My feet probably would be one of those that manikuristas try to avoid. Not because they need to use pliers to cut my nails off but because it always looks pretty harmless on the outside but is actually quite challenging on the deepest crevasses of my adorable toes. The inside skin of my toes is very sensitive and thin so it has to be dealt with with utmost care. 128534 So arte. 128527

And because I typically describe this sitch beforehand, most junior manikuristas work on it with their hands shaking, afraid that they may cut me which is ironic because their unstable hands are probably the reason why I end up wounded in the first place. 128540

I have one expert nail tech, she works at LFI Timog, but since I transferred to the south, I see her rarely now, so I had to look for an alternative. Almost always I end up getting bloody feet and that sucks. 128533 Then after writing about another nail salon, I remembered Paula P recommending Nail Tropics. Then SM BF opened and Nail Tropics sprouted like mushroom 128513

As of this writing, it's been my third time in their salon and so far, no cuts or bruises yet and they really take out what's supposed to be taken out of my feet (no gory details). I like their salon, it's pretty direct-to-the-point. No super girly decorations but the seats are super comfy. It's not the usual soft couches that gets cramped up when there's a multitude of customers, they're individually placed, with super soft foams and pillows and 2 small side tables/ottomans for each seat.

As for the nail techs, I've been really lucky to be assigned to good ones. I have to advise though that, like love, when you find her, don't let her go. 128514128514

Price-wise, a wee bit higher that the others but it's cool. 128077

Wooooohoooo! First to review!!! I love the Tropical Oasis! (is that what it's called?) Anyway, love the greens and browns in the store + the silver accents.

Zoë enjoyed her kiddie pedi so much she didn't move when Aicel painted her toenails.

Chelsie did my Mint O Feet pedi spa and was perfect!!! Aicel did my express mani service and she did good, too!

Yaya had Butter Me Up and enjoyed it a whole lot.

Miss D did my first full leg wax and it was fast and best part: IT DIDN'T HURT! (I was nervous the whole time, didn't want to accidentally scream in the store).

GREAT service for a new store! Go get ur service here, they're open!:)
