This one's slowly becoming my comfort food!!! Niku-Q Yakitori is one of the several food stalls you can find in Kapitolyo Gastro Park.
This is 1 review for 2 visits. Hehe. Yakitori is the type of skewers I love the most because of the sweet bbq sauce that often comes with it. On my first visit, I tried one of their Meal Set Specials - the Asuparabekon + Quail Eggs for Php115 plus the Angus Steak (Php60). Aaaahhh. Served with rice, it's topped with sesame seeds and bbq sauce that was one of the best for me! The sauce may be too sweet for some, but I like it just the way it is. I loved the Asuparabekon most among the three. The asparagus wrapped inside the bacon gives crunch to every bite!!! The combinations was just perfect!!! Geeeeez, I wanna go there right now!
I quite didn't like the USDA Certified Steak so I gave it away to King Y. Haha! That's why I do not have the photo too. It tasted to meaty for me. I guess I'm just really after the BAE-con. Lol!!!
If you want it per stick, the price is from Php30 to Php60. Pretty cheap right? On my next visit, I promised myself that Iwill try the other stalls I haven't tried before, but I just couldn't help, but order the Yakitori Meal Set again! I felt guilty, yet there's absolutely no regret!
TIP: Go for the meal sets for you can save Php5. Haha. The rice is Php30 in most of the stalls if you order it separately. You can also requesr for extra sauce!
PS: I highly recommend the ASPARA-'BAE'-KON!!!

Next stop Niku-Q... For Php45.00 each 3 pieces per stick, we tried the Quail Eggs wrapped in Bacon Yakitori and Pork with Asparagus Yakitori after we finished all the Shrimps Tempura and Dynamite from Tokyo Tempura. Niku-Q offers affordable Japanese Yakitori to Gastro Park's customers.

We got invited to eat, drink, and be merry, for free, and have a taste of some of the offerings from the Gastro Park Kapitolyo establishments.
Niku-Q served us all three of their Pork Skewers:
Butabara (Pork Belly, PhP40/stick)
Asuparabekon (Pork with Asparagus, PhP45/stick)
Quail Eggs Wrapped with Bacon (PhP40/stick)
All 3 were good and had the same sauce. I'm not sure though if there are other options. PhP45 per stick, I think, is a little pricey given the quantity of meat on it. So it's not really very sulit. But they could be a very good pantawid-gutom.
They also have meals where the BBQs are served with rice.

Tried one of their meals a couple of days ago. Wanted to try their pork belly and Angus beef combo but the beef was out of stock so got the chicken thigh instead. For around 110+ (ugh bad memory), I thought it wasn't really worth it. Each stick was really thin and I was sort of expecting to get different glazes for each protein but got the same salty sweet thang. The thing was good but I think the pork belly was really tough. The sushi rice also didn't have the vinegar-sugar seasoning I learnt to expect from sushi rice. But will try out the other variants next time I'm in Gastropark, maybe the beef will change my mind.
