Sangria + Mexican Platter

I loved their sangria! If only i could finish 1 pitcher of it, i would have. It kinda makes you tipsy after just a glass since i'm not much of a heavy drinker. But i suggest you try it out. The Mexican platter though is just ok. It had burritos, tacos and nachos. To be honest, it all tastes the same. It had lotsa cheese and not enough spices to really have that distinct flavor to each dish. Although i was intrigued by the different paellas in the menu, and those being served at the other tables, i have yet to try that out. But overall, i didn't exactly enjoy the platter, but at least i enjoyed the sangria. I would try their paella next time i visit. 128522

We didn't like anything from this restaurant. We were a big group of 11, kids included. The paella negra was the worst I've had. Tasteless and bland. The Cuban sandwich that appears here was okay but the bread was so dry. The salad--- omg we had to call it onion salad because it was mostly onion slices! The lettuce they used was the round one that you usually put in cheap hamburgers. The nachos were forgettable.

Definitely never going back! Worst restaurant I've eaten at while vacationing in Boracay.

Ordered this Vegan Dish (290php) with chick peas, carrots, mushrooms, and beans. The texture of the veggies was OK but there's nothing so new and different about it.

Tried their Fajitas and it's a better choice compared to this one that I ordered.

Last Feb 14 Valentines Day, we decided to go our from Shangrila Resort & Spa Boracay to explore the White Beach and have some pasalubong shopping for our relatives.

Good thing Shangri-La offers free shuttle service at D''Mall. Instead of having a fancy dinner at Shangrila we decided to used the money for the pasalubongs, practical wise.

We were so tired roaming around then got hungry and with so many restaurants to choose from we had a hard time to choose and end up with OLE! Spanish, Mexican and Cuban Restaurant. Hubby is craving for Mexican food while the rest of us are not .

The place is a bit high end here and the resto was full , pangalawang balik kmi before we finally got seats . Hubby and my daughter Adelheid L both got burrito while me I got the Thermidor Prawns. I'm craving for it. Hubby and my daughter was lucky that the burrito was good and has generous serving, while me got huge prawns , at first it was good but because there was a lot mayonnaise or dressing put on it sobrang nakakaumay at di ko na maubos sa busog , it taste good naman but I just want to taste the normal prawn Thermidor that I am eating here in Manila, this one is different among the Thermidor I've tasted . Then my son wants fish fillet because he wasn't eating this kind of food then we were surprise it was not the fish fillet that we expect, it has a tomato sauce and my son didn't like it , he just want a crispy fish fillet with dip. Then mom ordered veggie with a huge serving but she doesn't like the taste too.

Service was a bit slow and the price per food is 500, how I wish we tried other resto there, it's too expensive and only hubby enjoyed the food

This place never runs out of people. That's a good thing. Food will always be fresh, it also means the food is fab.

Ever since I set foot in Boracay, I have always passed by this place and I don't recall this not being packed full, so I've always wondered how good the food was.

One night, we headed towards it for some spanish dinner. We ordered the Spicy Chicken Wings (I saw a guy devouring a plate of it so ginaya ko coz he looked like he was really enjoying it 128513), and then of course i just had to try their Paella Valenciana.

The spicy chicken wings were really spicy but still crispy even if it's bathed in sauce. I also loved the dip that came with it. An awesome balance of sour-salty-savory goodness. Size of each piece was large too, didn't look like the chicken was on a diet. 128077

The Paella Valenciana was sticky and heavy. But was really good most especially the burnt, crispy parts (those are the best!). It didn't have ingredients as generously-laden as the one in Cocina ni Tita Moning but it was divine nonetheless. The squid was not too fresh though.

Both servings were quite hefty and price was pretty much reasonable for the amount of food served to you. Service was good too. Everybody was happy, but then I guess that's because we're in Boracay. 128522

The restaurant is set for foreigners and families, not so much for a group of friends with a tight budget (unless you know what to do there). Ole has this agenda of giving you their international menu, but not the Filipino menu.

I, myself, being a Filipino cuisine lover, had to try it out. Just take note that their servings are good for 2-3 people (Filipino Menu) even if their prices are really low! Their food is really good compared to the others in Boracay with such expensive prices.

The next time I would go back to Boracay (with a tight budget), Ole is a sure restaurant I'd come back to!

Late night in Borcay and all you can think about is to cap your day after all the partying with a nice meal. There's only 3 Restos that can satisfy that craving that is open 24hrs in boracay, Jammers, Andoks and Ole. We ended up going to Ole as we wanted to try their Paella.

Food was okay. Lamb chops were a little over cooked even if we requested for it to be medium. Paella was supposedly good for two but I think it can be shared by 3-4 persons.

But overall, still satisfied my craving for a decent meal, so that explains the 3 stars.

Spanish resto calls for Paella of course. Ordered Paella Negra. Had to wait for about 45 minutes but it was so worth the wait. Flavor was bursting with squid, rice was perfect with chunks of squid and chicken. Portions are huge too, ordered good for 2, they gave us good for 4. Just so worth it!

Though its more like a soft taco, it's probably the best burrito in town.
