Omakase is like the Jollibee of my childhood :)

Favorites are Mt. Fuji Roll and the Spicy Tuna Salad (shucks I'm craving even as I'm typing this). But really, everything else I've tried is great too.

I would have given it 5 stars only if we didn't find a strand of hair on the rice of our Tonkatsudon 128541 (which they insisted to have it replaced with a new one or another dish)

But all in all the food taste good and the service was great. I would definitely come back for their rolls! Hehe

There are only a few legitimate Japanese restaurants near our place in Marikina so when Omakase came to life, oh, it's a dream come true, haha!

Located at Gil Fernando Avenue, wherein a lot of restaurants and establishments are starting to blossom and transform it into a food haven like Maginhawa in Quezon City and Kapitolyo in Pasig City, Omakase is one of the nicest Japanese restaurants to check out here when you're having that craving.

The restaurant is a bit small and tight given its floor area. Upon entering, you'll instantly see the counter with the cashier staff dealing with the payments. The whole of it can be seen from that point.

The wallpaper's design has cherry blossoms that will actually make you feel like you've been transported to Japan. Simple but effective, the interiors have this classy and elegant look as well.

The round tables and chairs with cushions can comfortably sit groups of families, friends and colleagues altogether wherein chit-chats and talks can be done while you're eating.

Omakase's menu has so so so much to offer. From various types of salads to soups, dumplings, makis, sushi and ebi platters, to different pork, chicken, beef and seafood dishes to some types of desserts, you'll actually find it hard to hold their heavy menu card given that there are really a whole lot of items to choose from!

For appetizers, we had our all time favorite California Maki and another order of their Tuna Maki. Simply and usually presented, what makes their maki and sushi orders stand out were the fresh and legit taste that will actually make you come back for more. The fillings were tasty and yummy, even more when drizzled with the classic soy sauce and wasabi mixture.

For the mains, we had their Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and Beef Misono Bowl. Both rice bowls had generous servings of the meat and upon seeing it, I knew that it's also good for sharing. The meat were both tender, juicy and tasty. I loved how they value making the flavors come so well altogether as to satisfy their customers.

The crew and staff were all attentive to the needs and wants of the guests, probably another reason why the place is always jam-packed.

The parking is quite hard as the place is located beside the main road so I suggest that if you live within the vicinity, take a tricycle or cab to avoid the hassle.

And yes, if you haven't tried Omakase yet, you're definitely missing out so go and try it as soon as you can!

I was craving for salmon sashimi and look what I found. Omakase (Marikina) did not disappoint on a holy Thursday. Seafood Bento and Raspberry Ice Tea, great combination. Service was prompt. I'm coming back to bring my wife....

Cheat day!

I've eaten here about ten times in the past year but I always forget to do a review.

Had my usual Chirashi which is always 127775127775127775127775127775. No one else does it better. The tuna, salmon (3 pcs each), tamago, kani (2 each), ebi, uni, ika, horse radish and Japanese pickles are a perfect combination.

But also tried the Salmon Katsu (pictured) which was a huge slab of salmon covered in scrambled egg and smothered in sweet sauce. Also 127775127775127775127775127775.

My only issue with them is that they had to move from Eastwood a couple of years back. 128545 if only I didn't love them soooooo much.

And this review completes the set! Apparently I've eaten in all their branches!

I love this branch because they serve better food than the other branches. I love the Philadelphia roll! The seafood teppanyaki is also a big serving. Love it!

A bike ride away from Marq. Omakase is our go-to places when we are craving for raw fish.

We ordered tuna and kani nigiri. Sumptuous as always. I like the smell of fresh tuna, it's refreshing. And yes, i am slowly learning to use chopsticks.

After devouring caramelised onions and baked mussels at Blakes.  We went to the restaurant next door immediately.

We were seconds away from dining at Omakase,  folks.

The interior reminds of Memoirs of A Geisha,  i dunno why,  i guessing it is the cherry blossoms wall decor thingy they have.  I kept on checking if Sayuri will come out.  The design is modern and sleek but with a lil Japanese flare.

The menu is extensive, first timers will have a hard time choosing.  They offer a variety of dishes -  beef,  fowl,  veggies and seafood.  He liked the fact that the chopsticks are made of plastic.  He said that i should include this on my review.

"Very good.  Walang masyadong punong mapuputol. "

Yes,  we share the same sentiments with regard to Climate Change.

We were not that hungry,  so we settled on sharing the sushi sampler and miso soup.  He likes the latter and briefly explained the movement of molecules when exposed to hot temperature.

The sushi sampler is comprised of salmon and tuna sashimi (three of each) and ebi, salmon and tuna sushi (one of each).  This is one of the best snacks we had in a while.  Biased opinion as we both like Japanese food especially sashimi.

It is hard to come up with an extensive review of the pleasures of eating raw fish but believe me when i say that you're missing out on life if you haven't tried sashimi.  Go ahead,  add it on your bucket list.  If you happen to like 'em,  then welcome to the club and if you feel the opposite,  well..... I'd give you a gold star for trying.

Affinity with eating raw fish has an evolutionary psychology element,  our ancestors never had stoves before (before they knew knew how to make fire)  and i am assuming that some of the food they eat are raw.  This trait is then passed on to the modern man,   hence some people like eating sashimi.

Back to Omakase, this is still the best Japanese restaurant for me..  Good food at an affordable price.  I am sure Japanese Food aficionados will agree,  Hai!

We never get tired of eating here. Everything's always so fresh, and I've never had a bad experience in any of their branches.

We ordered Tuna Sashimi, M2 Maki, and this super amazing Jurassic Roll! Woah. It blew our minds! Crispy salmon skin on top!

Tried it again for the second time. Never ceases to amaze me and fill my tummy so good. Fresh ingredients. Price is fair. Plus you can opt to deliver the food to your home, however there is a 10% delivery charge. Overall, its a two thumbs up.

The place was crowded, so the place seems small, but the service was good and fast. The food was just like any other Japanese restaurants, though gotta give them a thumbs up for their Ebi Tempura and Salmon Katsu.

Finally tried this Jap resto.

For appetizers, we had their Spicy Tuna Salad (250php), Nana's Wings (165php) and Ebi Tempura (465php/8 pcs).

Our solo orders include Katsudon (180php), Torikatsudon (165php), Salmon with Rice (190php), Chirashi (300php) and the Chicken Bento Box (400++php).

My favorites are the Spicy Tuna Salad with all that raw tuna served with crispy crumbs and the Jap mayo that makes all the calories worth it along with the Chirashi with all the Japanese rice in one bowl, paired with raw Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp, Oysters, Crabsticks. Heaven indeed!

The rice meals were really served sumptuously and my sisters who are really big eaters weren't able o finish their orders.

Also ordered their bottomless Panama Orange Iced Tea (75php) and I really enjoyed it.

Omakase makes excellent Jap food consistently! In any branch, the food is always great and the portions never change! This will always be my favorite Japanese restaurant in Manila! That's why I made sure I get to eat here whenever I come home from Cebu! 128514
