I had the chance to stay at Novotel a few months ago for a learning conference. It was my first time at Novotel and I had no expectations at all.

Checking in was a breeze... Probably because I was late. I thought the room was very bright and modern, but I didn't have a chance to enjoy it that afternoon.

The conference was held at the ballroom and spanned across their meeting rooms as well. The ballroom was simple but good enough for a business meeting/convention. Right off the bat, I didn't think it would be fit for a personal affair, like a wedding or a debut. Then again stylists these days can work magic. I guess it's because it was missing huge chandeliers, which I feel sets the mood. It felt very modern for my taste. The meeting rooms seemed sufficient and were very comfortable.

The food they served throughout the conference was pretty good. The paninis were great for a snack. The buffet dinner was also delicious. Since we occupied the entire ballroom, the buffet was set-up outside. But the layout still made sense and the staff were super friendly. The chefs were encouraging us to try their favorite dishes; I thought that was great!128522Separate review for the breakfast buffet.

My fiancé followed after his work. He mostly hung out at the room, watching cable on the big screen TV. He really liked the bed, he didn't want to move after lying down apparently. I have to agree, the sheets were very nice. The bathroom had a very different layout-- with a separate toilet and shower, connected by the sink area. It was the door that was weird. Anyway, the shower has a cool glass wall that becomes frosted with a click of a button. Try not to press the button 100x...128556

Since it's a relatively new hotel, everything was state of the art. Carpets were plush, bathrobes & towels were fluffy, and there were lots of sockets for charging! Wifi was excellent, so download away! We didn't get to enjoy the pool, save for a quick peek at night and again in the morning. It was very inviting though, so maybe next time.

Though everything was nice, we found it a bit too contemporary in design. My fiancé actually described it as too avant garde. They use bright colors in the rooms and sleek furniture. It reminded me of Ibis hotel in Singapore, in terms of design. I still prefer classics, but that's just my personal aesthetic. Plus the view from the window kinda sucks. Location is great though, just walking distance to Araneta Coliseum and Gateway Mall. MRT is also very accessible.

Whatever your purpose may be, I still think this is a lovely choice of hotel.

Safety concerns –
It seems this hotel is more concerned with their profit margins than the safety of their guests. The staff is not well trained and wait for management to help them make decisions regarding guests issues. We had 6 guests staying at the hotel in 6 rooms, 3 rooms coordinate by me personally. Our of total of six rooms, the following concerns were raised to management:

1) Lax security procedures when entering hotel. Really a façade as they are not fully checking bags and cars as they should, more interested in other distractions available.
2) Failing to answer the phone calls to the operator and/or front desk – If an emergency, they would never know. This happened daily and causes great concern for my guests.
3) Seems like a lot of unpaid interns working in key positions of the hotel. While I love to see training, not at the expense of the guests’ experience and all interns really know how to say when there are issues are “I’m sorry” and then smile and/or set up a meeting with a mid-level manager, who then is not interested in helping if they feel they will have to give you something in consideration of bad experience.
4) Management that hide behind the “policy” to prevent making concessions when things don’t go right during a guests stay including:
a. Circuit breaker problem which caused guests power to not come on due to improper wiring it seems
b. Offers no concession when bookings are incorrect (dates, 3rd party adverse impact saying “you should have book with us directly as since you booked with 3rd party there is nothing we can do” even though it may or may not be your fault
c. Cold water in the shower that engineering doesn’t understand how to fix and having to get a more senior person (unpaid interns)
d. Valet procedures having interns drive your car that don’t even own their own car.
e. Room service food that looks like it has been left out/prepared in advance from their limited menu if you order at night past 12am.

What we were told was we are sorry on each situation. Sorry isn’t good enough when it comes to the safety and security of guests at your property. I’m happy to say our groups will not be staying at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center and not holding any events there for the safety of our clients.

Room Tip: Lots of inexperienced interns learning at this property so they can keep costs down it seems.

Oh if I can live here, I would. This place is magnificent. Every detail of this building inside and out is worth a pic, a trend and everything is just so beautiful. The foods here are perfect, fast service. I even appreciate their utensils and platings.

The prices are worth it. The rooms are clean, the bed is like heavenly soft with smelling good blankets. This is pure heaven. They have views of the city, it's amazing and romantic at night, even in the afternoon you can enjoy the people walking down the road, the clouds and this is so accessible with everything.

It's near the malls, ALL malls, SM, Rob, Ali Mall, Gateway and Shopwise, and Farmers. Like really choose, it's literally near really. This place is like the center of this small town now. The staffs are sooo nice, they gave us warm welcome smiles and entertaining us comfortably.

Sumkinduva quick notice that my BFF Clarie, and her kids, Sammie and Raffy would be in town, ( and my, they have grown so much since I last saw them ) not for a vacation but more of helping out her Papang & Mamang with some yearly missions up and about the city for a truly limited number of days.... Well as they say.......... at the end of the tunnel of the busy storm, there is always that bright light of lifestyle at the end...whether it a blast, or in a nutshell! Hehehehe 10084

Having said we managed to squeeze a bit of relaxation in the all new Novotel Araneta Manila for a sort of quick breather for Clarie and her family! Together with her BFF / OC Roomies, Bff PrettyNikka and me 10084️ my Accor Advantage was really put to the test with our fuss-free stay that was well taken care of with priority, and we got rates with a great lifestyler deal 10084️ and surprisingly our 2 nights staycation was simply Amazing!

