It was my first time to eat a standard indian lunch. I was aiming to eat in this restaurant since last year but we don't have any chance to dine in there podium branch. But last sunday we had a chance try the food thanks to Glorieta's food court I saw there booth. At first I was hesitant to buy since I saw the platter that it seems like I will just eat a puree of curry bits but I was wrong. I ordered Motton Curry and Vegetable Samosa and it they did not disappoint me hence I was so suprise and super excited since I will then going to eat indian curry. The meal cost me php 200 it consist of 1 bowl of curry, a cup of yellow rice, naan bread and a small cup of ice tea. I ordered the mild level for spiciness since that was the recommendation of the staff and she's right it was indeed a hearty food and super delicious. My mouth is starting to drool because of this story I can't forget the curry I ate.

And so when I eat alone, for some reason I keep going back to this place. Not a lot who line up but those who know, it is a rare gem. With stainless steel plates and bowls, to its old and shabby looking stall, it is the only place at Food Choices Glorietta that doesn't boast of a striking menu board or care if their food presention is attractive to a foodie like me. What they boast is a robust of indian flavors and spices that are authentic. For my comfort food today, I'm having Mushroom Cheese Masala with turmeric rice and a piece of chapatti. My favorite green chutney is not available so I am settling for the first time with red tamarind sauce on the side.

I love their paneer here! I enjoyed everything here. Even the eggplant thing we got, it was surprisingly delicious. It's just a shame they don't serve roti's 128542. Would have really went well with it. The mutton was a little to gamey though. We couldn't help but doubt if it was actually mutton or goat. 128534. The butter chicken is good but not close to Queen's. I enjoyed my usual strawberry yogurt, though I had to ask for some more ice bec it was a bit warm when it was served. As for the cheese naan, remind them not to pack it with too much cheese bec it gets a little to salty since they're using cheddar, the "kraft" kind. So.. Yes it will go with a red sauce base but a little too much. Even on it's own. Get the chicken biryani. It's like one dish already! Lol. I think this would be a decent place if you're up for some indian cuisine and wouldn't want to shell out much. The servings are good for two or three btw 128522

Always my first pick whenever I crave for Indian food. Chicken Biryani and Chapatti FTW! Wish they serve Chicken Tikka Masala though.

Napadpad sa food court. What to eat? Tried these dishes and liked it 128077128523
Chicken Biryani - malasa but no umay factor, will order next time but will try w/ shrimp instead of chicken.
Chicken Samosa - I liked the dips that came w/ it esp the sweet red one. The chicken filling was on the dry side, will try the vegetable samosas next time
Mushroom Masala- a good deal, for P195 the dish came w/ rice, a piece of chapati and iced tea. I didn't miss the meat w/ the mushroom and was that tofu or vegemeat in the mix too?The timpla was missing something, either it needs more gata or maybe more curry. Its not Swagat standard pero pwede na for the price 128521

-1 11088️because of the presentation, the biryani rice was just piled onto the plate, hmmm taas ba ng expectation e nasa food court lang ako? Hehe! Basta I shall return! #oink 128055128540

I LOVE Indian food and New Bombay is a sure hit for me! 128525 I find comfort in Chicken Masala, Palak Paneer, Biryani, Vegetable Samosa with tamarind sauce, Rogan Josh and Lassi iof course! Whenever I crave and I'm in a tight budget, I always visit this place (Yes, over Swagat).

The palak paneer is de-lish! The food court stall is cheaper than the restaurant downstairs and offers set meals. Service is slow, but I guess the exercise in patience is worth it

I don't know if I also have Peanut D and Em D's habit of having dessert first...but I wanted food after the sinful Rogue gelato.

So, I was walking around in Glorietta with Dianne E and we were getting to know each other as well. Just like a first date. LOL

We went to the food court and I got excited when I saw New Bombay. I love Indian food and hadn't had it in a while. When we got to the counter, I saw their choices were rather limited. It was just a food court kiosk, after all. There was a selection of dishes already cooked. They just heat it up for you.

I decided to get some chicken curry and naan. The cashier suggested I get the non-vegetarian set meal so I wouldn't have to shell out extra for the naan. The meal came with a 12 oz iced tea. But I was thirsty and asked if I could upsize it and just pay extra. Much to my surprise, the lady smiled, shook her head and said she would just upsize it for free. That was really nice of her!128522

That wasn't the only surprise for the day, yo. When my order was served, it had only one piece of naan (the woman before me got 3 pieces. I don't know why I was expecting 3 as well. LOL). I was also disappointed to see rice on my plate.

See, I don't eat rice. I haven't eaten rice for most of my life, 25 years as a matter of fact.128514I asked the lady to remove it from my plate because I didn't want it to go to waste. She took it and disappeared for about 3 minutes. When she came back, ta-dah! I had another piece of naan on my plate! For free! Needless to say, I was very pleased.128077128077

The medium spicy curry was as good as I remembered. So was the naan. I happily ate my meal while chatting with Dianne. She has great timing with questions, though. She asks something just as you're taking a big bite.1285131285141285149786

Sorry, no pic. The food wasn't picture worthy. I checked it the looloo way, you know fork's eye view and all, but it didn't look nice on the camera. Maybe next time.

Oh and, till the next date, Dianne E!128075

Had chicken masala at New Bombay Glorietta Food Choices. It was so so. Chicken was dry, but what can you expect from a less expensive version? The dishes served in the New Bombay restaurants are much better, maybe that's why they are also more pricey.

I was looking for something new to try at the glorietta food court, and ive always seen new bombay there and was a bit curious so i decided that today was the day to try it out! And boy was i in for a treat!

I got their chicken something with spinach creamy sauce thing. (Okay sorry if this review doesnt really help because i dont remember the items i ordered haha). the chicken slices were spicy just itself, but their sauces just complements the chicken. I love the spinach cream topping the rice! Overall a good blend of diff flavors in one plate.

Will definitely be back!
