Ramyun noodles tasted like instant noodles. or maybe it was and they just added a few ingredients to it? I think i should've tried something else.

It's my friend's birthday today so she treated me here! We ordered the chicken + bibimbap + the rice cake something. All i can say is i'm very satisfied with their food! First of all the chicken which only costs 150something (sorry i forgot) consists of 3 drumstick pieces + rice + veg + iced tea!! Super sulit! Tastewise it's okay juicy and the sauce is flavorful but the chicken itself is a bit bland for me. The bibimbap which my friend ordered is also tasty!! Beef + vegtables + egg + rice + chili sauce!!! The rice cake is just okay hahaha i'm not really a fan of it but it's okay 128522 overall we were very satisfied tastewise and it's also affordable too!

No picture for the bibimbap because my friend mixed it already and hindi daw mukang appetizing 128514128514128514

Last night was our first time at Paranara cause we didn't know it existed 128517 They serve free iced tea, yayy! My friend and I ordered their Bibimbap and Ra-Myun noodles. The vegetables were fresh! And the Bibimbap was delicious! 128588 It was my first time to try the Ra-Myun noodles so I'm not sure if it should really taste like that, it was good, tho for me it tasted like a regular noodle soup.

But what will make you come back for more is their generous serving not to mention their affordable price and good service! It felt like we were in a korean novela bec of the ambiance, the kpop music and the cute server (w/c I think was the owner too), so adorbs! 128514 Plus they served 2 ice cream sandwich cakes for free! 127846127881

If you want to satisfy your cravings for Korean food and at a low budget, Paranara is the best & nearest place to visit in Katipunan! Will definitely come back and try some other dishes. 128147

Free iced tea with refills, yay!!!
Humble setting and menu (in a good way). I ordered bibimbap. In other countries I have gotten mountains of veg in my bibimbap, and here it was heavier on the rice -- but still a hearty serving of everything, and I am not complaining. I suspect they did this to suit Filipino tastes.
The manager/owner(?) is Korean and explained the little dishes he put in front of me. Sauce, kimchi, etc. If you don't know what an item is, just ask! He speaks English and tries very hard with a little Filipino.
Ps. Tip -- Bibimbap is served in a bowl with all the veg, meat, egg and rice arranged separately. Do not eat it that way! It will taste like nothing! First add chili sauce to taste, then mix everything well and eat with fork and spoon.

Paranara is 128147

Every visit in Paranara is always worth it for me! Affordable, generous servings, Korea in Katipunan. What more can I ask for?

During my last visit, I ordered their Bibimbap (Php 168) but I also order their Kimbap/Tuna Kimbap whenever I feel and crave for anything Korean. Plus soon I want to try their Katsudon because I heard it's the 128163!! What I like about the place now is that aside from the usual free serving of kimchi, iced tea is also now free (a glass)! 128516 College and free food = great combo hehe 128523

A while ago, I went there and the aircon was broken. Maybe because of the connected lines that were affected during the fire at a nearby condominium. However, I won't deduct stars because the food has been always great! Plus, a while ago, we were given another free serving of kimchi. Yay! 128525🇰🇷

*Late post*

This place used to be Hanayo, now Paranara. I don't know why they changed the name but they serve same dishes.

When I'm craving for kimchi, this is my go to place. Just for 50php I have a (paper) bowl of kimchi all to myself. And oh, they sell nori at a very cheap price as well for only 20php per pack (unlike the ones sold in supermarkets around 80php for 3 packs).128077

After the first time, we never came back! KIDDING! Loved the Korean Cuisine which actually is adapted to suite the taste buds of the Filipino Market (Good job chef).

Another thing i love the most is seldom you see the place jam packed, so you can eat at peace unlike other places where you can't even find a table

A must try for everyone who loves anything Korean. The ambiance, the food, the music, the smell and everything is just sooo Korean, except for their chopsticks (Koreans use flat metal chopsticks not the round metal one). Haha! But ignoring the chopsticks part, everything is almost perfect! We tried their bibimbap 비빔밥 and oodeng 우뎅. Legit and authentic Korean food, I must say! Really worth a visit! 128077128077128077

On my second visit, the bibimpap had no alfalfa sprouts. Look at the picture. Wala. That's when I realized that that tiny detail made a big difference.

I don't know if it was just the sprouts, or if the entire meal was tainted by the taste of betrayal. It was still good, but very far from my first visit.

I have since had their kimchi stew (quite good, but weird) and their cheese ramyun (tasted like an excellent instant ramyun, but with gooey cheese and a chiffonade of fresh leeks). So, yes, I still like Paranara. But I'm more wary now.

Simply good, affordable, authentic bibimbap. No need to get a double. The single order is plenty at P150, and good enough to share if you're ordering other stuff. Will definitely come back to see what else they serve.

Service was prompt and polite, and they were a bit eager to refill my soup and water. Not a bad thing, but it was almost funny to see my glass and bowl fill up when I look away.

Sarap Korean fud! All time fav bibimbop, plus the crispy chix, superb! Iced tea is full glass not the itchy bity tiny cup some resto would serve. Must try premium ice creams also for desert. Happy stomach to max!

As soon as we walked in the door, I immediately got a sense of Korean culture - from the decor to what was on television.

The food was AMAZING and I am glad we found out about this gem. I spent P300 on kimbap with spicy squid and bibimbap and was overly satisfied with my choice. The food was spicy but not overdone. The service was great and very, very friendly. Food came out rather quickly and we didn't have to wait very long!

We will be returning. Also, the place is now called Paranara.

Its called Paranara now though I dont know why they changed it. I came here with my blockmates. Only two out of all of us have been here before and they said that its a great Korean restaurant because of the reasonable prices and good quality of the food.

I ordered a japchae since I was craving for noodles, it costs 130 php. It was okay, i didnt get to finish it cause there was just so much. And it was also a bit dry, i wish tgey'd put more sesame oil. Most of my classmates ordered the bibimbap solo (with free Melona ice cream) and the tokatsu. I got a taste of both and I must say the tokatsu is amazing. It was crunchy on the outside but soft inside. And the sauce was just heavenly.

We were all served the appetizer, KimChi, which I didn't eat because I never liked it. Then they served this bulalo-tasting soup, the only difference was that this one was a bit spicy.

The service was great, we got our food in like 5-10 minutes. The only thing I trouble about this place is that it's small. I feel like only 20 people could dine inside at a time.

Five stars for service and ambiance 128522

First of all, Hanayo is now called Paranara. Since I haven't been here before, I can't tell what else has changed besides their name haha

Anyway, service was really great here! They give you free side dish every time you ask for it! They even gave my friend those 'fish cake/stick' (or whatever it's called) when she asked for it even after we pay our bills hahaha

Also, we actually enjoyed the HD tv and all the korean music videos! We're not really big fans, but since we're already there and sitting beside the tv, then why not try to listen to K-pop and those super colorful MVs right? 128537

As for the food, we ordered Bibimbap and Sobulgogi for 150 & 145. Considering the price, food here is good! Plus, the owner is authentic Korean, so I'm guessing the food is kinda authentic also haha

Oh and they give you free Melona ice bar for every order of Bibimbap 128061

Koreans would definitely appreciate this place. They serve authentic Korean dishes with free Kimchi and soup as appetizers.

I ordered Kimchi Chigae and my friend ordered Bibimbap. My dish is a huge hit so as my friend's. The spicy flavor and the sourness of the kimchi will give you a glimpse of heaven when you taste it. lol

Try this place if you're around Katipunan and imagine you are in S. Korea.
