Was feeling under the weather last night so I thought of a place where they serve good old lugaw. First thing that came into mind, or saw rather, is North Park.

Sliced Tender Beef Congee - As expected with congees, it's up to you on how you want your congee to taste. Mine's with calamansi, soy sauce, and a little chili. The beef was tender but not that beefy as I would have liked. The chips included with the congee was very good. They did not turn into mush even when they were submerged in very hot congee. The chips in the congee was what made my meal ok.

Shanghai Spring Roll - It's like kikiam wrapped in lumpia wrapper with sesame seeds. The sauce provided carried this dish. I thought that I was only gonna get five small pieces, but as it turns out, those five were actually big and cut in half. Too full to eat them all so I had some packed to go.

I wanted soy chicken, but it's not available so I just settled with this Aniseed Beef Tendon. It was just ok. I wasn't able to finish 1 cup of rice, which was served with it.

House tea was served after.

Wow, I haven't been to North Park in a long time. I had the Light size of the Nanking Beef Noodle Soup and it was just enough for me. You can choose the type of noodle that goes in your soup and I chose Hong Kong noodles. Some of the beef were a bit tough but whole thing was tasty. 128076

It's been a while since I last ate here. Last Saturday, I decided to drop by again for lunch 128522 however, the quality was really bad!!

I've always loved their lemonade, but it was simply lemon infused water with sugar 128532 and the lapu-lapu fillet congee was bland and had only a piece of fillet!! 128530 boo!

I'd give 4 stars for their noodles and dumplings..
Everything else falls flat..

Nothing special with lechon macau
Nothing special with the service
Generous servings though

"It was okay"
The rating says it all 128556

Ate dinner here last night, at around 8 PM. I was excited because I haven't eaten at North Park in a while, but sadly when we got there, no one "welcomed" us and lead us to our seats. It was only when we got to our seat that someone went to us and seated us.

Then one waitress told us to go to the other side because they were already sanitizing our side, which was annoying. And then, nobody was getting our order first; if it weren't for my mom constantly asking for them to ask for our order I think we would've walked out already.

It felt like everyone was drained already. Except for their lady guard, who was seating the new customers, attended to us when we asked for our bill—things that aren't in her job description, but she did it anyway and I appreciate her for that. 9786

My mom said that it was night time already and that's why the service is like that there. That shouldn't be an excuse, but I understand that they'd had a long day. But I hope next time it wouldn't happen anymore, because the food is still good. Ate their Pinsek Prito for the first time—it's really good with the sauce. Their Yang Chow doesn't taste the same anymore, though, and I was disappointed because of course that's what I was looking forward to 128532

Had lunch at North Park yesterday with a group of people. We ordered their set meal for a group of 10. I hadn't been to North Park in a while, it's actually been years since I ate there and every time I go I always order the same thing - garlic squid, steamed broccoli and yang chow fried rice. I was pleasantly surprised. There were a lot of changes starting with the menu - not the Chinese resto standard anymore - you know, where you order by number - it's actually an honest to goodness decent three-fold menu with nice pictures and a good layout. Next surprise was the food starting with the yang chow fried rice. It's not greasy anymore. The oil content has considerably lessened. Also the MSG taste has gone, and it's just good Chinese flavor all throughout. Everything that I ate was excellent: sweet and sour fish, orange chicken, fried chicken, steamed broccoli with beef and chow mien. It's good to see North Park improving on food quality.

I eat lunch here whenever I wanna reward myself from a stressful morning at work.

This is what I always order. Toasted noodles. That's all. Most of the people find me weird. But yesterday I saw the other tables having the same thing. Hehe

I eat at San Agustin St in Makati. There are many waiters so they're very attentive. But the place is kinda dirty. With sticky floors. Understandable though because it's always full.

Try it. 128523

Last time i went to north park was almost 9 years ago so idecided to eat here again and enjoy the taste. Apparently yang chow fried rice doesnt taste the same anymore. To be honest that is one of their best sellers and consistency is an important factor. Service was great and the place was neat. Parking is horrible due to lack of it
