College life is the best, they say. I must say our block was not that united until we had our team building activity at Paradise Adventure Camp, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. And finally, this time we were able to put color on our drawing. (If you guys know what I mean, lol)
Being an introvert is something you have to think if it is an advantage or not. Yes I am an introvert and when I heard the news that we were going to have a team building I initially do the thing I am good at, which is to panic! Of course I had to! Who will be my team mates? Can I choose them? Or can I just not join it? I'm doomed, I know. Months of planning, on where would it be and how much to shell out, what food to serve.
Having brilliant minds combined with laziness, we decided to have "food committee" who would be in-charge of the food (yes chelsea, it is obvious) *note that the team building was part of one of our major subjects, and the food committee were the ones who haven't reported yet that time, so it was still a fair situation for everyone*
Okay, let's go straight to the camp where we had our block united (naks!)
Paradise Adventure Camp is located at Tungkong Mangga, SJDM, Bulacan. Yes, SJDM is right after Fairview so it is still accessible from Manila but the camp is somehow situated at the shadowy/forest-y part of SJDM but still safe!
We payed 700 each for the team building for land and water activities (yay for water activities!)
We were given a room to stay, well a big room without anything but tables and chairs, a place for our bags and for us to prepare for the activities. Adjacent are the comfort room/wash room with 4 cubicles. And that I have to commend for the strong water supply!
We were divided into two teams.
Morning session was for land activities—Cargo net, Spider Web and Synchronized Walking! + after the team activities we were given the chance to try Rappelling and Zipline wuhoo!
We had an hour for lunch break! Salute to the food committee!!!
Afternoon session was for water activities—Water Volleyball, Acid River and the other one which I couldn't remember the name *hehe* + we had the chance to try their 7-rope course for water survival!
And the remaining hours until 5pm was free use of the swimming pool!
I enjoyed everything! From the activities to the food and to the idea that during the team building activity I was not an introvert! I let myself came out from my shell.
+ Facilitators are friendly and very warm!
If your company is planning to have a team building, why not give Paradise Adventure Camp a try!
