Just found this singaporean joint while strolling megamall, it caught my eyes and stomach 128517 at firstni told my boyfie to try this some other time since we just ate lunch but then it was already our dinner time so we decided to just try it now

Food was delicious and it has that street food feel to it, flavors are rich and the quality of the food is great but the price is very affordable, definitely worth it.

Will try their laksa next time 128513

When I think of street food, the first thing that pops in my mind is kwek kwek, quail eggs coated with a mysterious orange batter (I sometimes wonder why, of all colors, they chose orange haha). I am a big fan of street food, and barbeque on the streets always had room in my tummy. You just can't ignore that smoke!

This one here was barbequed chicken with satay/peanut sauce. Nothing too special. The texture was nice and firm, not like a chewing gum. Tastewise, lemongrass was there, not too salty, and it really tasted like chicken (I hate it when they over marinade the meat that it starts to loose it's original flavor).

The real show stopper here was the peanut sauce. I love KFC gravy on my chicken, but this one was just incomparable! This creamy, grainy sauce seemed to be blended with other spices, so you can only taste a hint of peanut. I just can't describe how it tasted so refreshing and it goes perfectly well with the slightly burnt chicken. Our local street barbeque should start adding this to the usual choices of "sawsawan". I bet it would be a big hit!

Price around P 150 for 4 sticks. Best paired with their spicy nasi goreng (fried rice) :D

We were looking for a new place to eat at SM Megamall and saw this Singaporean Restaurant. We were quite full and nauseated from eating popcorn and chips so we decided to just have noodles for dinner. For P120, the serving was small and though it is good, it doesn't have that "special taste". On the other hand, I highly recommend their unique drinks (P75~) :D I tried the Rose-like milk tea (forgot the name), and loved it because of its lychee-like after taste.

This used to be called Orchard Road. This place is alright if you're craving cheap Singaporean food.

I ordered the fried rice (the orange one) and the laksa. I put the rice in the laksa, and it was sooo good! I found the rice to be a lot tastier than the actual laksa noodles.

Noticed that the oyster omelette is no longer on the menu. What a shame! This was one of their better dishes.

Ordered Prawn Mee Noodles and Roasted Chicken, both solo size. Not that good. The noodles tasted weird and ang lansa ng chicken for me so I just put a lot of sauce to make it taste better.

Sunday Backlog!

Last Friday was Valentines Day and just want to greet you all belated Happy Hearts Day!128536

My kids went home early from school so there was a change of plans on our vday celebration. My kids Latrell Joshua L Adelheid L decided to go to SM Megamall and will just meet there my husband after his work. We got there before 3pm and I still haven't eat my lunch. Decided to try the My Singapore Food Street. I was curious every time I see it and the merlion!

Glad that there was not much customers when we went there and the place was really huge and spacious. I just got there combo meals which is the Singaporean rice meals. It has fried rice and shanghai rolls . It cost around 150 pesos with no drinks, there ice tea 127865 cost 70 pesos and a bit pricey but it was huge. The taste was really different from ordinary ice tea.

All in all I know that the price was a bit expensive but the food was good even if it's in a small amount128077

I enjoyed my picture taking at merlion, missing Singapore

I like their Lechon Macau and Fish Tofu. Singaporean Fried Rice is just ordinary, nothing special about it.

Actually this was my second visit, last time I ordered their Milo Dinosaur coz it says it's the favorite singaporean beverage. I don't know why I expected the taste to be something different so I was a bit disappointed coz it just tasted like plain Milo . No add-ons or special flavors or anything like that. Sana nagtimpla na lang ako mura pa. Haha anyway, maybe I just expected too much ..

Overall, I still think this place is great :)

Popiah and Laksa.

Food here is inexpensive and serving is pwede na if your gutom is pwede na din (anudaw?). 128561

Anyhoo, I like their version of laksa. Generous serving and the soup was so flavorful. I actually enjoyed eating it (despite it burning my tongue --- twas served very hot). I like the spicy kick...my kind of tulo-sipon anghang! Naks! 128514

The popiah, however, was...just fine. It was delish but I guess it didn't taste close to the one I had at a hawkers' area in sg. That one was so good, i didn't mind it had semi crushed peanuts in it (thing is, i am the only person I know who thinks mixing peanuts in food is very wrong). Anyway, back to megamall, I like that the veggies were fresh and it was good enough for sharing. At P90 sulit na din 128077

Wait staff were all smiles and very attentive. 128074128522

Relatives had a Singaporean/roti craving for dinner last Sunday, so we ended up here in My Singapore.

Quite predictably, we ordered the roti with curry dip. Along with that, we had our solo orders: Hainanese Chicken Rice set, beef noodle soup, hokkien mee, yang chow fried rice, and laksa.

Well, to put it bluntly, we were disappointed. The following are my relatives' comments combined with mine. We generally agreed on our opinion regarding this place.

The chicken rice was too soggy, and it lacked the fragrance characteristic of chicken rice. The chicken itself... Nothing special. It wasn't worth P210. The sweet soy sauce was good though. HAHA.

The serving of beef noodle soup was too small. They only put in 2 thin beef slices. The noodles weren't really the best complement to the soup. I think they were the yellow, thin, egg noodles. Flour-based noodles would have been better. The soup, on the other hand, lacked spices. Walang dating.

The hokkien mee was bland. Period. I actually had to put the sweet soy sauce in order to eat my share of this!

The yang chow fried rice (pictured after we sort of dug through it) was horrendous... First of all, since when did yang chow fried rice become THAT orange? Naging java rice na ata yan. To add insult to injury (my sister is the biggest yang chow fried rice fan I know out there), it didn't even have the slightest hint of egg! Pinatong lang yung egg. Que horror! Additionally, the shrimps were nowhere to be found!!! You call this yang chow?! :(( nakakaiyak. It was also very sticky (hindi halata sa picture kasi ginalaw na namin), which is a no-no in my family for fried rice.

The laksa wasn't even remotely spicy, according to my spice-loving relatives.

The roti (sort of) saved the day. It was chewy and sweet. Not too flaky, which is good. It wasn't toasted too much either. However, the curry dipping was a letdown. It was too runny. Curry dips are supposed to be a little thicker so that they stick to the roti!! :(( plus, the dip wasn't enough for the roti. Kuripot much?

Pero Kebab Factory (huhu RIP) roti pa rin kami, forever and always.

BTW, does anyone know if Kebab Factory still has a branch? The one in Megamall became Chili's na... Hahaha... :(

Oh, and yes, go to Singapore for the real deal. This place doesn't even come close.
