Dining at Nathaniel's is like eating in a cafeteria except that the food is much better.

We ordered sizzling pork chop and roast beef. It was nothing fancy but would you complain if you were given a hefty amount of servings for such an affordable price.

By the way, they also have the best puto pao, buko juice, chicharon and fish crackers!

The place itself is not overly extravagant but Nathaniel's Bakeshop makes some pretty darn good noodle soups! For me, the best was the Lomi. The broth was silky like a great Japanese Ramen but full of flavor. It comes with huge chunks of pork that still have the fatty goodness on them.

The noodle soups here are perfect for the price and great on a cool or cold day. Noodle soups come out hot, so be careful not to burn yourself.

The siomai, almost as good as the Lomi (heck, maybe even better). The skins are thinner than I'm used to. Grab some of the soy dipping sauce, a little chili oil, and have yourself a fantastic Php55-meal. There's really not much else to say about this place. Definitely come check it out and eat some noodles here, or take it to-go, if you're ever around the area.

Cheers,
Mickey

If you want honest to goodness simple fare this is the place to be. They serve mami, siopao, palabok and the usual food Pinoy's serve on their tables regularly. It's a place where one can dine in when you don't feel like cooking yet you want something nice and filling for a reasonable price.

I am only reviewing what I ordered yesterday.

I was so hungry I ordered Lumpiang Sariwa, Pancit Sotanghon and Halo Halo all for myself (see photo). I consumed my halo-halo first, wasn't able to finish my pancit, and didn't even touch my lumpia so I had to request for a to-go.

The halo-halo is not very sweet (and I prefer that) but I think it could use a little more milk, that is if you are used to their famous buko pandan. The sotanghon is very filling. I ate the lumpia at home and I think I should have asked more sauce for to-go. This lumpiang sariwa doesn't have the usual "green leafy vegetable" in it too.

The price for the food I ordered is very reasonable (PhP195.00).

Their Lomi was really good! 128076128077 I cannot say the same for the Lasagna though, it was too cheesy that it overpowers everything else. A serving is big enough to be shared, and costs only around P100. Get their Special Halo-halo for dessert. Sarap! 128077

Being a Kapampangan, Nathaniel's is one of our go to places for sweets. Must try is their Buko Pandan 128076.

Another popular dish in the menu is their siomai. This one though, for me, has more extenders to a fault.

Today, I went to the P. Guevara branch for merienda with my parents after grocery shopping. Dad got Pancit Canton and mom had lasagna. Both were really good 128077 I tried the chicken arrozcaldo and was not disappointed. Even my 6-month old baby loves it! (Ooops, I'm not supposed to let her try this yet). Best of all is we only paid 300++ for these (and 2 drinks)! 128515

Before we left, we had to grab some puto paos (asado-filled puto) to go. These are also yummy! 128538

I had Nathaniel's bulalo today and honestly, this is one of the best bulalos I've ever tasted. The serving was also big and extremely yummy.

It only costs Php 150.

Keep going back to this place because of their Buko Pandan. This time, went there to dine and try other items in their menu. Palabok is good and so is their siopao. Siomai a bit lack in taste though. Felt kinda awkward in looking at their take-out counter because all of their staff were staring at us. Hahahaha!

Never miss out their best selling buko pandan salad and siomai!

You can pre-order and then just pick up on another date. Better pay in full when you order for a hassle free pick up experience 128540.

While waiting for dad to have his haircut nearby, I decided to try out Nathaniel's (beside Rustan's).

I was a little taken aback when I first arrived, because there were no customers inside. And for the first maybe 10-15 minutes I was here, I was the only dine-in customer. Oddly, about 20 minutes into my stay, place started filling up..which is easy since the place isn't that big.

I decided to go for a lasagna while waiting for dad. Asked them how large the serving is and they showed me this thing in a tupperware that looked okay, not too big and not too small. Surprise surprise, when it was served to me..it turned out to be huge! It was about 3x2inches wide, and like 1.5-2inches deep. And it was only P100!

The lasagna was soooo cheesy, it was actually too cheesy for me. I could barely taste the meat in it because of all the cheese. About halfway through, I didnt know if I could finish it all (it was only supposed to be a snack!) but luckily I did!

Iced tea was worth P45 but I felt like it lacked taste, too water-y, didn't feel it matched up to the price.

Also ordered some ube puto at P100 for about 12 pieces. It was so-so, I've had better...

Service-wise, nothing fancy. It's really like a snack place though I don't recall their having any music. Only the sound of the servers talking to each other...

I'd probably come back since a friend told me food here was quite good and I'd probably try their other dishes if I was with friends.

Nathaniel's Mochi with Coconut Cream sauce. Sticky, chewy, Kapampangan ground rice pastry snacks filled with a mixture of grated coconut, sweet red beans, and sugar. Yummy with the creamy coconut sauce.

We all know Nathaniel's for their delicious Buko-Pandan Frozen Salad. But this is the first time for me to try their Mochi. It wasn't a surprise that this Pampangan establishment would come up with this Kapampangan delicacy made from ground sticky rice with a sweet stuffing. Steamed then grilled giving the wrapper a faint crunchy crust (somewhat similar to a gyoza wrapper's cooked texture).

I liked it but I love Susie's Cuisine's version more. Why? Nathaniel's inclusion of grated coconuts in the stuffing made the delicacy rough to the tongue. I found Susie's version smoother and more pleasant to the palate.

Wooh my favorite! Not just because of it's flavor (apparently yan lang ang gusto kong buko pandan flavor dahil dito I loved buko pandan) but because of what's in it. Pure milk content, big slices of buko and the pandan taste! Gosh this is heaven! As well as it's not just a salad but it taste and looks like an ice cream! For a hot day this is worth the try
