Breakfast is served and I must say the taco fiesta salad is back to the quality before Max took over, almondigas soup s hot and not too oily , only thing is I found a long hair in my salad and in fairness theater offered to replace it. The branch here serves quality food ,home style bangus took some time 15-20 minutes .

Do you have that one classic restaurant that has a lot of branches which you can trust to always give you a good meal? That kind where you really don't need a menu to know what to order coz you just know what you like? Pancake House is that kind of restaurant for me and my small family. It never disappoints and when hubby and I are too tired or are in a hurry to think of a restaurant, it's our default.

Pancake House used to operate with it's own group of restaurants until it was acquired by Max's Group. Good thing nothing changed in terms of their menu and customer service. Nothing beats the Pancake House Classics - Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Pan Chicken, Tacos and their Caramel Banana Walnut Waffle. They just hit the right spots all the time.

We decided to have our Easter Sunday Dinner here since it's near St. Alphonsus Church. We got our favorites --

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce - Simple but oh so good. There is nothing fancy or complicated with their meat sauce. It doesn't have too much of tomato sauce in it, just lots of meat, but there is something so homey about it. It has the right blend of salty and sweet and that hint of sourness. It's just so good. They also sell this sauce in packets which you can take home to reheat at home and pour over freshly cooked pasta of your choice. Genius!

Classic Pan Chicken - not your usual fried chicken, theirs has this signature note of sourness in the coating. Crispy and juicy, it's good with or without their thick gravy!

Cherienne opted for their Mini Pancakes with chocolate chips and M&M like candies. Since it's Easter Sunday, they decorated their pancakes with Easter Egg sugar candies! The pancakes were moist and fluffy and soft and all good!

Since it was so hot that day, we also opted to get their Jumbo Banana Split. I was really expecting something bigger than the usual serving of banana split but nah. It was just the regular size. Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream, each topped with a particular sauce and whipped cream and finished off with nuts. It was the perfect dessert!

Service was on point in this branch though there was this super hyper staff that annoyed me a little. She was super hyper and so loud. I was just looking at their freezer displaying stuff that you can buy for take home when she loudly asked me if there was anything I needed. I mean that was okay, maybe she was just concerned but boy I wasn't even standing up or raising my hand or whatever. LOL

Anyhow....still a great experience overall.

One of our favorite restaurants. When we can't think of anywhere else to eat, pancake house is a no-fail
option.

What we keep on ordering:
Pan chicken
Spaghetti
Tacos
Banana pancake (I always add choco chips to the batter, try it , super yummy)

The longanisa was yummy too.

Would keep coming back!

I love waffles and pancakes. So this late review goes for the Reese's pancakes! They're good, the people there are kind enough to offer you something new to try to. Great place to stay but a little bit hard to go back from, if you're not on a bicycle or car. Still a walking distance from the magallanes flyover and Shell Magallanes Gas Station.

Best banana caramel pancake ever! Soooo fluffy! Roast beef is a bit dry but it still tastes delish! And the spicy chicken and pilaf is 10084️. Plus, THE WAITERS ARE SUPERRRRRRR FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING 128522

Well because I was in the mood to eat "healthy", I ordered a cup of regular plain frozen yoghurt with walnuts.....AAAND Pancakes hahaha.

The yoghurt was alright. Not the best but it's alright. It's a pancake house, what should I expect haha.

Their pancakes...128588 with whipped butter and the yummy syrup. Meh who cares about the calories.

Would have given 4 stars but minus one star for their poor service. My friend's ice cream came first and my food came a lot later. I hate it when this happens. 5 minutes or so would have been acceptable but it was just tooo long. And our bill took ages.

Pancake House has the best Pinoy spaghetti! Ever!

IMHO, of course.

So it was great to hear last year that they were selling their meat sauce in 1 kilogram jars on Groupon.

Lesley Ardelle E... I think that I got that bit of info from you? Tama ba? I forget.

I haven't had their spaghetti in quite a while. And skipping lunch yesterday increased the craving all the more.

So I dropped by the Paseo de Magallanes branch on my way home yesterday afternoon and ordered a large spaghetti with meat sauce for take out.

While waiting for my order, I spotted a cold storage display right beside my table with packed and frozen Pancake House goodies. With the holy grail of meat sauces proudly displayed on the top most level.

I don't know how long they've been selling it and I don't really care. I'm just happy that they are.

Plus, waxing nostalgic, I'm happy to have found out about it at this branch. This is the same area that started and nurtured my love for this chain.

Magallanes Theatre anyone?

My dad used to take me and my sisters to pancake house on the ground floor of the magallanes theater (this was back in the 80's) almost every Saturday morning.

I would always have chocolate marble pancakes. To this day, I haven't tried any other pancake in pancake house.

The pan chicken, tacos and spaghetti are also on my list of "comfort food". I'm glad the quality of food here hasn't changed over the years.

This is my Lola eying the bacon over Sunday breakfast. She ordered extra bacon with her pancakes and said she would just share one piece. She eats anything porkylicious.

Nostalgia to those that remember the original Pancake House here in Maga, where everything was made from scratch. Sadly theyre not homestyle anymore.

This is still a good place for a simple breakfast. You'll see a lot of residents here. The original owners are Maga locals. The lolas and lolos of Maga who frequent this place don't even have to show their SC card as their info is saved already128522

Just like any pancake house. Be careful with the coffee "refill" that comes with the breakfast medley. It's NOT free.

Pan Chicken from Pancake House. One of my ultimate comfort food dishes from this place (I also love their tacos, spaghetti, grilled cheese sandwich, and pancake towers).

Crispy , crunchy, salty , oily , deep fried chicken. Thick gravy to boot. I usually drench my gravy with Knorr Seasoning and a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce. It enhances the gravy more that makes the dining more malinam-nam! This dish is one of my must-haves when I'm craving for some unhealthy crunchy eats. This never fails me.

Truly one of my happy tummy dishes!
