Yellow fin tuna
This dish caught my attention. Curious what it was those red fibres on top...its actually shredded bell peppers. I frowned and said... That cant be! When I tasted it, oh it was really nice! The flavour I didn't expect! Its so good and it really works well on the tuna. I like my steak medium rare so I asked for the tuna medium rare and paired it with el camino Spanish red wine.

Jamon Croquettes
I like the creaminess and the taste is well balanced the crispiness it was just right.

Smoked Octopus (starter)
This one is another story. I was surprised by the goodness of the sauce! Then I asked what the sauce is.... I was told its not a sauce! Its actually pureed potato in butter & milk. It was a perfect sauce for me for the smoked octopus and the octopus is so soft. I recommend to try it.

Dessert:

Chocolate Soufflé
Molten lavacake is what it is actually.
It is really chocolatey creamy and my fave is that it wasnt too sweet! 128522

Banana & Rum something I didnt get the exact name of it.
It was good but in my own opinion it wasnt my fave because the cake part is just like its been soaked in full rum! Like you can easily get tipsy in a dessert 128517 but it still tasted good.

We ordered a baked eggplant with goat cheese for appetizer; a chicken & chorizo paella and baked maya-maya with tomato concasse as our mains.

The baked eggplant was delicious and the goat cheese's taste was very distinct. The chicken and chorizo in the paella has a generous serving although the paella was a bit salty. The paella was served in a large pan making it look plenty but the rice was just flattened on the pan. The baked maya-maya was a bit fishy but the rings topped on it was good and tasty.

The restaurant is a good place to hang out with friends and drink wine. Lights are dimmed and the ambiance is just nice for chilling and catching up. Although i think the food here is a bit expensive as we only ordered 2 main dishes for the 3 of us and we paid almost 1.8k in total.

Posh hangout place that serves good wine and awesome chill music on Thursdays. Would definitely go back! Next time to try their actual food.

Had a lunch meeting here last month and I loved the lamb riblettes appetizer! Yummy! I also liked the chorizo and manchego red pepper coulis! The cod was great as well... Be ready to spend when you go to this place, though. It is a nice luxury. But wouldn't go here too often. Nice once-in-a-while spend. :)

We're planning to go eat in wildflour in Salcedo but it was close. Fortunately, we passed by A new restaurant, Pablo. Even though I was way underdress for this place, they still offer us a table. The people was nice. They are friendly without discrimination. The place has a nice interior! More of a lounge type of restaurant.

The food was delicious and well seasoned! The french fries was good for side dish. You can already share it. We ordered pork belly and chicken and it was to die for. The price was OK. We paid 2200 for our dish, 1 coffee and 2 glasses of wine.

Better alternative than the other overpriced restos in the area. I would recommend their paellas and tuna steak. Totally worth it.

Food is average for a 1B group operated resto. However service is impeccable (special mention to Vince!) Nice ambiance and expatriate crowd! Wide selection of imported beers and liquors too. Great place for a nightcap. Surprisingly, pretty decent number of guests on a Sunday evening that we went.

I've been waiting for this Resto to open for sometime since I heard it's by the same group apartment1B.

Ambiance is okay, very similar to the La Boheme Resto before. Food was also okay, nothing out of the ordinary and quite overpriced for the dishes we ordered.

Given the several other options in the area, I probably wouldn't go back.

Pablo at the Picasso. Whoever thought of the name was definitely inspired. I heard the owners of Apartment 1B are part owners of Pablo (look closely at their signage for the reference) so I had high hopes for this restaurant which is still on its soft opening.

While the menu appears short (just one page, front and back), it seems like a lot of thought went into it. The chef seems to love foie gras as I noticed at least 3 dishes with foie gras -- one was paella with duck and foie gras (I could feel a heart attack coming just reading it), and the other was ensaymada with foie gras (interesting, to say the least). Unfortunately, my friend and I both have small appetites so we decided on other recommendations from the manager. To start with, we tried the manchego and chorizo triangles, and then the lobster roll (in photo) and mushroom risotto as our mains. I liked the triangles, although I couldn't help but compare it to Cirkulo's Hojaldres which is more cheesy. The lobster roll was delicious and I'll likely come back for it (and try one of the foie gras dishes). The mushroom risotto was also good but can be too rich. This is best shared. I spied that they serve Yardstick coffee and would have had a cup if it weren't too late in the day.

Glad to note that even if they were still on soft opening, the staff seemed to be knowledgeable of the menu and in control. Far too often have I seen servers running around like headless chickens during a soft opening. We came during dinner so I wasn't able to take in much of the interiors because it was dark. My impression though was it was simple bordering on sparse, which I like. Definitely coming back.
