Are you good at solving mysteries? Have you imagined yourself trapped in a scenario wherein you need to find clues? Mystery manila offers you that.

I dont know, but i am not just good at solving clues. I am amazed to see the scoreboards (best times) to see such groups could solve mysteries in a flash. Twice i have been here and still we ran out of time.

If you get a chance to drop by here, make sure you invite your friends who loves solving mysteries otherwise you'll be wasting your PhP450. You'll be given more or less an hour to solve mysteries in a scenario of your choice. Ours was the X-men themed mystery in which new mutant trainees (us!) who are given a test to try our skills of being able to see hidden messages (xray vision), able to read minds (mental telepathy) and able to pass through walls.

Truly ingenious.
Mystery manila provided UV flash lights for the first skill, smart-phones for the second skill and garter lined walls for the third skill. Having to get as much as many clues we could find, we still requested more clues from the mystery manila staff (which will automatically add time to your game). At the end, when we we were about to solve the last clue to open the last door, we ran out of time 128557

Well, they told us afterwards that it's one of the difficult rooms, but anyway... still i applause the creativity and innovative skills of the people behind mystery manila. Come and visit them cause they do give create new scenarios every now and then.

Oh yeah. Don't be a spoiler. Have mercy on those who wanna play the game. 128540

I would really just give this a four star, but i love their creative minds and concepts.

I truly believe one of the best team-building activities there is, is to solve a mystery in a room-escape game. In my previous work I took my officemates at Mystery Manila in Jupiter, Makati branch. In my new place of work, I took my teammates at Mystery Manila, Century Mall.

This MM is bigger than the one in Jupiter and has more rooms (mysteries) to offer to its patrons. Because I'm a horror junkie I picked Debby's Doll, a horror mystery that is inspired by the movie, Annabelle. It seems like I'm with better company this time because we were able to figure out some clues without asking the assistance of the game master. In Jupiter, I played Rebecca's Room. We were able to escape but not without soliciting the help of the game master. None of the clues we were able to figure out by ourselves.

Anyway, the game started with a pep talk after putting away our stuff in the locker. The story goes like this. You're a family who just moved in to a house and one of your members, Debby, found a doll. This doll is haunted and it has trapped you in the house. To escape, you must solve the mystery inside the room. You only got 60 mins. to solve it.

The game master said that she finds Rebecca's Room a lot creepier; I beg to disagree. There is something eerie about Debby's Doll. Not that we experienced real-life paranormal
activities, it's just that throughout the game I wasn't able to shake out the creepy feeling unlike when I played Rebecca's. For this, I give MM Century Mall kudos because they were successful in setting the tone for this mystery that it felt like I was in a horror house instead of an escape-room.

We failed at solving the mystery because we ran out of time. We were sad because there's just one lock left and we weren't able to open it. Nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed the game, so did my teammates. And I would love to come back to try other mysteries.

Peeps here are very friendly! We played Debby's Doll, but unfortunately, we were a couple of steps short to solving it. 128546 Sayang! Pero it's worth the try. Room design + musical scoring = good experience. 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻

Trying out something new this weekend. Challenge yourself with Mystery Manila's newest branch at Century City Mall. Experience #centurymallhappening with your friends by trying to solve riddles and clues to escape the room in under 1 hour. Nakaka-stress Drilon ha 128561

Chichi T, Kirby G, Dastine S, and I tried their newest room: the virtual voyage. 127760 Apparently no one has ever solved the room under 1 hour. And I'm proud to say, Hindi rin namin na-solve! 128517 we were at the door already decoding the lock when the timer ran out. If we only had 5 more minutes 128561. But wth, we were only 4 in the group and we still solved it in 65minutes. Not bad, aye?

It's definitely a cool activity and it's a reprieve from the usual movie or food trip. If you want to test your brain cells (like we don't stress it out enough during the weekday hahaha), it's definitely a must try!

Ps: if you get dizzy easily or have vertigo, don't do the virtual thing. Chichi T and I were dizzy for a long time after it. Hahaha. But it's all good!

To summarize (like what I do in my IG chubbyperohappy):
