Obando Fiesta is almost here! It's the time of the year (Month of May 17th-19th) that we celebrate it in my hometown. 128077

I attended a Baptism ceremony of my cousin's daughter last Sunday which i was one of the Godmothers. Around 1030 am when the Sunday Mass ended, a group of people headed in front while a speaker guides them and calls out their names. I came to know later that they were couples who wished to have children and will be the ones parading on the day of Obando Fiesta. Then after few minutes, they practiced the Fertility dance while in front in the tune of Sta Clara song..i dunno if you are all familiar with that, hmmm? :)
We all watched them while waiting for the Baptism that started at 1140am already.

I realized just now that i don't have a decent souvenir picture of the church in my hometown...Yes, i'm Bulakeña and proud growing up here along with my four siblings. 128522

I just took this pic from the net and gladly i found one taken from the inside. I have attended mass here a countless times and i attended the private school just beside this church during my early and middle school. 128525

Just so you know, this place has been visited by many foreigners and locals during the summer fiesta...In the month of May where we celebrate the three patrons which is known for granting couples with difficulty having a child.

I'll be going home soon with my family for All souls day. Hope you guys get to try to visit my hometown. 128521 Thanks!

The feast days are held for three consecutive days with street dancing: May 17 for St. Paschal, May 18 for St. Clare and May 19 for the Our Lady of Salambao.

Come and join the fun and be blessed at Obando Fertility Festival!

So, this church was actually re-painted for the coming feast, on May 17-19 if I am not mistaken. :) Wala just go there. It's really nice there.
