The shrimp Biryani was excellent. I normally wouldn't finish all in one sitting but I did :)

New Bombay WAS one of our favorite restos several years ago maybe around 2010. We really loved the food! Since we don't frequent makati anymore, it's been a while since we've been to NB so we were quite excited to have dinner here last Saturday.
First off, there was another table of locals when we got there. No biggie. BUT, one of them who came from the bathroom stopped by our table and got the tissue from the holder on our table! 128563128563128563 umm, okay! So we moved tables.
We ordered our favorites- palak paneer, chicken tikka masala and egg biryani. We also got a cheese naan and a butter naan.
Food was served after several minutes but I felt that it didn't have the same 'kick' it had before. Still good but not 'wow'.
Was supposed to wash my hands in the bathroom but the whole floor was wet! Never mind. And then I saw that someone was sleeping, as in lying down on the floor behind the counter! Ano ba Yan! That's when I decided, never again!
Maybe hubby and I are just gettin old but both of us felt bloated and sluggish a couple of hours after eating. So being the dinosaurs that we were, we just headed back to Alabang.
Sorry NB.

I'm not a fan of curry and other Indian food before. When hubby asked me to try it ( he liked Indian cuisine btw), i never thought I'd like it. 128523

Chicken tikka masala was so good it needs another order of rice haha! 127834 highly recommended 128077🏼 hubby also ordered a curry dish (forgot what specific) and it tasted delicious too!

I expected something with too much spice in it but I was wrong 128522 Their dishes had the perfect balance of flavors.

The tables and chairs were a bit big for the space; so if the restaurant is full, you (or the waitress) have no place to walk unless people move their seats.

Indian this time

So upon entering the resto, i rmmber the feel of going to little india at Singapore.. Well, no experience of going to India so i guess that's the closest. Some indians came in after i was seated. I thought, yeah, i'm in the right place for authentic indian food!

I ordered lemon chicken (i later changed it to chicken masala but then they still served me lemon chicken). It was super rich in flavor. It's not the chinese type with lemon syrup etc.. It's curry type

With that i ordered their garlic naan. I ate it with the chicken lemon .. Like as tacos. Haha... Wasn't satisfied i ordered plain rice. So good.

I suggest you order plain rice cause their dishes are already full of spices.

For drinks i ordered their almond lassi or their yoghurt drink.. Not so remarkable, just all natural... They sprinkled and blended in the almonds on plain yoghurt drink... U know dutch milk? :)

I ordered their hulfe (indian ice cream) Alex O.. Weird that my ice cream doesen't have fruits? Well.. I say it was icy.. Like as ice candy BUT with the creaminess of a condensed milk.. Drizzled with nuts. Vanilla. :) it's good to have tasted this.

There's a TV which plays music videos... So as the indians were chatting, the rest of the filipino folks (including me) were hypnotized watching those indian singers and dancers... Dreamy.... I guess it's because we've never seen such great culture. :)

The service was fast and good.
For more sometime! :)

Food was okay. It's just I'm not too familiar with the menu so I was just like pointing whatever I think tastes good. 128584
How many times i already tried their dishes, and most of it looks the same yet tastes different. But what i like most here is the Cheese Naan dipped in any curry. Everything is compatible to it . Unlike Butter Naan it gives a bitter taste to some of the dip. But most of all, a must try drinks are the almond and dry lassi. Tastes good! 128077

I'd been to 3 branches of the New Bombay (Dela Costa, The Podium and the latest Glorietta 3) and i may say The Podium branch is better among the others. 9996

I love Indian food. It's so close to home and does not need for any acquired taste. For this visit, we ordered the Chicken Manchurian with gravy and Fish something (sorry wasn't the one who ordered this). The Chicken Manchurian is just like Sweet and Sour but a bit more spicy. What was really good was our 2nd order (too bad I don't remember the name sorry!) served with lots of onions yum!

All in all, the food here is cooked with great quality. This particular branch in Makati, Glorietta 3 to be exact is a very tidy place. The owner is hands on even asking customers how they like their food cooked. I wish we ordered some more but we were pressed for time so til next review!

New Bombay has always been our favorite restaurant and since we haven't eaten there in a while, we decided to order more than our usual fare ;)
My all time fave is tha palak paneer and we also got chicken tikka masala and shrimp biryani. We also got an order of cheese naan hadji was really good. We decided to get one more dish and we tried the chicken curry which was good too.
If you're a newbie to Indian food, new Bombay is a great intro to this amazing cuisine.

My 2nd time to eat in New Bombay. This time in their Glorietta 3 branch. I like how the taste has been consistent. Their palak paneer is a must try! I just love Indian cuisine!!! 128522
