink some beers for the night. Either alone or with friends.

Price range:

Apple San Miguel Premium beer : P95
Draft Beer (Mug) : P140
Fries with cheese sauce: P175

This is quickly becoming my favorite pub. Working from Makati CBD the temptation to make it the second office is rather high as well.

But favorite pub because it is a quiet, and nicely buzzing, location. Their food isn't too awesome (stay away from the pies, better get a frozen one from Marks & Spencer to eat at home). Their baked potatoes are rather nice though.

And then there's logistics. Or lack thereof.

Too often they run out of draft beer, or starry cleaning the pipes even before closing time.

But a nice watering hole it is.

'Irish Pub' where you could also dine with a cozy ambiance at some corner in Makati CBD. If you're sneaking out of the office to watch a live sports game, you could consider Murphy's!

i think this is the only irish pub in makati, if i'm not mistaken. it's a cozy place to hang out, eat nommy pies and drink beer-- very much like a typical british pub.

i ordered their pie of the day, which i think was beef and mushroom pie, and it came with fries and vegetables. IT. WAS. GOOD. and very filling too.

the prices are a bit high, but for that ambiance, i'd still go there.

Being one of the oldest neighborhood pubs in the area, Murphy's is a cozy place to hang out and while away time. Food and drinks are a bit expensive though.

Must try: 128076 Tuesday Quiz Night (warning: they mean serious business. You may not be the nerd you think you are)

Malibu Rum is one of my favorite drinks and this place serves the best version of it in my opinion 128522 will definitely go back to try their food plus they seem to be the only establishment serving Malongo coffee! oh, extra star for having an acoustic singer performing 90s alternative songs during Friday nights 127908

The Irish Stew is amazing! When I get the chance to come back, I'll definitely order it again. Last time I was here, they had a good selection of beers. Hope they still do.

Chill hangout place. They used to have more beer selections too. Try bangers and mash and a can of Guinness (although it would be awesome if they served it from a tap or something) -- ALSO, visit on St. Patrick's Day for the festivities and fun with leprechauns :p
