When I was a kid (or until now, pwede din 128513), I segrerate flavors into sections. For me, the sweet flavors should be for the candies and chocolates and desserts ONLY. I was never a fan of sweet dishes. I easily pass up when a dish is sweet... Unless there's something in there that would balance off the flavor.

I love chorizo but I don't really like the sweet ones. When my friends suggested that I try Neo Neo's famous chorizo I went and looked for the place. When I saw that it was a glorified sweet longganiza, I wanted to back out but the raves I got made me think otherwise.

I ordered a lot for everyone. And then they called me and asked me to follow somewhere for dinner and alas! It was a different branch of Neo Neo! 128514

And since mine was a take-away and they had theirs ordered for dine-in, I sampled the raved-about sausage. It was grilled and pierced in skewers. They also gave a saucer with a specific dip for the chorizo. The sweetness of the chorizo perfectly blended well with the sour-salty-spicy flavor of the dip and I loved it.

I was able to finish off more than a cup of rice. Imagine that!

I don't know what's special about it but it was good. And it's cheap! 128077

So yeah, when in Cebu, try Neo Neo 128522128077

My mom brought me here when I was new in Cebu 3 years back. She would tell me they have the best grilled "everything" (tuna belly, barbecue, etc.)

Indeed, it did not disappoint. I would recommend their Grilled Tuna Belly. The best.

Aside from their grilled everything, they also have budget meals (unlimited rice, of course) to suit those who are on a tight budget. Not only that, they have pork sisig, ngohiong, imbao soup, and other Filipino cuisines.

The place is a bit small compared to their branch in Mabolo. It easy fills up during peak hours though they have priority numbers.