Though I got a bit sad for a moment that the Araneta Dome is now covered and surrounded by tall buildings it was also great to discover that Cubao is again evolving and slowly regaining its once vibrant commercial life with new developments at that....with the opening of the international hospitality brand Novotel in Araneta Cubao, I think it will do its justice partly in slowly bringing back the area's commercial legacy.128522

Despite its reputation as a midscale establishment, I think it has the potential to be an upscale hospitality institution....the convenience of location and proximity to commercial shops, services and transportation terminals further makes it an ideal accomodation in QC 10084️ the modernity of its interiors all throughout are just, in the now! To have sprung up like this at the heart of QC really gives the area a new life :)

From the exteriors to the lobby up to the bedroom suite I was just blown away by the experience of streamline hospitality, loving every detail and subtle hues which enhanced our relaxation mood and let us forget about the stress 128522

And have we talked about late night lifestyle? The pool bar stays up till 3am! 100841008410084️ ( oh they also have a gym! ) And The Food Exchange's Buffet Breakfast was truly satisfying and worth it :)

Before everything else, the weekend went by so fast and it was already time to bid farewell as Papang & Mamang return to the land of the brave and free, while Clarie, Sam & Raffy flies back to the Land Down Under ;) awww so happy to be with you guys....we will miss you again.... See you in the next lifrstyle adventure who knows we might be back here....soon! hehehehe 10084128522

Discovered Manila's Newest Luxury Hotel. Located at the heart of Araneta Center beside Gateway mall. This hotel has a very nice strategic location. Near to malls, restaurants etc.

Went here last May 15 Sunday afternoon. It's a 4 star hotel that offers 401 stylish rooms. From the lobby you will see their colorful chandeliers, Modern chairs and furnitures. The security here is tight and staffs were friendly and accommodating. I've got to enjoy the wifi here. We went to their Gourmet bar that offers a mouth watering ice cream that you will never forget.

Some of the beauty pageant guests usually stay here, looking forward to try their accommodation next time.

Finally a nice place to hang out in the Cubao area. The place is not as fancy as the other 5 stars in the Metro but is decent enough to while away the time or to meet with friends and business associates.

I was able to sample the pizza lungga bresaula at the poolside coffeeshop and it was good. It was actually more like a pannini with mozzarella, air dried beef, parmesan flakes and aurugula. The saltiness of the beef and cheese goes well with the earthy aromatic taste of the leaves. Add a little tabasco sauce, and you've got perfection. At P280.00 only, you get to enjoy 8 slices of it.

Time to try the accomodations next time.

Birthday is buffet Day! Yehey! 128522

Me and my officemates got to try the buffet of Novotel Hotel at Araneta Center, Cubao. Thanks for the metrodeal voucher, I saved atleast Php500 per pax 128513 128513

Their food is so delicious! 128525 I love the ambiance, it's interiors, and the foods! 128525128525 I like it more, than four seasons buffet.

During our visit, there's a photoshoot ongoing featuring their filipino-inspired dishes for the upcoming Independence day! 🇵🇭 So, i also grab the chance to snap a photo of their food samples.

I will definitely be going back to this place. Btw, their room rates starts Php6k++ for a deluxe room (forgot the exact amount).

As for the food, their regular price for Weekdays Lunch is 1,288 and I guess, their food justifies the price 128077🏻

I had minimum expectations when I booked this hotel. But the lobby is very nice for a Novotel. What I love about it is the family oriented atmosphere, they have children's area around the lobby.. The pool was bigger than I expected with a nice waterfall.
The room was spacious and the modern design was very functional. I love that they gave us the lower floor with a view of the pool, so we could watch kids from the window.
Breakfast was superb, again for a Novotel I am surprised to have a lot of choices, my hubby loved the "pares" Novotel style. And they allow kids up to 15 years old to dine for free!
As long as you do not expect 5-star service then you will be pleasantly surprised by Novotel. Havin said that, they should provide better service in the restaurants, the waitresses are not attentive, they fogot our orders, my hubby ordered for another bottle of beer and it took them more than 30mins to serve it, but we saw them just chatting in a corner.

The place is the best, high maintenance service and you can compare it with high-end hotels too. It's simple and yet extravagant. Everything smells good, the room, hallway, the service is warm and nice. The food is only meh, it's yummy but it's too expensive for ordinary foods, like if they will make the foods ordinary they should lower the prices to math the quality and quantity of it. But over all my stay is okay, it was like heave. Near malls, no traffic, no dirty edsa.

Great hotel! Modern room. Space saving furnitures and fixtures.. Very comfy bed, pillows and blanket.. Love their automatic blinds in the CR. Kids friendly hotel coz they have a play area in the lobby, kiddie pool and gymboree on the 6th floor. Great location coz it's very near SM, Ali Mall, Gateway and Shopwise. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Simply love this newly opened 4 127775 hotel which had their Grand Opening only last March 2016.

Newly opened hotel in Cubao.

Spending 3 business days here for a conference but not checked-in so I have no idea how the rooms look like 128514

This rating is for the hotel facilities, buffet food, parking and service.

Facilities and location 11088110881108811088
- Good location because it's easily accessible via EDSA. Only concern would be if Christmas traffic begins, as this hotel is right smack in Cubao.

Parking 11088110881108811088
- Ample parking space

Buffet food 1108811088
- Had a disappointing lunch yesterday. Wide spread but didn't seem appetizing. Was actually disappointed. Also with the service because they seem not yet ready for our big group of 100 pax. Service was slow. Hoping that buffet today will be better though.
