After the boyfie and I had our sushi fix, I wanted something sweet. So we went for Paper Moon. 128568

I really wanted to try the Matcha Mille Crepe cake but sadly they just ran out when we got there. Huhuhu 128575128575128575 So we opted for the next craze, Ube. We had the Ube Mille Crepe Cake. 128569

I actually still liked this very much. Not too sweet and the purple yam flavor is quite pronounced. It made me imagine how the Matcha would be too. 128569 I would definitely come back to try more items. 128568

I needed to separate my Matcha Mille Crepe review with the service and other stuff I ordered with it just because everything else was not so good!

Their Matcha Hazenut Blended drink was just okay. It tasted more hazelnut than matcha. Maybe if there was more matcha in it, it could have been knock out. This was served after about 30minutes and I hate the attitude of the server that day! She asked if it was okay to serve the frappe without the whipped cream and I said no because come on the whipped cream came with the package that I paid for! And besides, daughter loves whipped cream! She was a little irritated with me and in a not so polite way, she said "ah okay gagawa nlng ako" 128545128545128545128545128545 So ganon ate? Tinatamad ka lang gumawa?? At napilitan ka pa dahil umorder ako?!? Point me to whoever manages this branch or Papermoon PH in general please! Took her forever to serve the drink!

Anyhow, the Chocolate Chiffon Cupcake was a waste of money. Looked nice but that's it! For 125Php 128078🏻

Matcha Mille Crepe!

I've been wanting to try this ever since I saw the post of Papermoon but then I was a little hesitant because it's not cheap and I don't want to waste money on something not worth it. But after Reich T approved, I know I gotta go and try it!!

Off to SM Aura, I had nothing else on mind. Ordered a slice of Matcha Mille Crepe - 225Php for something that will take me about 4-5 forkfuls 128563 Better be worth it! I also got a Matcha Hazelnut Ice Blended drink plus a Chocolate Chiffon Cupcake for the daughter.

The Mille Crepe was awesome! A great stack of thin crepe layered with alternating goodness of creams- the white gorgeous cream present in all other Papermoon mille crepe variants, not too sweet and light AND with matcha cream that has the right matcha kick. They mixed pretty well giving a balanced ratio of bitterness and sweetness plus creaminess. I just wish it was cheaper.

Paper Moon Cafe made a name for itself for it's decadent crepe cakes.  I am not really fond of this French treat as I find it too simple and i think my palate is not sophisticated enough to appreciate the taste.

Then there's the matcha version,  i was sold.    When it comes to matcha,  i go all in.  Albeit the stormy afternoon,  i rushed to Aura to try this matcha treat.  Prices are steep,  one slice will cost you php 220.  And man,  i tried my very best to snap a good photo.  First,  it's not as green as i thought it would be.  There are probably 10 or so layers of crepe stacked together.  Each layer is slathered with matcha flavored cream.  The top is sprinkled with powdered sugar. As for the taste,  i liked it as it is not too sweet - you can taste the matcha,  not too pronounced but you get to taste the leafy taste.

Crepe cakes are sophisticated dessert.  You have to appreciate the subtlety and simplicity to truly enjoy its decadence.

Paper Moon's Chocolate Mille Crepe (P225 per slice) is worth a try, but it's not something I would rave about. This light dessert has mildly sweet chocolate cream in between layers of delicately prepared crepes.

The mille crepe is best paired with their Green Tea served in a teapot (P200)128076🏻128522

Best things in life are free... No desserts! 9786128523

After having lunch at Poulet Manille (which happened to be closed for good! WTH! Haven't reviewed it yet. Too bad! The place was great tho! Their chicken and the pasta! Nuff said!) We had dessert here. Ordered so much from chocolate, vanilla and mango crepes. A little pricey tho. But I guess it's because how delicate the thin crepes where made. Not too sweet too.

Chocolate Mille Crepe is definitely better than the Original. Not sure if it intentionally does not have that crispy top layer.

For Valentine's day they have Strawberry cake as a special item at Php 350. The strawberries were really huge though.

Several months back, social media was raving about this quaint pastry shop known for its crepe cakes. Available in flavors such as original, chocolate, mango and strawberry, kids and adults alike flock to the shop like bees toward honey. But since its first shop was located in Makati, its sweet aroma did not reach me till… it opened a branch in SM Aura.

Hello, Paper Moon!

Finally, after so many months, I could now sink my teeth on those soft, delectable layers of thin crepe!

I was rushing to go home when I made a quick stop here and unfortunately had to wait for my turn as the server was busy with a group of indecisive diners. It gave me some time though to take snapshots of the place.

I wanted to get strawberry because strawberry is LOVE but they ran out of slices and I was not willing to splurge PHP350 for a mini cake. (I was still not sure if it’s worth PHP350 so I hesitated.)

I ended up buying a slice of mango crepe (PHP225) and had it prepped to go. (And the server was nice to accommodate my request to have my slice wrapped first as I really had to go home ASAP.)

After giving my tummy some time to digest my heavy dinner, I started to plate my crepe cake and…

It was delicious. It was like having real mango crepe without the mango cubes.

The top part of the cake was slightly dry and burnt but it was still okay. I loved the middle part best as it had the most mango filling and cream.

But the question is, is it worth PHP225?

Perhaps if you like crepes. Not really if you’re not fond of it.

I’ll definitely try strawberry next time!
