If you want a taste of southern french cuisine, you should head over to New Orleans and try their famous gumbos. They are good and all but a bit pricey for my taste. But again, if you like trying out new dishes, their dishes arent that bad. Just be ready with your wallet though. Hehehe

they didn't cook the tuna and steak according to our instructions. they were overcooked. the grape shake was mostly ice and sugar. the oysters rockefeller, blackened chicken, and dirty rice were delicious.

So i tried this restaurant way back many years ago in Bonifacio High Street and it really made me open my mind to this American style of cooking. Then finally about how many months ago they open one here in a pretty strategical spot in the new wing of Ayala Cebu.

So i go in with my friends on its first week of opening and it still looks like the one in Manila and especially with the girls who look like escorts, no offense. Probably just living up to the theme. Anyway we get this table beside the window with an awesome view of Cebu's mini-skyline. So we order and i get the Shrimp and Oyster Po' Boy that got me more excited. Then after a while my excitement ran out with how long the food took to serve. I was the last one to be served. The sandwich was nothing more than ordinary although the oysters we're very juicy and on point. The coleslaw didn't taste that good and the shrimps we're just ordinary. And to top it off, the bun had the consistency of a metal rod. The fries that came with it had some good flavor but we're soggy, possibly from the idleness at the window waiting to be served. I got to taste the others like the Buffalo wings, Beef tenderloin, nachos and a Rhythm something burger. They we're relatively okay and nothing really special with hefty prices. The cooking could use some improvement but i'm sure it's still undergoing that 'new restaurant, bad food' ritual. Hopefully a few months from now when i come back, they're gna be as awesome as their interiors.

We came here during their soft opening and the place wasn't really that packed. There were a couple of foreigners, as expected, in the crowd. It bothered me that most (if not all) of the waitresses were scantily clad. Cebu has very beautiful women and the restaurant doesn't need to dress up their waitresses with skimpy dresses to attract customers. Seriously. Isn't it a bit hard to wait on tables in such super short dresses and high heels? I'm knocking off a star just because of that.

We ordered Blackened Chicken and Everglades Jambalaya. It took them awhile to serve our food but it's ok. It was their soft opening anyway. But I wish they informed us whilst we were placing our orders that they have huge servings. 128542 Our plates came and they were HUGE. The Blackened Chicken is spicy and very flavorful. It has a deep and savory taste that I think will do well when paired with beer. The Everglades Jambalaya was loaded with seafood, chicken, sausage and Cajun spice. Both dishes were tasty and we enjoyed them. 128077 Only problem was, since servings were too big, we had to take home more than half(!) of each dish.

The staff placed our leftovers in spill proof microwaveable containers so by the time my boyfriend and I were hungry again we just nuked the leftovers and we were full again. 128517

What we love: Their flavorful dishes and festive ambience. 127882 Servers were polite and our leftovers were packed nicely.

What we hope they'll improve: The waitresses' uniforms 128542 Medyo distracting. Seryoso. Also, let diners know if their orders are for sharing. Our order can feed four people. 128107128107

I will definitely be back to try your other dishes and next time I won't be as forgiving. 128541 Bibigyan ko na ng jacket si Ate.
