They said that the food here is expensive. Okay. Given. Since the resort is far from the civilization and this is a luxury resort so being the kuripot that I am, I brought biscuits and coffee with me just in case my conscience will not allow me to eat expensive food and just starve me to death. But here's the thing, when you look at the menu, you'd say "yeah it is expensive" but basing from the quality of the food. Hands down or up basta! They have really good food even if it is only good for 1 (most of it).
Tried their best seller karekare which is super delicious! No wonder Kiko G is raving about it when he was there. It is like eating lily's peanut butter straight from the jar. This is really good. I also got to try their krispy pata, pancit, pizza, sandwiches everything just look normal in the menu but the presentation is world class and the taste. I can't recall eating something that we did not like. Even their mango shake is good thick and sweet and not icy.
That one in the picture is their purple yum carbonara, I've been wanting to try it since our first day at the resort but I'm also half scared that I might just waste this P400 worth of pasta if I didn't like it. But on our last night, I did what I think is right, and it did not disappoint! The yum pasta is not that over empowering actually you'll just get a hint of ube in it and the carbonara sauce is so meaty and flavorful every bite is heavenly. The pasta is cooked al dante and is thick compared to a normal pasta and I got full after eating half a plate.
At the end of the trip, I only paid 3500 for all 4 days meal lunch dinner (since bfast is included in the package) which when you come to think of it, is already sulit. 500 per meal everyday is expensive but 3500 for the whole stay is not haha gulo?!

Panglao Island Nature Resort DAY TOUR
This will not be an ordinary review cause very FEW PEOPLE get to experience the beauty of PINR through DAY TOUR. Only guests who stay at NATURA VISTA have the privilege to access PINR's day tour and no other resort in Bohol. If you will look it up online, PINR is actually one of the most luxurious resorts in Bohol. It has its own MAN MADE ISLET and it's situated in an isolated area. There are a lot of other luxurious resorts in Bohol but most of them are along Alona Beach which is like their 'Boracay' Stations 1,2 and 3.
I am actually on a budget travel when I went in Bohol, so I chose the place called NATURA VISTA. Little did I know that they have an access pass to this 5 Star Resort and was lucky enough to be able to experience it! If you are on a budget but still want to have that 1 day luxurious experience, this one is for you!
To be able to go there, of course it is REQUIRED you have your accommodation at NATURA VISTA first. The day tour used to be open to the public but because they wanted to manage the number of people coming in and to make sure it'll be peaceful and serene as possible they stopped it already.
Staff from Natura Vista accompanied us to PINR. It's a few walks away from Natura Vista. Around 10-12 min walk. We actually entered the back door area from the beach and went straight to the reception area. There is an P800 fee - P300 entrance fee and P500 consumable for meals which you can use on their restaurant. After that you will be given a key for the locker room where you can store your things so you can swim freely and walk along the beach.
It's open from 8am to 10pm.
We were lucky enough that during our stay which is on a Monday, a lot of guests have checked out already so me and my boyfriend were the only ones there plus few 2-3 people swimming and roaming around. It felt like we own the resort!!!
***These are the only ones you can use.
⚫️ Four Lane Lap Pool (Infinity Pool)
They have an extremely beautiful infinity pool with the view of the sea. I love how big it is! The water temp is also luke warm so I enjoyed swimming more!
It is divided into 3: 4ft. Pool, Main Pool 4.5-5ft w/ kiddie pool attached and jacuzzi, 6 ft. Pool with mini waterfalls.
Sobrang naenjoy ko talaga. The view of the sea is just so rejuvinating, nakakarelax.
⚫️ White Sand Beach
The beach has a fine white sand. We started going to beach around 4-5pm already so it's low tide. No problem in bringing your cameras and valuable because they have chairs where you can leave your belongings. There are also guars in the area who can watch your belongings.
Kayaks and Paddle Boards can be rented for P300 / hr.
I wasn't able to enjoy the beach as much as the pool cause of the low tide. Enjoyed walking on the shore though cause of the fine white sand but no there were no place where I can swim.
There were to many seaweeds and starfish also crabs so if you're not wearing aqua shoes you might step on something weird! Haha!
⚫️ Dream Islet (You can walk during Low Tide)
This is the highlight of the resort. It's what actually makes it unique the man made island. It's a few walks away from the shore, walkable during low tides. It's also an events place where weddings are big held, such a romantic place to get married. From there you can hop in on the different staircase leading down to the sea. Best time to swim is on a high tide.
Pero I must say, naimpress ako. Ang ganda talaga magtake ng pictures dito. ️
⚫️ Cafe Restaurant / Bar
After swimming we decided to eat dinner here to use our vouchers. We ordered Lasagna, Kare Kare and Pumpkin Soup. Their food is really pricey around P250 per order. Their Lasagna is super good! And the Kare Kare is quite different from the norm, it has a mashed potato which I didn't expect would go well with the Kare Kare. Malaki naman yung serving so sulit naman yung per order.
* Note: They have a 10% Service charge which is not deductible to the voucher.
Ambiance of the restaurant is great. Not air-conditioned but well lit and maganda view facing the ocean. Presko naman and the waiters were very attentive.
⚫️ GAME AREA (Billiard Table, Table Tennis, Chess, Dart Board, Table Hockey, Table Soccer)
I really dragged my boyfriend to go here after dinner. There were ZERO people so it's like we own the game room again! Haha! It's so big and maganda talagang pampalipas oras.
⚫️ Locker Room
They have a very clean locker room. This is not just for guests from Natura but also from the guests of PINR. Since malalayo yung per cottage nila I guess this is for convenience so they wont have to walk back all the way to their cottages. There are also showers and changing rooms.
Other Cool Facilities: Gym, Cave (YES THEY HAVE THEIR OWN CAVE! But only accessible by their guests.
Overall Rating: 5/5️
I wish I had more time to spend here. Sobrang nakakarelax lang talaga. If I could only afford their rates I would go back but sobrang sulit na yung P800 for a day tour. Masyado lang mahal yung food pero masarap naman :) Mababait din yung staff and inaasist kami kahit na "outsiders" talaga kami.
Mararamdaman mo talaga how luxurious the place is, no questions asked. ✔️🏻

