Our go-to place for a jap fix - consistently good food, reasonably-priced, too. For this visit though (we came in around 3pm, about 3 other tables occupied), the servers were mostly inattentive. Had to do the beauty-queen wave a few times to get noticed.

Haven't been back to omakase in a while because of a couple of mediocre experiences but my brother in law wanted to have lunch there last weekend so off we went. TBH I was on the fence about it. When we got the menus, I saw that they've revamped. Again 128513 so I guess that's a good thing? They offer more stuff now like aburi style sushi and Curry bowls. I got my usual American dream but instead of tofu steak, I tried their spicy tuna salad. The boys got a chirashi bowl each and a BDR platter to share.
My tuna arrived first and it was pretty good. Not as spicy as kikufuji's but the chunks were nice and fresh. Their bowls arrived too and my American dream. Happy that the American dream still tastes the same as it did 10 years ago 128522 it's the sauce I tell ya! The BDR platter had 24 rolls I think 128518 I liked the one with bacon.
Less one star though cos it was pretty warm in the resto. Don't know if it was just too hot outside or d kaya ng AC. Anyways, happy that they've changed and we can now make it a regular place to go to.

Omakase will always be that reliable staple for consistently good Japanese food at a reasonable price. From old favorites to new dishes, I've never left a disappointed customer.

Had dinner this time with gym friends and tried the salmon don for the first time. Fresh salmon plated like a flower over rice is a thing of beauty!

I like their sashimi. It's composed of crab, squid, tuna, salmon and egg. Good thing they have a good stock of salmon here. The sake we got is smooth in the throat.

I like the ambience as well high ceiling. It got a fish pond that has koi in it. The CR was no that clean.

Huge fan of their spicy tuna salad, which i always order when i go here, and sushi platters (but only for the taste and not the price since i find it too expensive. I only get a platter if i go with my parents).

Anyway, food here is consistent with the omakase quality i've tasted in other branches. My only issue with this branch is the layout as i really feel that it is too cramped. Given the number of people who visit this branch as well (which is a lot), i find it slightly uncomfortable to go here. Add on to this my opinion that there seems to be a dip in service quality vs other branches. I think the gap in service quality is mainly driven by the volume of people going here and the staff. That was the only misses in my visit i guess.

That's it, take care everyone.

Nothing wrong with the food here, it's really the service that they provide that needs an improvement. Waiters and staff need to be friendlier no matter how busy they are. Hope the owners are listening. 128563

And their American Dream was dreamy! 128525 Yeah, my photo doesn't do much but it was good. I liked the addition of cream cheese in that really packs that flavor. Other are pretty good too.128522

There wasn't any food at home the other day so my brother bears and I had to eat out. Hubby and I wanted yusho or burger geek but they wanted omakase so ok majority wins.
We all got a rice meal each, I tried the salmon katsu and hubby got the curry katsudon. My bros in law got the gyudon and katsudon. Also tried the spicy salmon. Got our usual tofu steak and the SAR platter (in picture).
The spicy salmon arrived first and it was ok. Not bad. The bowls arrived next and they dug in right away. The curry katsudon looked so sad, ang nipis nung meat 128547 my salmon arrived last and I didn't expect it to be a salmon patty. Parang smashed salmon Na ewan. You can't even pick it up with chopsticks cos it falls apart. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. Just ate the American Dream from the SAR platter and the tofu steak.
Bill took a while too, my two bros in law didn't seem to mind (clueless) but for hubby and I, ugh sana yushoken nalang.

This is officially my favorite sushi place, I especially love their Deep Blue Sea, it's that crunchy texture that gets to me. All the flavors dance in your mouth like a party! 127843128513

Price-wise, it's totally worth it!

The place is pretty nice with a very modern design. The attendants are really nice and very accommodating.

Definitely my go-to place. 10084

Omakase is one of my favorite japanese restos here in Manila. I always ended up ordering spicy tuna salad, ebi tempura, dynamite roll, aspara beef roll, zigzag roll and jurassic maki.

We then also tried their Nana Wings. It was good but nothing extraordinary.

Nevertheless, I am one happy customer whenever I'm here in Omakase. I don't usually give 5 stars but they are consistent in giving great food and service!

Pros: They have 2nd floor to cater to more customers. Great food, great service.

Cons: Reservation is required if you want to avoid in a waiting queue. You can reach them at (02) 771-1443 for reservations. You need to check their hours of operation too.

PS: Sorry for the bad photo, I was so hungry and decided to munch instead of focusing in taking pictures. 128540

With all the new Best winning places to dine in Alabang and BF its is hard to believe that an older standard would loose its former culinary strengths... Confused food servers on a Tuesday Nite half full?
Ordered Jurassic Maki for the last time...
Wasabi no punch. Tenpura came before the sushi and was not pan hot... Gyouza was just so so... Flushed down with a beer and goodbye forever...

It's been a while since I last ate here. The food is still good, in general, but the quality is not the same anymore. The maki is a bit smaller, sashimi slices are thinner, tempura not as crispy, coffee jelly not as firm.

I don't wonder why there isn't a long queue as early as 6pm unlike before. Apart from the growing competition around, the quality of the restaurant has taken a step down.

In the photo: Seafood Dumpling (which is now smaller as well)
