I didnt check the inside of Dauis church yesterday.  Part of our Bohol Getaway is to visit tourist destinations and roam around the city.

I had the chance to step inside without catching on fire. The walls are still under renovation what caught my attention is the beautiful mural.  A mixture of eye-catching colors that entice the eyes of the viewer.  The mural consists of religious images comprised of eye catching colors.  The ceiling was painted by Ray Francia in 1916.

Dauis Church.   Considered as one of the picturesque structures in Bohol.

I can't fully appreciate the beauty of the structure as it is under renovation,  i can see a lil Gothic here and there.  As per wiki,  the church was built from a mixture of styles, influenced by both Byzantine and Romanesque architecture. The construction started during the 1863 and was fully completed a couple of years after, 1920 to be exact. This baby is almost a century old.

If i get a chance to go back to Bohol,  i hope the church is fully restored to it's former glory.
