Seeing the ads around, I instantly craved for Pancake House' new dish - Crispy Danggit in Maple Syrup. Sounds funny coz you don't usually partner this salty, crispy fish with maple syrup (or with anything sweet, for that matter).

But you know, this particular concoction works! I'm actually craving for it as I write. Well, honestly, I was surprised when I first tried it but it is on my second try that I appreciated the salty-sweet wonder of this fish dish. I even added vinegar to complete that asim-tamis-anghang taste. I do wish they'd put in smaller danggit (but more in quantity) instead of the bigger danggit size that they usually serve. Overall, this is one dish I'll be getting again and again.

One day before I went home, I decided to order food for takeout for the family. I stopped at this branch and ordered food. Service was slow even if there are only a few diners I then decided to grab a bite to eat.

Ordered the Arroz Ala Cubana and it was good. Really good. Loved the eggs and the plantains in this dish. Funny thing is that the server thought I was ordering bangus because Arroz sounds so close from Bangus. Right? Took quite some time before we figure it out.

By the time I finished eating, my take out food have not arrived yet and I was getting anxious.

I would have appreciated a quicker service and a cleaner area and flies are really everywhere and they should do something about it.

Overall, I would be hesitant to dine here because of the slow service and not so good take on cleanliness.

But good thing that there is always room for improvement. 128517

Daytrip to Tagaytay, so definitely had to stop by the pitstop as we left the house before 7am. Already hard to find parking at 730 in the morning~

Ordered my usual Classic Pan Chicken, and glad i didn't forget to mention to have it well-done because i hate it when I eat through my order and find the chicken is undercooked. Food here is, as always, good. Got bottomless iced tea too, but only had it refilled once because of the service (see paragraph below).

Service and atmosphere, not as good. It's hard to catch the attention of the servers here. Atmosphere, not soo..relaxing. I guess a pitstop is not supposed to be relaxing but it felt quite stuffy in here. I spotted a couple of bugs flying around, which is definitely a no-no for me, unless i'm eating alfresco.

They should really find a way to keep this place cleaner. No customer likes seeing bugs flying around while they're eating.
