This review is dedicated to the regulars or the usual, places. I'm talking about fast food, restos with multiple branches and outright classics.

I'm talking about North Park, one of my all time favorite tea house resto's.

After a nice time watching Rak of Aegis in PETA Theater, my wife and her friends were craving for good ol' North Park. I thought the closest branches would be Banawe or P Guevarra. Boy was I wrong. There are two North Park's just a km away, one near Morato and one on G Araneta Ave. Wow, I'm so unfamiliar with how NP has further branched out! Cool.

So we headed to the one off Tomas Morato, along Sct. Lazcano. It was the former Katre resto, I think. It was 11pm but it was still open (and they're open until 3am which is good for party people or BPO people in the area).

Whenever my wife and I are in North Park, at minimum we order Salted Fish & Chicken Fried Rice and Salted Garlic Squid. Tonight, we added another classic dish, 3 kinds of mushroom with broccoli flower in oyster sauce, and added boneless crispy chicken.

Seldom does their rice and squid disappoint me. This night was no exception. With that vinegar dipping sauce, their salted garlic squid is superb. Crunchy, salt and pepper spice and green pepper, their squid is very soft. The flavor is the salted fish and chicken fried rice was great in a salty way. The crispy boneless chicken was good but since it was breaded and had the same dipping sauce as the squid, it had difficulty being distinguished from the squid. So I requested for sweet and sour sauce to work with the chicken instead. Worked. You can ask for hoisin or their XO sauce as alternatives. The mushrooms were good, too, though I'd prefer their mushroom with crispy beancurd skin for texture.

Had fried bread for dessert which is still pretty darned good. The 2/F was the main dining area and was quite roomy. Their revamped interior decor was applied already so this looks pretty recent. Sad to see Katre go, but this was quite a nice thing to have a neighborhood North Park for the Diliman / Morato people.

Chinese food take out! 127836 I love the fact that they deliver and they are open until 1am plus.... It's just at the back of my boyfriend's house so it's super convenient which is why we love this branch.

The service is great! The staff doesn't mind even if some customers order like a few minutes before closing time. They are very accommodating.

We always love eating at North Park because they have solo servings and servings for sharing so it's very easy to order food when it comes to it's quantity. The prices are very reasonable for a shala chinese restaurant/fastfood. Their Wanton Noodles Soup costs only 108/solo and 143/regular(sharing). Dumplings, Chicken Feet and other side orders range from 50-100. The drinks costs the same range.

I love how you could choose your own kind of noodles but I usually choose Hongkong Noodles. Their wanton dumplings are huge! I love how their food tastes like legit chinese food which is why I always come back at this place. This is my go to restaurant when I'm pms-ing or whenever I want to grab some quick tasty comfort food. You can never go wrong with chinese food. #12days

A waste of time & money!128527

Craved for sum steamed veggies and hakaw, and since it was late, we stopped by north park for some late night snackin' (yep you read it right! Snackin')128540

Ordered steamed brocolli flowers with oyster and hakaw! The one's in the photo are the actual pic of what I ordered, so here it is, brocolli was literally blanched then poured oyster sauce and was blant!128541 hakaw's wrapper was dry which means it's been in the steamer for a loooong time, the shrimp in it was tough too128530

North Park's food is comforting. I had to admit that aside from their lechon macau (in pic) I like a lot from their menu: prinsec prito, crunchy noodles, soy milk, yang chow, etc. The bonus is: they have promos in deal grocer (P500 worth of food for P300). 9996🏻️128076🏻128513

Ambiance: 4/5 - clean and secluded place

North Park never fails to amaze me with their super delicious food!

Ordered their Ultimate Noodles. Good for 2-3pax dried noodles with dimsum, beef, mushrooms, pork skin for only P254! Super sulit! Ate here after gym with Jaymar and of course, present in our orders is our favorite Fried Beancurd Skin with Shiitake Mushroom in Oyster Sauce! Super addicting (yeah and now as I write this review I'm drooling for it again!). We also ordered Chicken Feet since it's one of my signature orders in Chinese food chains.

Although pricey, North Park's dishes never fail your taste. Super delicious food with the just amount of saltiness. And before I forget, did I mention how tasteful their appetizer soup is? Yum!

I love North Park as it offers affordable and tasty Chinese food for delivery and/or late at night. This restaurant usually satisfies my midnight/almost midnight craving for Chinese food! You can go here for dine in and/or can just have the food delivered to your place!

If you dine in, service is quick and efficient. By the way, you can get free soup whether you order for dine in or take out!

