It was a few weeks back when my cousins and I decided to check out Empire Fashion Cafe at Lilac Street in Marikina. It was a night of checking out good deals in clothes, shoes, bags and accessories and we all know that we deserved a heavy meal after, even if it's already midnight time.
As I was craving for some Takoyaki Balls from Octoboy, we decided to go there even if I knew that the place is really small for a big group like us. We were seven in the group and it will be everyone's first time, except me, to try these Takoyaki that I've loved for quite a while now.
Before learning about Octoboy from my best friend Marqui S, I've been used to eating them at the usual stands found in food courts and train stations where I can usually have my quick cravings fix. When I got to taste Octoboy's version, my, my best friend was perfectly right! They have the best Takoyaki there is!
You will easily find the stall as it's located right beside Ersao Taiwanese Noodles. As they were sister companies, we were able to stay at the air-conditioned area of Ersao as Octoboy doesn't have one. They only have some chairs where you can wait and eat your orders but they don't have the usual dining area.
As always, I have developed a sense of fondness in their very cute, little Pacman looking character as the logo representation of Octoboy.
The stall was straightforward, simple and really casual. It's very small and tight looking but don't let the area hinder you from ordering dine-in or take-out takoyakis as you will definitely taste the best takoyaki in your life. Haha!
Three pieces of takoyaki cost 60php. Take it from me, don't let it get cold as you won't make the most out of the experience. Also, best eaten when freshly cooked, Octoboy's takoyakis are cooked really well. It was filled with fresh tasting vegetables and large sized octopus slices. You have the option to have it cooked to its utmost to achieve that crispness. The taste becomes even more delicious with the delicious and flavorful sauce plus the Japanese mayonnaise that was my favorite part in it.
As they only sell the takoyakis, you don't have to worry because you can order drinks like milked teas and fruit shakes from their sister company, Ersao Taiwanese Noodles, where you can also hang-out afterwards.

This cute, little Pacman looking character is the logo representation of Octoboy, my new favorite Takoyaki joint. Yes, better late than never!
It was only this Wednesday when I got the chance to taste their precious Takoyaki. My best friend Marqui S has been raving about the goodness of their Takoyaki for the longest time already and it was only this week when we were at Lilac when we decided to order take away Takoyako from the Octoboy stall there.
The stall was straightforward, simple and really casual. Despite its smallness, a lot of people frequent the place because their Takoyaki tastes really well! 3 pieces cost 60php. Best eaten when freshly cooked, it's cooked really well, filled with fresh tasting veggies and large sized octopus slices, the taste is enhanced with the delicious and flavorful sauce plus the Japanese mayonnaise that was my favorite part in it.
I WILL SURELY TRY MORE AND MORE OF THEIR TAKOYAKI, that's a certainty!
