Papermoon releases their version of cheesetart and among the cheesetart that I've tried are the least appealing in terms of look. It look somewhat like a cheesecake placed on a tart. It lacks the burnt mark that I love on my cheesetart. Tastewise it was good. It was unique compared to the other cheesetart in the market. I love it on its own and pricewise it was a bit cheaper. Also got to try the mango and ube flavor of their cheesetart. Both were good but the added flavor wasn't to distinct.

Overall it was good but it will be hard for it to compete with so many other good choices in the market.

So yeah. You've heard about the new player in cheesetarts.
It was overall okay.
128073🏻same size as the big two players
128073🏻color looks pale. It does not look like it came out of the oven
128073🏻 the crust was lame
128073🏻 it does not smell cheese. It smells... its crust.
128073🏻 cheesy taste? Nope. Tasted more like yema-- so does its texture
128073🏻price. Winner.

Then again, it's not bad.
I actually was not able to distinguish the difference between its mango and plain variant.
Agree with Christina R the ube variant stood out more.

I must admit, I did like the Paper Moon cheese tart when I tried it right out of their warmer. It's really more of a mini cheesecake, the filling is dense, firm and slightly tangy.

However, Jayson J wanted to do a #foodshowdown between the cheese tarts available in the market and comparing this with Lava (#1 for us, with Kristin A & Dennis O), Pablo and Kumori, PM trailed behind the more popular players.

On its own masarap naman. But when you eat this with the others, baka di mo na ito pansinin.

I wasn't able to taste the mango in the mango tart, the ube did have a hint of ube.

Still something ok to try.

Paper Moon recently added cheese tarts to their product line. At 60 pesos per piece, it was pretty good!

It's like a warm mini cheesecake. The filling is a bit firm, and they're very generous with it. I prefer a better crust, but it's not bad for the price.

They have a cake sized one, like Pablo's. not sure how much it is. They also have an ube and mango one which I have yet to try.

Available in selected stores only.

Been wanting to try this place out as its the first one to bring layers of crepe to the metro or 128533 as far as i can remember.

Got here with few customers and went straight to order Matcha Crepe Cake, aside from wanting to try out their matcha flavor, this flavor just seems to have the biggest slice as compare to the ube and original one 128522

At 225 per slice i felt that its a bit too much, the matcha flavor was very light and i was left with the feeling of "yun lang pala yun" 128514 honestly if ever i want a crepe cale like these i would rush towards one at valero that is much more cheaper and serves good food.

Staff needs more experience as while im waiting for my crepe cake they were shouting to each other which table each crepe cake belongs to and it took a while for the crepe cake to be just sitting at the counter. I have to get the order myself.

I've been wondering what's with Papermoon Cafe: The Fine Art of Mille Crepes so to satisfy my curiosity and #ATM craving, my friend and I headed to its Glorietta 3 branch yesterday.

And finally, I'm using looloo app! 128514 and this, apparently is my first review! 128588 #HoorayForFirsts

Coming from Greenbelt 1 entrance, it's a looong walk to Glorietta 3. I'd say it is not in a strategic location coz we had a difficult time locating where it was. And the signage was a bit small.
We even asked for assistance, yet we missed it twice!!! (Maybe because of our non-stop chikahan hahaha)

All the while, I thought it was a closed-type cake house, like Starbucks, but I was mistaken. I was imagining it to be a cozy and homie go-to cake place. Nevertheless, we still dined to try the so-called "crepe cakes".

Seeing a LOT of options, it took a while before we finally decided what to order. (We did asked what's their best seller---Original, though I was eyeing for the New! Ultimate Ube Mille crepe) so we both got a slice of each! 🤗

I ordered the set meal which costs P260 for a lemon iced tea and an Original slice. (It could be a cup of coffee or a different flavor, like chocolate, and another flavor which totally forgot kasi my eyes were fixed with the other cakes 128514 ) For my pretty friend, she got an ala carte Ube slice, priced at P 225.

Since its my first time to try a crepe cake, I liked it.
It was a bit pricey, but the taste is not bad at all.

The cashier (Weng is her name) was so enthusiastic explaining how their loyalty card works.
You get to avail of their loyalty card if you meet their minimum required order of P450. Since we did, we were entitled for one. 1 stamp for a minimum of P250 purchase single receipt.

