Celebrated my mom's birthday at Omakase.

Promo Alert: BPI card holders will get 30% off with minimum 2,000PHp bill.

Here's what we ordered:
Oyster Butteryaki (290PHp)
Mix tempura (240PHp)
JSC Platter (755) super sulit! 3 types of sushi in one
Chirashi (300PHp)
Yakisoba (190PHp) the only thing I didn't like 128517

It never fails to satisfy our Japanese cuisine cravings.

I've been to Omakase a lot of times yet this is my first time to give it a review.

"Omaks", the way we call it at the office is our default Japanese resto. We love almost everything here. My fave orders are:

Seafood Crepe Salad
Seaweed Salad
Tenzaru Soba
Seafood Roll
Ebi Tempura
Their Makimono. I think I love almost all of them.
Chirashi Don
Tuna, salmon and uni sashimi

It's a place where we can just "eat our feelings" after a stressful day.

Price can be a bit steep at times...well, that depends on your appetite. Only downside I guess is their service. They're slow sometimes. But it's bearable.

Overall...love it.

Meet up with my friend and had dinner here.

American Dream has always been my favorite and my visit won't be complete without it 128523

Of course you can't forget Spicy Tuna Salad! I also ordered Ikadon for a change, I usually order Katsudon or Tonkatsudon.

Our tummies were full and happy. 9996🏼️

Still one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the metro! 128525 I love their American Dream Maki and their Jurassic Maki! Their Spicy Tuna Salad is amazing too! Their Mixed Sashimi tastes very fresh and clean. Their Tempura is excellent too! I definitely look forward to dining here again! 10084

I actually cannot believe that I haven't reviewed this place yet... It just means that I haven't been back in years!128517 But I had the chance to dine here again last week, when my bf and I stayed put at Morato due to the heavy traffic...

There weren't that many people in the store, so we were able to sit at one of the booths... My bf insisted on the Dinosaur Roll to start off the meal... We were then a bit confused about the difference between a Katsudon and the Tonkatsudon in their menu... Apparently, the katsudon is still breaded pork topped with an egg and scallions, while the tonkatsudon is deep fried breaded pork, a bit on the dry side, with no egg or toppings... We ordered both...

The Jurassic roll was one of their creations and it was okay... I would have preferred the Philadelphia roll instead... It did have a bit of crunch and spiciness from the seasoned salmon skin and sesame seeds... I liked their katsudon, which was juicy and filling... The tonkatsudon was okay, needed a bit of kikoman... We washed the meal down with a beer each... Dinner was reasonably priced and pretty good... Servers were nice and service was fast... 128522

I'm sure this resto will continue to be around for years!128516

Jap food cravings satisfied with Omakase! Been wanting to eat here ever since. I had Salmon Katsu Rice and a mixed sushi/sashimi platter. I just want to eat sashimi! And in all fairness, all for a reasonable price! I find the serving big all worth your money.

The salmon was a bomb! Perfect sweet sauce and egg blended well with the salmon. The platter also satisfied my cravings of course.

I will definitely go back here for more Japfoodfun!

Since my girlfriend doesn't like Japanese food, specifically sushi, I haven't been frequenting Japanese restos for quite some time, except for ramen shops. But since Ooma opened the possibilities of her appreciating sushi, I took advantage of that momentum and made her agree to go to a Japanese resto in a very subtle way.

Me: Saan mo gusto kumain? Ayoko sana magrice kasi I feel bloated.

Her: Oo saka ayoko ng fastfood or anything fried. Ang unhealthy natin kumain lately!

Me: Eh san mo gusto? Ayoko na lumayo. Chili's? (I suggested Chili's because I knew she was gonna decline)

Her: Eeehh! Nakakaumay!

Me: Alam mo kung maghehealthy tayo, dapat sa Japanese resto. Hindi sa Yabu ha? Yung mga may sushi. (She's now showing her disgusted face) At least don mga fish lang, fresh ingredients.

Her: Eeehh!

Me: Ano ka ba nakaya mo naman yung ooma ah!

Her: Iba yun!

Me: Ano ka ba try mo din yung iba. Saka tignan mo yung mga Japanese ang hahaba ng buhay. Kasi they eat raw fish! Saka light lang and more on seafood...

Her: ....

Me: Sige na...

A few minutes after and we were off to Omakase. Hook, line and sinker.

Lucky for us, we were the only ones there, but since we were starving, I think we ordered for 5 people. Here's what we ordered:

Ebi Tempura - You can't go to a Japanese resto and not order tempura. This was just okay though. The size is kinda small but for Php190 for 3pcs., pwede na.

Crazy Maki - I loved this. I love the crunch and the hint of spiciness and the tuna and salmon were fresh. The girlfriend had 2 (I'm so proud! That's an achievement!) and I ate the rest. You'll have a good value for your money too!

Omakase Soup - kebs lang.

Tofu Steak - We liked this dish too. For Php 230 you get 12 tofu cubes wrapped with thin slices of beef. A must-have entree!

Baked Oysters - I loved baked oysters and for me, a good baked oyster should have the right balance. It should have an ample amount of cheese or what-not, but it shouldn't overpower the oyster. The cheese should only be complimenting the oyster. There are lots of restos that put a huge mound of cheese and cream on the oyster like it's a good thing, and that irks me a lot. I should still be able to taste and enjoy the oyster inside, not to mention it should be fresh. Anyway back to Omakase's oysters (pakahaba ng intro ko). Good thing they serve good baked oysters. We loved this dish and we almost ordered another round.

