So the first destination for my anniversary surprise to my girlfriend was this place.
We had our lunch here, I ordered the crispy tuna belly and my girlfriend got the pork belly (although she was pretty sure she ordered chicken). Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the food. And it's cheap as well. We weren't able to stay much longer since my girlfriend had to work. But this place was good for a quick eat and run scenario hahaha. You could actually distinguish the different flavor compared to Manila's cooking. I think this might have been one of the best Crispy Tuna belly i've eaten.
This was just the first stop for our Eat Fest Anniversary Celebration and it was already amazing!

So the boyfriend decided to surprise me last weekend as we were celebrating our first year anniversary. I never expected to have a visitor in Cebu anytime soon so it was definitely the sweetest thing ever. And I gotta say he knows me too well because I wouldn't care for flowers or chocolates. All I want is company and just a decent Food Trip, and that was exactly what we did when he was here.
Our first stop was Orange Karenderia in Mactan Newtown. It was a surprise and I had to work then so I went here just for a quick lunch. Thankfully they now have meal sets now that come with a glass of Iced Tea. We ordered the Grilled Pork Belly Meal and the Crispy Tuna Belly Meal.
The Crispy Tuna Belly surprisingly grew in portion, even for the same price. It was always a favorite of mine and my boyfriend loved it too. It was crispy, wonderfully seasoned and tender on the inside. The sauce that came woth it was delicious too.
The Grilled Pork Belly was delicious too. It was your typical Pinoy style grilled Liempo, but they sure got the recipe right. It was familiar and flavorful. It was also surprisingly filling even at the affordable price. Solid good, indeed!
I gotta say, I really enjoyed their glass of Iced Tea too. It was just right in terms of sweetness. It was the perfect pairing with the Cebuano comfort food lunch.
Looking forward to my next visit!

This popular restaurant in Cebu City has finally opened an express version in Mactan! And it's very accessible in Mactan Alfresco in Mactan Newtown! They hold 2 "Best of Cebu" badges and I couldn't agree more! Their "Betsy's Garlic Chicken" is my favorite. It says it's good for 3 people, and it can feed such but I admittedly can finish this alone with 2 cups of rice. Ansarap e! Their crispy tuna belly and buntot are also awesome! ️️️
