2nd time to try this place and this time, yung legit na mushroom patty na ang nalasahan ko. Nung unang try ko kasi dito (mga 4 years ago) medyo kaduda duda yung patty. Sa totoo lang, medyo matabang yung mushroom sandwich so I suggest that you add salt and pepper.

And oh by the way, do not order the mushroom fries. It's too greasy and di crunchy and bland pa. If you want to try it because yolo, go, pero wag yung tipong pang maramihan. Stick to french fries.

Yun lang phoezz.

Have been Mushroom Burger a few times already but this time I dined alone, for the first time. I couldn't remember if they had rice meals before but I'm glad they have now.

I liked the Hong Kong Burger Steak meal. For only P125, you have two patties, stir-fry vegetables (with mushrooms, of course), one hard boiled egg, rice and a nice amount of gravy, plus a soft drink. But instead of a soft drink, I ordered coffee instead. I like their coffee, quite strong.

Mushroom Burger also sells pasalubongs. I bought two packs of coffee (a dozen bags each) for only P80, as well as five packs of barquillos (P22 each).

At the corner of the store you can see a glass case containing the mushrooms grown inside.

Great to see they have also expanded their dining space. 128077128079

Before me and my friend left tagaytay, we had something to eat before our bus ride. Our friend recommended mushroomburger. I must say the ambience feels like your typical local diner which i admire #supportlocal 128517

It was my first time here. So i ordered their burger. I bought the "King" with the upgrade of mushroom fries and drink because i was very hungry 128557 and i must say you can really taste the mushroom 128517

One interesting fact. I saw a "mushroom culture" in a shelf and from what my friend from tagaytay said, they cook those. So, it must be fresh everytime 128513 (check 2nd photo) which made me like the restaurant more! 128077

This is my favorite burger even as a child. Mushroom burger is healthier than beef of course but still it is very oily. Been eating mushroom burger for like forever but this time I was quite disappointed because I think there's too much butter used for cooking the burger. But I will still love mushroom burger because its a childhood fave!! 10084

Move over Le Petit Soufflé because Mushroomburger has their own mushroom fries and it is just as amazing!

Our bill was less than 400 pesos. Here's what we ordered:

127812Royal Mushroom burger with 127775Mushroom fries127775 + drink. 159. Burger patty, cheese, egg & mushroom omelet

127812Tapa Hong Kong Rice + drink. 121. Tapa with mushroom gravy, adobo egg.

127812Tawilis & rice (not sure about the price). 4 pieces crispy tawilis over rice.

This iconic place first created these burgers in 1980. If you were a Makati kid in the 80's you probably visited their outdoor kiosk in the old Greenbelt, where the steel parking lot by Italiani's is now. The Tagaytay branch was like a field trip each visit because you could see their mushroom greenhouse on the side. We visited these two branches many times as a kid.

We recently came in here for breakfast on an impromptu overnight trip to Tagaytay. Sometimes you forget about places like this because of so many other newer and fancier restaurants in the area. Scanning through the places open at 8am we decided it was time for a re-visit. Last time we passed by here was 7 years ago because my pregnant friend wouldn't let us go home to Manila without getting the burgers. We just took our food to go and unfortunately I left my order in their car and never got to eat it. So I can safely say I haven't eaten here in over 10, even 15 years.

People who aren't nostalgic about this place might be put off by the somber, outdated, stuck-in-the-80s decor. The train tracks just below the ceiling were covered in cobwebs and we didn't see the toy train going around the store. I can imagine people being more judgmental about their food simply because of the decor.

Good news is they updated their menu, considering I haven't been here in decades haha. They now have chicken, rice meals and dessert. Best addition is their mushroom fries! It is so ridiculously cheap here that we wondered who's doing who a favor - us giving them business or them giving us the pleasure to eat this. Not as oily as Petits, just as awesome at a fraction of the price. They even have a big bowl of those fries, which I saw was ordered by another customer. I wanted to hoard some to bring home but I was worried it wouldn't reheat well. They also served coffee in nice ceramic cups. Funny how the cups looked so fancy in there.

My juicy burger was still great. Nostalgia in a bite. Maybe I'll
Ask for a double patty next time. With all the new burger places sprouting (pun) left and right that sell 400 peso burgers, this was such a bargain. There were only a few people eating and we really enjoyed our time there. The H & I were discussing if it would help if they reinvented themselves and renovated their store. It'll be easy to get a team to make this great again. The price points here are so low though and I'm certain it will greatly affect the pricing when they do. Maybe that's part of the charm of this place.

We will definitely be back.

It's a bit disconcerting to find out you have to wait for 20 minutes because a burger place ran out of buns.

but we stayed nonetheless. Mushroomburger is one of the old standby tourist spots in Tagaytay. You can get any one of several variants of mushroom sandwiches, and they even have rice meals and pasta. What excited me this time is that they have an option of fried mushrooms for sides, instead of french fries. These fried mushrooms are good, brilliant idea!

You can also buy mushrooms here, whether fresh or dried. The fresh ones will last maybe 10 days in refrigeration, and 3 days in it's like they haven't changed.

Great alternative to potato fries. But burgers were so-so for burger lovers. Liked it because I don't have the palate for expensive or "real" burger.

Also, felt bad after eating too much. I'm not sure if mushrooms or just traveling.

My buddy and i love to eat in here whenever we want a bit of the cold air of tagaytay and a different twist of burger and fries.

I gave it four stars. The first and second star is for the price and the location, since tagaytay is a tourist spot anyone would surely find the price convenient for those who have a tight budget. Third star is for their unique specialty which is mushroom. Their patties are made from mushrooms, and you can choose from mix to 100%. Fourth star is for the mushroom fries, this one taste like chicharon and i love to dip it with vinegar though you can also dip it in ketchup and it would be like fried chicken. They have other stuff in their menu, like rice, pasta and dessert. But i would recommend the fries for those who wants a different touch of pick-a.

One less star for the cashier who certainly doesnt want to be there by the way she treats her customers( but some crews are friendly), and the place might need a little upgrade.

And that would be it. This place is good for barkada and family bonding.

I seriously love it here! I don't mind coming back in every Tagaytay visit just to satisfy my cravings of an all time fave -- Mushroom sandwich. I also love how this place has expanded and how it has reinvented Filipino dishes with a twist!

For this visit, we tried something different from the new menu. We had the cheesy mushroom burger (forgot the name) and had it paired with mushroom fries and soda. SO GOOD! The burger had an extra layer of omelette which I thought added an oomph to their usual burgers. The mushroom fries were a bit oily but I have to commend that they were crisped to perfection128076 Can't wait to have mushroom buuurger fix again!9786

Is their West Ave. branch as good as the one Tagaytay?

On our way home, my cousin asked Tatay to stop by Mushroom Burger to buy pasalubong for Tito. I took the liberty to take out an order to finally taste this one talked about burger joint.

I ordered Royal Burger meal for take out and added Mixed Berry and Cookies 'n Cream Tornado for Tatay and me for dessert to wash off the taste kf tawilis.

Their Cookies 'n Cream is a cheaper version of Dairy Queen's but it was fine. Mixed Berry's overly sweet though. Mushroom fries was a surprise for me. It was really flavorful but a bit oily. Finally, the Royal burger was also a pleasure although I did not really get to enjoy it that much because I was still full when I tasted it. For me, the layer that made the burger exceptional was the scrambled egg that tasted like "tortang giniling". Am I right? Is that it? Oh well. It really was more defining than the patty itself.

Mushroom Burger has good parking space. The place reminds me of Tropical Hut with a different motif, menu kind of resembles Tropical Hut's basic value meals as well.
