Headed out for early dinner around 5PM since we didn't want to deal with the weekend crowd in Tagaytay. Neul bolm is one of our fave Korean restos so off we went.
Unfortunately, super lackluster service when we got there. Maybe they felt it was too early? No greeting when we arrived, I even had to ask kung open sila.
Got the dolsot bibimbap and a serving of beef and spicy pork bulgogi. Bibimbap and pork were really so good! The beef was meh IMO. And the girl who was cooking for us, naka simangot! I even had to move the fan by myself cos no one was doing it.
Hay, would've given it 4 stars since the food was really good but service is super important in a restaurant. 🙁

Beside Summit Ridge & Meralco. Walang aircon, so mainit a bit during lunch time, walang card transaction (normal sa mga korean place), buti masarap ang food and not hard to park :)

Have been seeing this resto for quite a while so when I read and heard some good reviews, we went ahead and had dinner there last week.
On the first page of their menu, you can find like a combo meal where you can choose two types of meat and you can get two cups of rice, veggies and danjeong soup for free. Pretty good deal but I really wanted to try the kimchi fried rice so I had that too lol!
Veggies were super fresh as you can see on the pic and they give you a lot! We got the beef and pork samgyupsal. I liked the pork more, parang liempo 128513the server will cook for you if you want.
Less one star cos the place needed a bit of sprucing up IMO.
Total bill with 2 ice cream php1250

A go to resto for Koreans in Tagaytay, must be good and authentic. Wide screened windows allowed cool Tagaytay air to permeate the place which was neat and clean and no funny smell like in some other Korean grill restos. Servings are good to share and filling like this bibimbap. Had the samgyeupsal too with the freshest lettuce. The kimchi soup was spicy hot and kept us warm during the meal. 128522

Look at that meat!!! 10084️ I loved the thinly sliced beef and the Samgyupsal. The winner for me was the kimchi fried rice! I'm craving for it now as I'm typing this! 128547

Their kimchi rice and samgyubsal are amazing. gets packed in the busy hours so best to go early. Their grillers are so efficient. The smell doesn't stick to your clothes which is a plus for me.

If you get bored, Sky Ranch is right in front.

THE Must try Korean resto in Tagaytay 128077

Good food, good prices.
The best dish for me was the seafood pancake, the reviews were right! At P250, it packed quite a lot. So the picture you see here is a wiped out plate :) of the seafood pancake which I had the honor of "finishing off" hehe. Yum.

Our family also loved the grilled beef (bacon-like in cut) and the pork slices. What an experience to wrap in really fresh greens/leaves. We also ordered the Kalbi chim which was easily devoured as well.

The reviews were also right, there were a lot of Koreans that night---spelling authenticity. :)

After so many attempts to eat here, we finally had the chance to eat here. I hope we can come back in our next visits to Tagaytay :),

I loved this place because of the fresh lettuce they have for the samgyupsal. I love how cozy this place is. We ate here before it was air conditioned. The fresh air gave it a true homy feel.

I loved their seafood pancake as well as the bulgogi. The seafood pancake was filled with squid, shrimp and crab sticks. You will really taste lots of seafood in it. Not "tinipid" at all. Mainly, i love how you will feel the Korean vibe all thru out the dining experience.

Unfortunately, They changed and upgraded. Sadly, the quality of food was affected a little bit.

Finally i could dine here. The place is between taal vista and summit ridge.

The place: a bungalow with glass doors; wooden chairs and tables. Separate CR for men and women. I think it's a residential place cause i saw a laundry machine by the corner of the CR.

I ordered bibimbop: this the first bibimbop with raw onions. Like.
Free Side dish: mung sprouts, pechay, kimchi, egg omelet, miso-like soup, and mushrooms.
I like their kimchi... Chili is not overpowering.. When i usually eat ordinary kimchi, i sweat a lot, but this kimchi, i say, is authentic.
I saw the korean cook.. Parang nanay lang,, may apron.

The place is 1/4 full at that time; 3/4 of that are koreans: implication: authenticity.

Prices are kinda square: 250-350.. I think doesn't know much about pricing?

Do you know if it's offending to give tips to such restos? They dont accept card and no service charge..
Pwedeng visit ulit :)

We went here for my brothers birthday lunch...

We ordered a set of liempo and it comes with 2 cups of rice 127834, tofu kimchi soup 127858, japchae , appetizers and a big bowl of greens (napa cabbage. lettuce, sesame leaves, cabbage)
We also ordered additional beef to BBQ.

It was nothing great. Got a lot of veggies that we were able to bring home to make salad.

The place was an average sized room with wooden tables and chairs. We ordered Dejie Bulgogi (pork bulgogi), Kimchi Jeon (kimchi pancake), and Hemul Ramyun (seafood noodles). The menu was quite limited but the side dishes and kimchi jeon tasted better than in other Korean restaurants. It only cost us Php880 including two cups of rice; the side dishes are for free as usual.
