So my friends and I were craving for something japanese and at random we picked okiniiri since the restaurat was neither full nor crowded unlike the Sensei sushi bar nearby. (We actually wanted to eat there first but we just couldn't wait.)
We didn't want to risk getting the buffet if we do not get what we paid for so we ordered from their menu.
May I just say, there is nothing special about their ingredients. If you're looking for Japanese food, it's not the go-to. I wasn't even able to finish my bibimba don/rice topped with egg vegetables and ground beef (whuutt??). It was no where near satisfaction. #sorrynotsorry
However, kudos to their service and ambiance though. Two gold stars for that.

Btw, this place has moved to Tropical Ave near BF Intl.
We got a couple of vouchers from metro deal for their eat all you can yakiniku and shabu shabu a couple of months ago and almost forgot about them!
I think it was PHP350ea so sulit narin. We were led to a traditional yakiniku table where we had to take off our shoes. The server was courteous and brought all of the meat and shabu shabu stuff to the table. She explained the sauces etc. I requested for some sesame oil and she gave that too hehe.
We ordered off the menu to try their other stuff, we got (as always) salmon sashimi and the cordon bleu roll.
The server cooked all of the meat (so no work for us) and was very polite. Food was good although I'm not really a fan of shabu so I just ate the meat. Salmon sashimi was nice and fresh. The rolls were huge! I guess we'll be coming back here for a reasonably priced Japanese meal 128522

My highschool friends and I wanted to have our friend's despedida party in a Japanese restaurant. So we went searching the net for the place to be. We found this resto in Aguirre Ave.in BF Pque across Tides, and we were glad to know that they offer buffet Japanese recipes! So we ate all the yakiniku, sukiyaki, maki, sashimi, tempuras and the desserts we can! Plus, the place is very cozy and true to their Japanese origin. Dim lights, low tables, jazz music in the background and their ladies-in-waiting in full glory of their kimonos 128522

One thing though, after I ate the yakiniku and the vegetable tempura, I felt a bit sleepy and groggy. Maybe I was just tired, but since all of us were having the same feeling (well we all ate the same things), I think there's a lot of MSG in some of their food. Then for every person only 5 pcs of sashimi are unlimited, the drinks, excluding the Japanese iced tea, were sold separately. But well, nothing else seemed wrong after all those, and we all got our fill of almost everything that were placed in their buffet table at Php 450 per pax.

The experience was not that bad after all. Mostly because I am in the company of people whom I'm very comfortable with, for 15 years and counting. 128522

Not a fan. Tried the buffet and everything was cold and underseasoned. The tempura and karaage weren't crispy, the shogayaki was an off-color, the gyoza and korokke tasted old... I could go on, really. Also minus points for the way many of the plates weren't washed properly--the dishes smelled and tasted like soap! Not coming back here, ever!

price and service is worth it. I was not too crazy about the actual dishes on the buffer but the salmon sashimi, maki and sukiyaki are worth the time and price. The servers are also subtle yet attentive.