My boyfriend loves the soy chicken, which already comes with rice. It's a generous serving and costs around (Php150.00)

We both love the fried beancurd skin with shiitake mushrooms in oyster sauce! It's delicious and it is served with lots of mushrooms. I do wish that the mushrooms were sliced smaller but other than that, this dish is perfect! It costs (Pho137.00)

We also love the Special Toasted Noodles (Pho273.00)! These are toasted noodles with sauce that you put over it. We suggest that you do not mix everything right away so that the noodles won't get soggy. It is good for 4 persons. The sauce contains vegetables, shrimp, mushrooms, and fish fillet, among others. It is one of our favorites! When you order it take out, they place the noodles in this pizza box-like container so as not to ruin the noodles!

The beef with broccoli here isn't that great. It's okay but we do not recommend ordering that here. The beef parts aren't that good.

The Manchurian Calamares (Pho229.00) tastes a little like curry. If you like curry then you should try this.

We didn't like the salt and pepper squid because the squid was not fresh. It was processed squid.

We like the nanking beef and the aniseed beef tenderloin noodle soups. Light orders cost around Php137-147. Causeway noodles soups are still better for us but we still like their noodle soups.

Their salt and pepper spare ribs are also delicious and very flavorful.

We also like the pinsec frito (Php93.00 for 4 pieces). These are fried meat dumplings. They are delicious and affordable.

Overall, we like this place as it is our go to place for Chinese food (whether late night and/or for deliveries, or otherwise)! Service is always quick and efficient, price is affordable and food tastes good! 128522

What is happening, North Park? I used to enjoy most dishes in North Park but my last 2 visits have been a disappointment. Today, I had Pork Rib & Fresh Prawn Dumplings noodle soup. The dumplings were not fresh and the broth was salty. I also ordered buchi balls and they were old.

Went out with Yanna B and Choy to catch up at North Park, as per recommendation of Choi.

North Park surprised me with their wide variety of food. The ambiance is nice and homey and I like how it's not crowded at all.

Anyway, onto the food.. Since our friend Choi brought us here, we gave the "choose our food because you know what's good here" card on him. Which i'm so glad we did because I liked everything that he ordered for us!! Pretty sure i'll come back here again :-)

We came from a very bad ball game, la cbf, jbabes and me. So we decice to eat our sorrows away. And North Park was the best idea ever. Shanghai Fried Rice was soo good, as well as the Lechon Macau. The Centure Egg however tasted a bit weird so we asked the server to give us another, and she did. The noodles, I forgot the name, too watery and bland. But we finished it all just coz we are depressed. And for the servers, try smiling. :)

Lechon Macau for the win!!!
Cheat day muna coz I couldn't resist this cholesterol-filled Chinese goodness.

I also loved their congee. One of the best and authentic congee for me. Way way better than King's chef (Lucky China Town branch) which was a big big disappointment when we last ordered their congee.

Nursing my colds, flu & fever with this superior crystal prawn w/ shitake mushrooms congee. Was surprised that the serving now is uber small for regular order at Php223.00. Only got 2 uber medium shrimp, w/c isn't even 'prawns'! And 2 pcs pretenders if shitake! The congee we get at P. Guevarra, SJ is much better quality prawns & mushrooms! No leeks, too!!!! Waaaaa!!!! 128553128078

Northpark used to be my fave Chinese Resto. Few days ago with my friend couple, we were looking for a place to eat after clubbing in Cable car. We suddenly saw this branch and happy to endorsed them "uy, masarap jan.!" Since it was also open that was around 1am ata natuwa kami and off we go.

They didn't know what to order and so they get what hubby and I ordered...Aniseed Beef Tendon Noodles (Dry Noodles!) Yeah, it says dry....but Man, they cannot fool us! Hubby and I had this for many times already!!!!
It costs almost 200/plate, we ordered 2. And the food came in like that!!!!( bottom picture!)
It was served cold!!! Really?!?!?!?!?! 128170128545128545128545 Then we asked the waiter bakit malamig? so they brought it in and then we realized nga na dry sya...dry, dry, dry, dry!!!! till sa ilalim part nya grabe! And tastes so bland!!! BOO!!128121

The top picture was my picture few months ago in other branch! It was moist, hot, with Bochoy not Cabbage and FILLED with sauce....lumalangoy!!!

Sa sobrang asar ko..i talked to one of the waiters sa counter...which is just behind the kitchen (i made sure nadidinig ako ng Chef!) And i said....pakisabi naman sa Cook nyo na baka inaantok na sya! Id want you to tell him na hindi namin first time kumain sa Northpark at madaming beses na esp having this order! Tell him na alam namin hindi iyan ang standard ng Tendon Noodles nila! Walang sauce? Ano yan, instant Noodles!? Sabihin mo we were sooooooo disappointed!!!!!!128545

The food tastes okay. The problem I have with North Park is its a bit pricey. I can go to much cheaper Chinese restaurants that have tastier food.