Nana's Wings - Here's where we realized that our attempt to eat healthy was an epic fail. My girlfriend is a fan of chicken wings so we had to order this. This was kinda disappointing. It was perfectly cooked but we find it sweet. I guess that's what you get when ordering wings from an Asian restaurant.

The service was okay too, except for the fact that some of the servers didn't know anything about the food they serve. I will probably come back if I want a quick sushi fix. I was actually thinking of going to Nihonbashitei instead in Tomas Morato but from I've read here their service sucks. Fortunately, Omakase didn't disappoint.

And I'm just glad that the girlfriend liked it too. I wonder where's the next resto I can trick her into going with me... Hmm...

It was my first time to try this place out. Japanese food is not really something I normally crave for but today...today was different.

I went straight for this restaurant after work. I was planning to buy some stuff at the Pos building so a quick meal right in front of it, at Il Terrazzo seemed fitting.

The staff here were fairly attentive but nothing noteworthy. It was kind of awkward being the only solo diner as the entire restaurant was filled with families as well as friend and work groups. But I digress. I quickly looked through their menu and settled on their Seafood Bento.

127857 The seafood bento (450 pesos) was served after a couple of minutes. It came with miso soup, tuna and salmon sashimi, kakiage (mixed vegetables fried in tempura batter), potato salad, some cooked mixed seafood including fish, shrimp, squid and toge (bean sprouts??) plus garlic rice. I liked how fresh all the food was and how all the fried or cooked elements were not super oily. It was a pretty well-rounded meal (as bentos are) and left me quite full and satisfied. Well, that's my Japanese food craving satisfied for today!

First time to try it here with my friend. We are dyad of sushi lovers. He's a Chirashi eating, Unagi loving dude, and i'm a maki eating, spicy food loving girl. What I mostly loved about our visit here was the Spicy Tuna Salad and the Mt. Fuji Roll. We were kind of sad that we only had so much to spend, cause they had a wide variety of Sushi Rolls. And we could only pick 2.

The Mt Fuji Roll was an explosion of flavors, it had deep fried tune inside and unagi and cheese on top. It was sweet and salty, and it was pure ecstasy.

The Spicy Tuna Salad had a pretty generous amount. The tuna was cubed instead of crushed with made every bite just heavenly.

My friend had Chirashi. And he said the fish were fresh and delicious, but the downside was the rice.

We ordered Crazy Maki just incase we weren't full yet, and it was just.. NOPE. It had salmon and tuna inside and you would think, what would go wrong?! And then they added the dilis bits outside, and it was just wrong.

All in all, I think we'll be coming back for more maki's. But we'll definitely stay away from the Chirashi and Crazy Maki.

I had dinner with friends at Omakase as we celebrate my friend's new chapter in life. The place was nice and clean. The servers are accommodating up until the place has been full of people around 8pm.

Regarding the food, amongst all the food we ordered... I can only give 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻 for their american dream maki! But, i'll just give 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻 for their yakisoba, beef teppan and tori karaage 🙁

I have a friend who loves Omakase almost as much as I do... And one day we were craving sushi and decided to hit up Omakase --- madness ensued. 128514128514

We ended up ordering four plates of sushi with 8 pieces each-- so yep, 32 pieces of sushi for only 2 people. To be fair we didn't order anything else.. But it was still way too much. HAHAHA.

We ordered the American dream (ok lang, the deep fried factor made it nakakaumay), Jurassic roll (nice and crunchy but not a big fan), Seabreeze Roll (SUPER GOOD. Cleaner version of Deep Blue Sea?? Aaahh new fave 128557127843), and the Deep Blue Sea. The Deep Blue Sea wasn't that good this time, the kani topping didn't have any mayo and the rice was mushy. Service was also kinda slow, but I'm still giving them four stars because that's how much I love the Seabreeze roll.

It's been a while since my last review and what better way to make a looloo comeback for a jap foodie like me? Omakase. Reading through the many reviews and raves for omakase we decided to try it since we were in the area. We were not that hungry that time so we just ordered two makimonos, the deep blue sea and the seabreeze maki.

The reviews don't lie people them makis are really good. You would know that the ingredients are fresh just by looking at it and feel it once you get to taste it. The service is not that notable though understandable because the place was packed that time. After eating we were tempted to try more but we did not let our inner glutton get the best of us and decided to just come back if we have time. Maybe next time we get to try more of their offerings and maybe i can add more stars. 128513

Want to try sushi but not sure which to order and not willing to shell out a good amount of dough for it? Try Omakase. (This is no a paid ad) 128513

Omakase is a foodie's "safe sushi haven". Safe because it's not too adventurous, and not too dull as well. This place has earned every jap foodie's respect because of the quality of the food for a lesser price compared to its counterparts.

It's been too long since I last visited this so my brother and I decided to give it a go. We ordered my usual salmon sashimi, katsudon because I was hungry (magexplain!), teriyaki for my bro, and the crazy maki. The salmon has the usual richness and smoothness that a fresh salmon has. The katsudon was tender to the bite and the onions and egg didn't overwhelm the meat and the rice that came with it. Crazy Maki was refreshing with its spicy tuna and salmon sprinkled with scallion and ebiko.

I also ordered Chirashidon to go because someone did not eat her lunch yet. Soon as I delivered the Chirashi and miso soup, I also gulfed down the uni that came with it. 128514

Omakase is one of the jap restaus that still serve good yet inexpensive food. I just hope that in the years to come, the consistency of their quality will remain. 128077