This is my most relaxing trip ever! I've been to Bohol before so we decided not to make an itinerary and just enjoy and relax to this luxury hotel in Panglao, Bohol. I feel really old having said that but I do think that it is important to have 1 trip like this every year just to unwind, relax and be thankful.
I chose this resort as it is not too crowded and more nature-y than other luxury hotel in Bohol. Infinity pool is nice and divided into parts with jacuzzis on each end to give enough space for people who want to just chill and avoid those who are doing laps and all.
Service here is great! 🏻 They are very attentive and always asking if you need assistance or any help. Anywhere you go you will find a staff readily to assist you with all your needs. During dinner they have really good band that goes table to table serenading and the vocalist's voice is just heavenly.
Waited for sunrise and sunset but sadly it is cloudy all the time except in the afternoon so I did not get a good glimpse of the sunrise and sunset for this trip.
The beach is small but it feels huge since only few people are checked in its as if like we are only 5 groups there and mostly couples.
Mithi spa is heaven. They have really good spa. The ambiance, the treatment, the performance, the hagod.... Everything is just perfect. The one who did my back is so persistent in getting rid of the lamig at my shoulders I almost cried out of pain and joy as I feel so light and relax after the massage. So worth every penny!
I will make a separate review of their food.

Because of work, work, work, work, work, I was only able to go out of town once but when I had the opportunity, sagad na!
There are so many nice hotels to choose from in Panglao but I decided to be at a place not visited much by people. I wanted to be at Alona but it was crowded so I looked up online. Bellevue was my first choice but I read that there's really nothing much to do there unlike Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa.
The things that I love most about this resort:
1. Beach - I think there were only about 20 guests at the resort during my entire stay and I always have the beach all to myself. Well, most of the time. The water is crystal blue and the beach is sheathed in white powdery sands.
2. Dream Islet - It's a man made island where weddings and other celebrations are being held. I visit it everyday because it gives me an awesome view of the entire resort. Guests can use the kayak or paddle board to get here but I just use my arms and legs. Hehe!
4. Size - The place is huge with tennis courts, gym, and function areas. You can jog around or visit their very own cave where guests can go for a swim and it's only a few steps away from the resort lobby. The place has an infinity pool and a lap pool near the spa and fitness center. There's a game room too where guests can play billiards, darts, pingpong, chess and etc.
3. Native - if you love nature or if you have foreigner friends who would like to experience Philippines at its best: service, ambiance and hospitality, then this is the best choice.
4. Marine Sanctuary - 400 meters from the shore, past the dream islet, there's a marine reserve where guests can go snorkeling and it's rich in marine life.
5. Peace - only a few people find this resort and I can't think of any other resorts in Panglao as tranquil as Panglao Island Nature Resort.
6. Panglao Kare-Kare - I ordered it during my first night and I never stopped until I left the resort. Kare-Kare on mashed potato. Super yum!
The place has some downside.
1. Food - the food is average but pricey and there are no places outside the resort where you can get food. You have to hire a trike to take you either to Alona or Tagbilaran. There are a lot of choices at the hotel and some are worth it but the price just aint pocket friendly.
2. Wild Animals - its a nature resort and I had a frightening experience. I was signing the receipt for the food I ordered and a snake came in slithering with it's head up ready to bite because we were on it's way. In a second, I realized nasa taas na ko ng kama and it went inside my bag. Housekeeping helped in getting the sea snake out of my room. It was scary but awesome! If this happened to others baka ng wala na sa front desk haha. I enjoyed it haha!
3. Tide - water can be chest deep during high tide but deeper past the islet. Late afternoon, pwede na maglakad haha!
I really love this place and I had a hard time leaving. Stayed for five days and I didn't want to leave. I will come back if I get to visit Panglao again. It was my only summer vacation but it's the best I had in years.

