Irashaimasu!

Thank God for late night Ramen! 9996128513

Nemoto Closes late so food tripping before going home ain't no problem after a night of gimik. This place is also frequented by a lot Japanese Nationals since the 80s. One of the telltale signs that they are indeed authentic Japanese. 128077

My usual order of Miso Ramen is very straight forward. Thick, not oily and comes with a lot of vegetables. Perfect if you want to alleviate the impending hangover that is about to hit you in a few. 128514 They also have house tea of which you can choose if hot or cold free of charge (house tea nga eh pasensya na may tama hahaha)

EDIT: Oh wait... #loolooexplorerpackgiveaway 9996128514

The photo shows what i ordered plus tempura. Excellent in taste. Miso soup is really really good. I couldn't finish the whole thing. Staff are friendly and the service is fast.

We were the only Filipinos here because everyone else was Japanese. The Nemoto bento had katsu, tempura, chicken kaarage, maguro sashimi and tamago. Wonderful flavors all around. It's a secluded location but the Japanese love this place and I love it too. Amazing what you can find.

This resto has been around waaaaay before the Ramen Craze. Used to eat Ramen here as a kid! Their Miso Ramen is not as fancy as the more popular ones but it does the job. It has for more than 20yrs 128077128077128077

Second Part of Avida Food Hunt.128522

• PLACE
- I honestly didn't notice the place since it was really small. Not a fancy type of Japanese Restaurant but it's like the traditional one. I even saw the wall with different Japanese character all over that we can't understand. Even their menu was written in Japanese characters. A portion of the restaurant was filled with different Hello Kitty Memorabilia since the old owner is a collector of Hello Kitty. Cool! 128513

• SERVICE
*No service review since it's bloggers event*

• FOOD
We had their Special Mix. Consist of different Rolls and Sushi. I'm not a fan of these foods, but I quite like it. The sushi doesn't have fishy after taste while the rolls are uniquely different from others. I can'y explain but it's yummier than others. 128516

I've been here many times with my foodtrip buddies. We always ate Bento, especially their "Nemoto Bento" (my ultimate favorite so far). It was very good. Served with miso soup which i really liked it. But i didn't like their gyoza. Maki & tuna sashimi are also good. You must try it. The ambiance is very homey with hello kitty collections.

I don't know if i was too drunk or anything but i actually found their Miso Ramen and Gyoza quite satisfying. Was quite cheap and serving was also big. Their Ramen is just right and not too fatty/oily. Seems like authentic Japanese to me. Definitely coming back since their open til 2am.

The gyudon was okay. Actually the sauce & the rice was what I liked, their beef is tough for me. What was surprisingly good in this japanese resto was their "Sisig".. Can you believe that? Sisig? Wild!

Parking sucks in this area but the food makes up for it. I always get the bento box and some tuna sashimi. My standard for a good Japanese resto is the amount of Japanese people eating, and Nemoto always has Japanese customers. I think the owner is Japanese who married a Filipino...

Authentic. You won't notice this place if you do not know this place. They offer real Jap dishes and maki platters. Prices are affordable. I still find the food in Little Tokyo better though. :)

Nemoto is to Buendia what Ishin is to Pasay Road. It's a genuine, small to mid sized restaurant frequented by Japanese.

There is a certain lightness to the food that makes it easier to digest after a late night binge. With parking for four cars, and store hours til the wee hours of the morning, its perfect for those who had too much of the food channel and decided to give in.

The interior is even homier than ishin. Even homier than little tokyo types. It has two TVs on either end and a smoking area near the entrance. It is not uncommon to find the japanese owner, the loud but friendly woman she is, bouncing around tables with japanese regulars and their japayuki ladies who could place orders in nihongo.

Ishin or zaifu at the powerplant is a good peg as to the quality of the food, albeit with a significantly smaller selection. But each food category is generally represented (donburi, tepan etc), so it works.

Hey, its 1am. Its this. Or the food channel.
