Decided to have a much deserved quiet dinner so I suggested Nostalgia, as I remember the time we had our valentines dinner here. 10084

Soup of the day was Potato leek soup snd it tasted as I expected so that's a ✔️. For our main course, we ordered and shared on a 250 gram rib eye with peppercorn sauce and mashed potato that also tasted as expected.

Finally, we ordered Chocolate lava cake bestseller and oh boy that was sinful! 128523

The waiters are super attentive!!! love the ambience! #76thmonthsary

Had lunch buffet here. Salad selection is very good- goat cheese, pomelo, mango salsa, fresh crisp vegies, variety of salad dressings.

Main course special is lechon kawali, it was ok. The other main courses were just ok. Dessert selection was just ok, fruits were really sweet and juicy.

Iced tea that came with the buffet was too sweet.

What i didnt like was the service. Under- manned.

Their Cafe Americano was good.

It's a good thing my friend Edroy works at Oakwood. I discovered their value for money buffet at lunch. Today I got to feast on their Indonesian Festival. It taste like you're in their country. They also serve enough choices for appetizer and desserts. Not bad for less than 1k.

Does not measure up with breakfast buffets offered by other hotels. Lack of variety in food choices which include the staples. Serves food more fit for lunch than breakfast. Has lots of room for improvement.

One of my aunts threw a big party a while back at Oakroom's restaurant. It was quite a big bash and I counted about 60 people. We were told before hand that it would be buffet style dining but not having eaten there I did not know what to expect.

Turns out Oakwood's buffet offered more western than intercontinental fare. There were salads, pastas, fried chicken, ribs and roasts. But what made this buffet stand out was their cronut selection. There were cronuts at the appetizer station then again at the entree station and then again at the dessert station.

As an appetizer, they served the cronut all ready to eat. They were garnished and each had specific savory fillings. At the next section stood a tower of plain cronuts. Next to that is a selection of fillings such as hamburger patties, sausages, tuna and even foie gras! Once you decide which filling you want the chefs behind the counter will then cook it for you. I for example chose the foie gras as pictured above.

Over all the food was above average. But the sheer experience and novelty of the buffet was certainly something. Service and ambiance was also top notch. I certainly had a great time 128522

Got invited for dinner at Oakroom. Had their rib eye steak (in picture). The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked to my preference!

We had a small private room to ourselves; and though the doors were closed, the waiters were still very attentive.

Everything was first class from the service to the dinnerware to the table linen and to the food itself.

As is to be expected of classy restaurants, their prices were pretty steep, though maybe more reasonable relative to their peers.

loved the rich, classy interiors of this resto and the couch seating. located at the 6th floor of oakwood hotel. the lunch buffet is priced at only p1,200.++ and offers sufficient variety. hubby partook of the buffet offering while i ordered hainanese chicken from the a la carte menu and costs about p700. net. the chicken is big enough for 2 but was just ok. nothing spectacular in terms of taste. hubby enjoyed the buffet esp. the baked fish. the buffet's dessert line was really good, yummy pieces. ice cream was yummy too. yup, i was tasting the food my hubby gets from the buffet hehehe oh, service needs a lot of improvement. alll told, what i like most about this place is the 5-star hotel ambiance.

Bosses treated us to dinner by having food from the Oakroom delivered. We were super happy since it would be our first time to try their food. Well. Hmm.. Let's just say I've had WAAAY better food from other less expensive hotel restaurants.

The pizza wasn't anything special, the calamares were tough, and the quesadillas weren't that good either.

Good thing I never bought (though I've considered it) Oakroom vouchers from Deal Grocer.
