For starters, we ordered Fresh Spring Rolls (P129) from Pho Hoa which shared the same space with My Thai. It was good but it's not something I'll come back for. We also got Chicken Pad Thai (P210) and Fried Chicken Wings with Sweet Chili Sauce (P178). The pad thai was so flavorful and I found myself eating more of it even if I already feel full.

Overall, the food was okay. I just don't know if it's just the aircon or they really served the food quite cold. Servers were efficient and food was affordable. Nothing superb but it's a decent place if you want to satisfy your Thai food craving.

It’s our second time to try this Thai resto. The first one was in Wilson St. San Juan. My Thai shares the dining area, and perhaps the kitchen as well, with Pho Hoa. The place was well lit and very pretty. I liked the colors, the furniture and the decor.

Chicken Curry (Php 275)
This one had an interesting flavor profile. It was salty, sweet and tangy all at the same time.

Tenderloin Beef with Rice (Php 320 from Pho Hoa)
Serve hot with lots of rice. It was good because the beef tenderloin cubes were well seared and medium to medium rare inside.

Chicken Vegetable Salad (Php 195 from Pho Hoa)
Simple, light, yet tasty salad with grilled chicken. and oven broiled marinated vegetables.

What I like about My Thai is their slightly modern take on homegrown Thai food. With prices ranging for Php 250 - 350 per dish, this would appear to be worth it. Added to the very friendly and helpful staff, I would go back to this place. 128516

Quality of food has greatly decreased from the time this restaurant first opened in Eastwood. Pomelo and Shrimp Salad was just so-so. And their chicken satay was really bad - very mushy. Peanut sauce also tasted weird.

This branch is adjoined with Pho Hoa, which I like because it allows you to order from both menus. The interiors are mostly My Thai's design and they also have a mini dessert counter in one corner.

I had my usual Vermicelli salad bowl with Grilled Chicken and Spring Rolls. Just a light meal while waiting for brother's turn from the horrendously long and unsystematic cinema ticketing lines! Ugh! (I will rant about this in a separate review)

As usual, the salad bowl was refreshingly good! I will never get tired of eating this. My mother is also starting to get addicted so much so that we ate the same thing the next day!

As for the service, it wasn't good but it wasn't all that bad either because the manager was able to compensate for the shortcomings.

Since it was a Sunday and the restaurant is strategically located in a corner right across the cinemas, they were jam-packed that day. This branch can seat about 45 pax approximately. However, they only had 3 waiters which is obviously not enough to ensure great service across the board. The manager was also acting as waiter, running around serving one table after the other.

We took an unkempt table. We waited 5 minutes before our table was cleaned. The waiter didn't hand me a menu and he proceeded to clean the next table instead. Maybe he thought we were done eating already!

I had to call the waiter back to tell him that I no longer needed a menu and asked if he can just take my order already. The kind waiter dropped his cleaning tools right away and took my order pronto!

After that, the manager took over serving our table until we got the bill. I guess he sensed that we were starting to have tantrums already! He was friendly and attentive. We didn't have to ask for water refills. 128516

Sadly, I'm would still have to minus points128530
-1 star for the 5 min. wait
-1 star for the mishaps of the tired waiter
+1 adding back 1 star for the good manager and because I was happy with my order and because I loved the interiors.

Definitely coming back, but definitely not on a Sunday!

Bagoong rice? MyThai has always been there to satisfy my craving. I'm not a fan of fish paste but somehow, bagoong rice has made its way to my heart. I haven't really had the chance to try a lot of other versions so I can't compare how good it is against others. However, if MyThai has changed my mind about bagoong, then it must be one tasty dish too good to pass up. As for their boneless chicken and spring rolls, you can forget about them.

The food was generally ok. Their sauces gave their dishes extra taste. The crabmeat fried rice tasted a little burnt though. If you're looking for affordable food that can fill the stomach then you should consider this place.

Their staff said that serving is good for 2 but IMO 3-4 persons can share most of the dishes.
