Breakfast is delish! Rooms are quite small but very cold and comfortable! Best bang for your buck in my opinion!

The past few months, I've been busy with Law School graduation and now with Bar review. I never really had a chance to take a break and go on a vacation the past months. Soooo when a friend offered a gig in Tagaytay, I decided to grab it right away. It's been a long time since my last food and staycation blog right?:) Anyway, so Armi and I decided to go to Tagaytay the day before the scheduled gig and stayed at One Tagaytay Place.

Let's talk about our experience with this Hotel. Tagaytay has been my go-to staycation place the past years. I've already visited a lot of hotels and I can say that One Tagaytay is part of my top 5 list.128521 We stayed at Amadore which is one of the rooms in their Penthouse. As you can see in the picture above, it's a nice One Bedroom Suite with one bathroom, kitchenette, dining table, and living room. Modesty aside? I'm really picky when it comes to hotels. You know that feeling when you can't walk barefoot just because you don't know if the room is really clean? I did'nt get that feeling in this hotel. The room was very cozy and clean. Actually, it was kind of big for us. This room is good for 4-5 pax. Perfect for staycation with family or friends128521 Amdore has a spacious bathroom with bath tub. I love the complimentary Bath Salt by Ilog Maria! You know how girls are when it comes to unwinding and beauty routine at night128556

Anyway, I love the room so much! I could stay there all day. Armi and I were contemplating about their bed since we're both Nocturnals(with all the readings the last five years in law school128514) GUESS WHAT?! We were snoozing already before 12 midnight. I was so tempted to ask the management if they're using Tempur for their pillows and beds!

After our early dinner, we tried their Spa services. We decided not to avail the room service cause we want a complete spa experience. Please see pictures above so you can imagine how relaxing the place is. I tried the one hour Swedish massage and I liked it. I wonder what brand of massage oil they use. It was a mixture of lavander and lemon? loved it! Anyway, we stayed in a room which I guess is also a couple room. It also has a bath room inside and drawers for your personal items. They also have spa rooms good for 3-4 pax (perfect for spa party with the girls!) Let's add on the list their jacuzzi, body scrub services, hand and foot spa, manicure and pedicure and a whole lot more!

Another thing I love about this hotel? They have good service. We all know how important service is. The moment we parked our car, we were already greeted by the staff. I don't know but their service can be compared to the 4 star hotels in the metro because we were really taken care of plus the smile on their faces. Additional star for that127775

We were also lucky to meet the General Manager of One Tagaytay Place, Mr. Jose Marie Ouano. He made sure we would enjoy our stay up to the last minute. This is one of the few times I saw a GM who is very hands on despite the workload in hotel operations. I was really amazed by their service.128588🏻

If you're wondering about their food service? Please check my review about Amacena. :)

Will I come back? Definitely. This hotel is perfect for staycation with family or friends. New hidden gem! Yehey! So In case you plan to visit Tagaytay, you know where to stay128521

The Ascend Suite was amazing. We had TV, a fridge, a microwave (so we were able to pop some popcorn), water heater (for a coffee fix), complimentary drinks, a bathtub, and a killer view. The sheets were amazing and the tub makes us want to stay there the whole day.

Checked in here right now and sharing this room with my sister.

The room is quite small but clean and neat. Simple. My bros and parents are at the other rooms (4 rooms for all of us). It's too cold and windy here!! 128513

Turn off: The shower heater isn't consistent. It goes from super hot to super icy cold and it won't be hot anymore!!! 128532 I had to turn it off again then turn it on. Then it gets freaking cold again forever then repeat. 128556

They have small rooms for its price. The other room we got didn't even have a refrigerator and we we're charged the same. 128532

Food is good though the rooms are small. Very courteous staff. Has a convenience store and ATM machines within the building which is a plus.

Decent enough place to stay for one night. Front desk lacks coordination with each other. Loved the view from our room 604.

This hotel is very clean, with modern interiors. It has a low ceiling. We had a small room with small bath but we had a sofa which I liked. I felt like I was playing hotel hotelan. It's like a mini 5 star hotel. I was surprised to see their buffet room. I was expecting it to be small too but it wasn't.

The bed was soft and comfy too. We had a veranda but there was really nothing to do there. No table, no chair. Just wall with dried plants.

Our package comes with set breakfast but you can upgrade to buffet for P250. We opted for buffet but the selection was limited. There were cinnamon pancakes, adobo, longganisa, scrambled eggs, bangus, arroz caldo, cereals, bread, fruits. There were 4 seasons, iced tea, mango, orange(?) juice. The best was their arroz caldo. I got 4 bowls. I was having a cold so it helped a lot.

I appreciate that it is very clean and has no smell. That's what matters most to me. So our stay was ok.

Had an appointment here over the weekend, with free buffet, so I tagged my friends along.
While waiting for my 1130am appointment, we tried the hotel's spa services and boy was it a surprisingly awesome experience. Normally, rooms can accommodate 2 people at a time, but since there were 3 of us, we asked the staff to put in a 3rd massage bed. We all took their basic scrub - massage package (Php1290) and both the scrub and massage services were well done! Although you have yo pay for the use of jacuzzi and sauna, this hotel's spa service is worth it!
What I didn't like was our dining experience. Given that the buffet was free for two (we had to pay Php399 for the extra headcount), they could have showcased their food and beverage better. Their spaghetti was blah! My first attempt to cook spaghetti wheb I was still a teener was a much better experience (yeah, that bad!). Also, it was supposed to be a buffet, so people should be able to go back when they want to, but no, it was not only measured, it was also limited to one trip to the table. Fine, it was free, but I believe that every interaction with your customer is a sales opportunity, and the way they did their free buffet meant "don't ever try our hotel food!" Gave feedback to my contact there so they can improve.

They have an infinity pool, from where you can see the posh community of Southridge.

If you really want to enjoy the tagaytay's cool weather, stay in this hotel, you will really feel the fresh air of the place. The hotel is lovely especially at night. I suggest book a room with a veranda to enjoy more the view of mountain tagaytay. The whole area is clean, quiet and very relaxing. It has its own bar and restaurant on the ground floor. The food are also fresh and delicious. Try it!128522
