Define sulit... this place is it! We were around 13 ppl, ordered 1 and 1/2 orders of their laureat set good for 8, essentially making it good for 12 ppl. What came out was food good for 20+ (i kid you not). My goodness.

If you want a quick generic chinese fix thats not heavy on the pocket, this place should do. The food is your typical filipino chinese fare; didnt find anything cantonese about it as stated on their sign board. As for authenticity and taste i dont think i'd make a return visit. Too much MSG (i think)... not only was i bloated from all that food but i also got a headache and felt a bit dizzy after. But i guess my gluttony was partly to blame for that too haha. Oh, and the buchi was really oily... like... dripping. oil. 128528

I'd recommend their shrimp rolls wrapped in bacon, stir fried shrimp with quail eggs and cashew nuts, and the mantou buns that came with the patatim haha.

This place may look like just another crappy Chinese restaurant, with tasteless furniture and a logo signage with a Monotype Corsiva font.

But no! Oriental Pearl is actually what's become of glorious Jade Palace in Shaw.

So it's the same old damn good Chinese food. Can't miss the beef brisket wanton noodles and my staples radish cake, hakaw, dumplings.

Definitely a no brainer go-to Chinese place in Kapitolyo.

So we decided to checkout this resto based on my officemate's recommendation. The place is cozy and feel good :) the staff is very accomodating and all smiles. As for the food, i think it was just ok. I super liked their sharksfin and sweet and sour pork 128077 The prices are very affordable, you will surely be full after your meal 128522

For those familiar with Jade Palace in Pasig, Oriental Pearl is the new name and has moved to a new location. I was able to try the beef brisket and steamed spare ribs. Both were good. Meat was tender and the sauce was delicious. The hototay soup reminded me of Rosebowl of Baguio. Veggies were fresh and crunchy. I found the dimsum a bit bland though. Service was good but parking a bit difficult. Price of the food is reasonable. Won't mind going back.

Had lunch here just now. I Ordered spiced beef brisket. Not bad for 139php and had some butchi 58php-4pieces for take out. Not bad. Affordable. 128076

The place itself is okay and quite relaxing. Neat. Fast service and its a walking distance from my place so less hassle for me ü

They have really good noodles and dimsum that are also pocket-friendly. The special mixed noodles is definitely a must-try and a must-share for the serving was really big. Another sulit meal!

They have a take out counter thats open 24/7. If you pass by it and see the tempting custard cake, dont give in. I bought three and didnt enjoy it. It was missing something i couldnt tell what. It was bland and quite cold.

this restaurant is not so authentic. for the general filipino taste it's ok. their food has too much msg.

the sweet and sour pork is on the crunchy side. which is good. the sauce tastes good too.

the yang chow fried rice had lesser ingredients included. the taste was ok. you'll find a couple of mag tidbits. 128543

the fried chicken was a bit dry. although, the kropek that came with it was good. the sauce for the chicken was served when we were almost done with the chicken. my reaction was "may sauce pala." hehe

their lomi is really just a pancit canton. i'm used to the wet lomi. this one's dry. they should change the name to "pancit canton"

the beef with young corn was good too. the beef was tender and the young corn was still a bit crunchy even it was smothered by a lot of sauce.

the price was very affordable. we only spent around P200/head.

We went on a Sunday night at around 11pm.

Quick service, pretty good food and cheap! I loved the value for money at this place! Now that we are saving for our wedding that is super important to me! Goodbye days of not caring how much I spent on food.

We tried:
Hakaw
Sweet and sour pork
Yang chao fried rice: needed a little more flavor
Dishwater soup: OMG I just have to say that this was so yummy. I'm normally not a fan of free soup that comes with meals but this was so tasty. Delicious.

Cheap, pretty good, and open late.

Ordered the hakaw, sweet and sour pork rice meal, and yang chow fried rice. For less than 500php. Sulit!

It's been a long time since I've last visited Jade Palace. Decided to order Beef Wanton Noodles P145 for lunch (good for 2). Broth was ok (I still love Wai Ying's, egg noodles was good not as flavourful but serving was too much for one person, loved the tasty beef brisket (did not eat the fatty part), packed pork & shrimp wantons.

Service was fast, food served hot, ask for house tea for free, price is VAT & Service Charge inclusive.

If I can only eat more I will definitely order HAKAW.