Went here on a day trip with friends. We got the day pass since we were booked somewhere else. The place was so nice. The view was perfect. When we got there, most people were using the pool so we decided to get a tan first and go to the beach. The view from that area plus the sound of the waves was just relaxing.
We had the voucher from the day pass that gave us 3 450 consumable vouchers for food. The food was really good too. Wouldve loved to stay longer but we had to get back to Cebu.

Throwback to one of my favorite resorts that I've been to.
If there's one thing that I will never forget aside from their great spa services, their infinity pool, mini dinner buffet and tranquil place full of plants and being like one with environment would be this dish that we had during lunch.
It's hard to believe what you can find unique in resorts. For me, this stands out in their menu and definitely one that I would never ever forget. My parents and my brother were all ordering the usual till I notice this one on the menu: Ube Pasta w/ Carbonara sauce.
Ube? Are you kidding me? On pasta noodles? I told them about it and they agreed to give it a shot. It's a chance in a lifetime and you may never know if you will be able to get to try it again so yeah a bit of adventurous for all of us.
When it came out (as seen in the pic), it's like this is just blew my mind. So out of curiosity, we had to try this out. The pasta noodles itself didnt taste like the pasta. Somewhat has the flavor but not overpowering. When mixed it with the sauce, it was really interesting considering I have never tasted this one. Ube pasta + white sauce w/ mushrooms and bacon bits + parmesan cheese = ️️️
I wonder if they still sell it there. I just hope so. I would really love to order that dish again. It's like pasta bringing to a whole new level. ️

This resort has various reception options for any events. Be it garden, pool, beach, or islet. Verdant Pavilion is one of the perfect receptions for weddings.
It can occupy 800 to 1000 guests. You're like inside a huge beautiful garden sanctuary. Just perfect for dream wedding.
From the entrance, there's a short wood bridge where you are going to cross to go to the reception area and see that beautiful fountain in the photo.
I love their food. I tried Grilled Fish, Chicken BBQ, Sotanghon Guisado, Chopsuey, and Salad for dessert. There were lots of food but I wasn't able to eat more because I got sore throat. Just wrong timing for me.
Their bathroom? Big and clean.
The wedding was a typical Filipino wedding. Though the guests were not all Filipinos because my Filipina friend got married to a Norwegian guy. So 50% of the guests are foreigners. The wedding ended well and it seemed that everyone had fun.

You can already tell from the photo I posted how relax and serene I felt during my day visit (dint get to stay the night because we had another family get together)!
I absolutely love Panglao Island! They have the best staff plus you get to go around the place in golf carts! HAHA and true to their name, the place is almost all nature! Very relaxing and tranquil! and i love how there weren't that many people last sunday so it felt like we had the resort all to ourselves! :)
The bar/pool part was under rennovation tho so that was a bummer. I remember me and my dad would use to stay in that part and have drinks (his was wine and mine was iced tea HAHA) whilst in the pool complete with stone stools and all. but that was a looong long time ago.
The place decors aren't too fancy shmancy which helps give it a more homey vibe!
The food was pretty good but they had really tiny servings. If I remember it right, guests who check in have complimentary buffets! I remember loving their ebi tempura! We dint get it last time tho coz i left my meds at home.
Definitely a must try if ever you're in Bohol! and aaaahh they have the bestestestest spa service ever!

Our stay in this resort was not part of the original plan. We decided to push through with the trip because our resort said that everything was back to normal. We went to Bohol in November but we didn't know electricity was down all over Bohol until we got there because of Yolanda and the earthquake. We had a very bad experience with the previous resort that we decided to look for a new resort after just one day.
After looking for good rates online, we decided to check in to this resort. It's a huge resort that's quite far from Tagbilaran city and Alona Beach. But the place is peaceful and has everything that you need to relax. If you're not the type who likes nightlife, you will love it here. They have a pool and a beach with a cute private island. The package that we got was discounted and included breakfast , lunch and dinner -all buffet. They also offer shuttle twice a day to Tagbilaran city just in case you need to buy anything. You got to try their Mit-hi Spa. Best massage ever. We got vouchers together with our package too.
The rooms were big, nice and homey. It's not your usual hotel room but the room was clean and the beds were comfy. We had a small veranda too.
Overall, this is a good place to relax.