Good thing, if you wanna try all other flavors, you get treats after every 4th visit! Who doesn't want freebies huh? ;)
4th stamp= Free coffee, iced or hot
8th stamp= Free slice of mille crepe (Original)
12th stamp= Free P500 gift certificate

The other wait staff volunteered to take our photos (like he was so used to it). He even checks if we still have water. When we asked him, if all branches designed like this, he told us that Glorietta 3 branch is their first branch and the rest of the branches are in the usual cafe set-up (like what I originally had in mind!) By the way, they have ten branches already! 128076

Branches: Glorietta 3, Trinoma, SM Megamall, SM Aura Premier, ATC Corporate Center, Uptown Place Mall, SM City Fairview, SM Mall of Asia, Easteood Mall, UP Town Center

Customer service is rated as 5/5.

So if you also wanna try something new, head over to the nearest Papermoon Cafe near you! 128521 #Halloolooween2016

Not impressed, I got the original crepe with coffee for PhP260. Nothing special, or should I try the matcha one?

Maganda ka lang sa picture. 128546

I wasn't impressed with their latest Matcha offering. 128543 It doesn't have that rich flavor that I expected, just blah. I think the mango one is better. On the other hand, their matcha-hazelnut drink is too sweet (sweetness level 200%!) and tastes more hazelnut than matcha. Disappointed. I would rather spend my 128181 in Starbucks or CBTL. 128546

The first time I ate a slice of crepe cake was in Starbucks 6750; it was a combination of chocolate and vanilla cream in between layers of paper-thin crepes. Aside from cheesecake and soufflé, crepe is another favorite dessert because I'm amazed by how it is made. I was lucky enough to satisfy my crepe cake fix when Starbucks didn't sell the product anymore (thank you, Pepper Lunch!) so you can imagine my excitement to try out the crepe cakes sold by Paper Moon Cafe.

I was able to try all the flavors offered: original, chocolate, strawberry and mango (pictured here). Verdict: it is SO GOOD! Considering the desserts are an indulgence in my book, I didn't mind spending that much to sample each. I rarely go to Makati so I decided to make it worthwhile. At Php 225 per slice or the Php 350 Mini Mille Crepe, it'll give your wallet a nasty hole so when you do try it out, it's best shared with friends. They also offer other pastries and even drinks to complement you Mille Crepe experience; I went with something simple: calamansi juice.

Service was great; staff were attentive and open to questions from first-time customers. My only complaint here is the location: this branch is situated along one of Glorietta's walkways across Marks & Spencer. Maybe it can be improved one day to look more like a quaint patisserie? Just a suggestion.

Overall, I liked my experience in Paper Moon Cafe. I'll be back but I'll try other branches this time, somewhere closer to home like SM Megamall. #henrysinstaxgiveaway

In an effort to avoid traffic, I got to the area too early for the dinner meeting and decided to stay here to do some more work. Since it was late afternoon on a Monday, there weren't many people and I was able to choose a table with an outlet nearby.

Since it was my first time, I decided to get a slice of their original mille crepe paired with green tea as I already had too many cups of coffee. It was LOVE AT FIRST BITE! 128525128525128525 The crepe cake tasted just right and not sweet at all. The cream in between the crepe layers was surprisingly light with just the right amount of sweetness. The cakes were obviously handmade given the uneven edges which added to its character. I had to savor each and every bite... 128523128523128523

The green tea was served in a pot and tasted like the real matcha tea, perfect for the crepe cake, IMHO.

Will definitely be back for more and will try their other flavors.

What sets paper moon apart from the others -- the layers are tighter and the cream is so thinly/evenly spready that when you slice the it the layers do not slip and slide.

The caramelized sugar on top was a nice addition to the flavor of the crepe.

Gotta try the chocolate/mango flavored ones next time

Mille crepe is very always tempting and interesting. I love it and enjoy it most of the time since I love anything pancake/waffle/crepe flavor. Problem is, I think there's a better local brand that makes one here and maybe we're too obsessed with Japanese/ HK brand that comes to our way lol I for one is guilty but this one just didn't make the cut for me. It's good and all as it's got the right hint of sweetness, creamy filling and, thin but with right density texture crepe. Really good with other fruit flavors: but that's about it for me. I'll be sure to think of this though when I need to bring something for the less exciting crowd. 1285569996🏻️