Came here cause of a school trip last summer. I gotta say, it's really a great place. The rooms are spacious. Staff is nice as well. I loved that it has a private island. We actually had dinner on that island. I loved that you get to ride golf carts to get around especially if you are lazy to walk. There was even a cave here. It was pretty cool. You just gotta be careful cause it can get quite slippery. The waters are clear in the cave and you can swim through an underwater tunnel. If only I knew how to swim, I would have done it.
Best part for me would be the spa. Kind of pricey but it was the best. I was placed in a couples room together with a friend. It had a jacuzzi and a good view of the beach. I got a swedish massage for P950, I believe. I got to say it was totally worth it. Me and my friends changed into colorful robes. Then we were lead to a waiting room. There they washed our feet in a wooden bowl with flowers. After that the massage started. I fell asleep right away. It was kinda shocking cause I never sleep during massages. It was that good. My friend too fell asleep and she even said she was drooling. Haha well to sum it all up, it was the best massage I ever had. I can't wait to come back soon.

It's not always that I find a resort that's perfect. And I mean in all aspects.
Ok, not really, because the water was just waist-deep and reached my chest when it rained...But then again, that's a relative issue.
Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa delighted us from day 1. From the airport pickup to the resort check-in to the full-stay VVIP service and then some!
The ride going there was a bit rough but it was tolerable since the destination is an oasis. As we enter the resort, the road going there is like that of Disneyland's although smaller and more "nature-y". There are trees everywhere and all I saw were green, green, and green (and some colors). And what's impressive was, even if it's tree-infested, it's clean. Everyone's amiable and cheerful and nice.
The facade's not grandiose but it was pretty and relaxing. The whole place stayed true to their name --- Nature. As we entered the receiving area, breakfast was offered but since I was still full from the airline food, I decided to roam around and wait for our room card.
Like Pearl Farm, their mode of transpo inside the resort are golf carts as well but theirs are more efficient and greater in number. We were brought to our villas. Every villa has a veranda fronting the view of the sea and the garden around us. It was very tranquil and relaxing, I felt like I was in Spa Land. Our rooms were quite large (but not as large as Pearl Farm's), about 60sqm or more, the bed is the size of two double beds combined, and there's a sulihiya beside the lamp and the floor to ceiling glass wall for when you want to "moment" yourself. there's also a large LED TV, a phone, dryer, a small room leading to the closet area and the toilet and bath (separate rooms). The housekeeping automatically refreshes your room and replenishes everything every day unless you put a sign.
Now the food, to be honest, I've never been in a resort that leaves me really impressed when it comes to food... Until this one. The very first thing I popped in my mouth-- their shrimp tempura was just heaven! I'm not a fan of shrimp tempura but their tempura made me change my mind. The batter was very light and crispy and the sauce totally balanced the crispness and the freshness of the shrimp. Three thumbs up! We ordered several plates of it in almost all our meals the whole stay. Most of their other food like the fish, grilled seafood, their ala carte and etc are also very good I loved the triple cheesy pasta. The one thing I didn't like was the steak, it was tough and rubbery
The beach was also very nice, so clear that you can see the fishes swimming under you. You can also see other fishes jumping almost near the shore. The sand was so fine it felt like powder under my feet. There's also the infinity pool for the less adventurous and the jacuzzi for drunks... Like us.
The service was superb, I can say 101% good. I'm not sure if it's their protocol or if it's just because we kept them up and about with our orders Most of them even greeted us by first name basis every morning or every time they see us. and everytime we had something we needed or wanted, one call and they're there. They showed the real meaning of efficiency.
When we requested to have our dinner by the pool, they set it up for us. The beach was just until dusk but we requested to swim at night and they extended it for us. We had lunch under a tent on a rainy day down the beach and they still served us food regardless if the waiter was already soooo drenched (poor thing!)... We also abused the videoke room and they waited on us... So I can't complain about the service.
Included in the package was a complimentary spa treatment for two and breakfast and dinner for two every day and free use of the amenities like the kayak and the boat.
Their good service extended up to our take-off because they also handled our check-in in the airport. When we arrived, they just gave us our boarding passes. Service deluxe indeed!
So yeah, I'd definitely go back again and again. For the beach, for the place, for the service, for the amenities, and for the food.
